Red Mane

You greet Red Mane regally and he greets you back with a bowed head, licking your chin in reverence.
Red Mane plops next to you and tells how he's proud to work under your leadership. You wonder if he ever wants to be a king, but he nuzzles you and says no - he'd be a poor replacement for you!

The pride was shocked when Little Mamba's son grew up to be such a large lion with a large mane. His gentle, kind personality was quite the shock too. Rather than sending him to form a pride of his own, King Ashura decided to let him stay as a subordinate male due to his humble nature; there was no worry that he would ever try to take over the pride because of his softness.
Red Mane tends to be a great listening ear to those who want to vent, and he often helps the lionesses hunt or defend the pride when needed. He is seen as a friendly gentle giant who adores his pridemates and would do anything for them, especially his cubhood companion and close, affectionate friend, Spotted Lily. The one thing he regrets is that he'll never be able to have cubs of his own, even with the lioness he loves, but at least he can help her raise the cubs everyone else has.
