Bright Vesper

Whatever secrets surrounded his origins, Bright's birth was welcomed into the pride with open arms. Rather than share the same deep and beautiful pelt that his mother wears, Bright's appearance all but proclaims he was destined to be born in the Sun Kingdom: fur bright and fiery, like the Sun itself had reached down and touched him. He was born strong and healthy, too, more so than many of the pride had ever seen, so many of them having grown up in lands ravaged by drought. Vesper was a good omen for the pride, undoubtedly.

Equally doted on and strictly coached through dedication to the pride and the honor of recognizing the vastness of the Sun's power by his blood and brood mothers alike, Bright grew up energetic and sweet-tempered, if a little clumsy and brash at times. He prides himself on being impossibly to intimidate – not in the sense that he never feels fear, but in the sense that no anxiety over his performance would ever keep him from trying something, at least once. He's generally known in the High Noon Court as the lioness who's down to help with any project or prank, provided nobody gets hurt.

Confident and wholeheartedly loyal to the Sun Kingdom, Vesper interprets the primacy of the Sun in all things as a sign that he should use every daylight hour to the fullest. This mostly comprises a good work ethic and a distaste for sitting still too long, but also makes it a bit easy for them to heed hedonistic impulses, as well. He'd never ditch a task to do things he enjoys instead, but... sometimes he might half-ass something a little to get through it faster. Even if he'll ultimately feel bad for it and try to make up for it later.

While he hasn't seemed to absorb any of his mother's more openly judgmental tendencies based on appearances, he does have a bit of her vanity, intensely proud of his rugged and extremely dashing mane.
