It was thought he might've been blind, but his mother -Lazari did not believe such claims. He just needed a little more time. And she was right, in a way. Daybreak did open his eyes, at the same time beginning the many problems the pride would face because of them. He had to be blindfolded after way too many of his pridemates were sent to the Herb Grove after looking him straight in the eyes. Most came out of it with only minor burns on their faces, but some went blind altogether. He doesn't remember why he needs to wear his blindfold, but doesn't mind it that much, neither does he care enough to ask or be worried about it. He is usually calm and collected without a care in the world. From a very young age he was treated differently than others his age, and it made him a little complacent with his current life, hardly having any care in the world. Everyone always did everything for him, so why would it be any different now? --------------------------------------------------------------- You were just chillaxing when KEEP came over with a mouthful of flowers. Awwww, cute. You don't mind how mashed up they got while the cub was walking. Daybreak is busy meticulously grooming his paws and claws of any dirt and blood that clings to them. They have to be perfect. He doesn't even notice you. Daybreak seemed to be trying to get your attention. As you approached, you see that he had lined up several meerkat carcasses neatly on the ground. He smiles and awaits your praise. As you walk into his sight, Daybreak proudly gets up to strut in front of you, showing off his sleek fur. You see Daybreak strutting around, chest held high. As you walk up, he tells you that this pride is the greatest pride in the lands! Well now, damn straight! Your lion roars, feeling the warmth of fire from inside and a chilly breeze of whispers on the outside.
