This cub is from my lovely friend |♡| Ari |♡| (#294135) go check her out. I’ve based a lot of this cubs future lore off of the lore she’s created for her pride. She is super talented and amazing at creating some awesome stuff! You should totally go get some art commissions and adopt some cubbies from her too:)

Lady Idun looks down upon the little cub with a smile, though she keeps her words short and a bit strained as if she’s uncomfortable. “You, my dear, will be known as Young Freja from now until, you’ve matured into a lovely young lioness..”
The little cub didn’t seem to catch onto the light disdain and.. fear? that laced the lionesses voice as she spoke, only grinned broadly as she watched the Lady swiftly move away and sit back in her little group that consisted of two very decked out cubs, and another Lady.

The cub, now known as Freja, looked up at the looming trees before her, unsure of how to proceed. "Are you sure about this, Lady Idun?"
The lioness stood beside her nodded, gently nudging her forward and into the cover of the trees where she was greeted by a rather.. intimidating lioness.

The lioness pelt was dappled grey, marred by red stripes. She was adorned in black jewelry and had a hyena carcass draped over her shoulders. No wonder the flies were so thick today.
She looked upon the cub with judgement, eyes flitting slowly over her bleak pelt. Apparently she approved of what she saw as she huffed a breath, shot a glare to the lioness whom was still standing before the trees and pivoted, beckoning the young cub to follow her.

This cub was now in the care of the Galixis Pride.

The implications of the name Freja, and the goddess the name is based upon has been taken into consideration, and knowingly picked out as this cub is meant to be a sign of fear from the pride she was adopted from. The North Wanderers fear this cub, and what she could have possibly done to be cast from the unknown, yet powerful pride she was birthed from as they do not know much of the Aurum Pride and strive to assume of their best knowledge on how to keep their gods happy with this cub. Therefore, they have draped her in the skin of an albino hyena as show of mutation to hopefully trick malevolent deities and have lea them to mostly fend for herself (as show with her… poorly hygiene).
Freja is a goddess of the Nordic pantheon, associated with love, beauty, fertility, war (and Valkyries) and magic. Traditionally in Old Norse, her name was written as Freyja, though the modern spelling is Freja (anglicised to Freya). It’s meaning is ‘lady’ or ‘mistress’, just as her brother’s name Freyr means ‘lord’ in Old Norse.
