☼A traveling lioness is a lioness that travels from pride to pride and wears the evidence of their travels with them. Players that take in the traveling lioness must write a story about the lionesses experience with them and equip an accessory onto the lioness as a souvenir from their clan. They must then pass them on to the next person.☼

☼Two watched her mother wander out of the camp, leaving them behind. One and Two had traveled with their mother on her adventures until this point on. Iris had decided it was best to leave the two behind to live their own lives. A few moons later, One told Two that she remembered seeing Iris, their mother, receive a message from her home price, sunset clan . One said she was interested in meeting their pride of Kin, but Two shut down the idea, since neither of them knew the direction. Two was looking at the horizon with one before Two suddenly Yelled, “Sunset Clan! It’s where the sun sets!” She exclaimed. Two thought the idea was too childish “You’re crazy, it’s probably just because they like the name.”. “Cmon! Don’t you want to find mom too? It’s so boring staying in one place!” Two paused, in thought. “Fine, but let’s go now, right now, before my nerves change my mind.” She mumbled. “I’ll go let them know!” One bounded off and spoke to the leader, they approved of their decision and they both set off. One and Two set off towards the peaks. A week later they arrived at sunset clan and introduced themselves. They were told that their mother had just passed through. The two were eager to leave, however, before they left their, mothers friend and old leader, SunsetStar, renamed the two Honey and Ocean. Ocean was honoured to be renamed after the old deceased traveler, who helped her mother start her adventures. They left in the same direction as their mother. ☼

☼"I'm tired!" Ocean exclaimed behind her sister. "We've been walking for hours! Can't we take a break?"

Honey looked back at her sister who has now sat down, she smiled, "Yeah maybe a little break wouldn't hurt." They have passed a few prides but none knew their mother and they were starting to feel hopeless. Suddenly their ears caught the sound of water. Walking passed some trees the two comes across a river, Ocean walked to the edge of the river to have a drink, Honey following after. Lapping at the water Honey noted that it tasted oddly fresh, no hint of fish or even a plant-like aftertaste.

"Hello..." a soft yet deep voice was heard behind her. Swirling around Ocean jumped in front of her sister ready to fight. Honey's eyes met the starry blue glow that stared back at them. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." the lion said. Honey was not gonna lei if she said she was confused, in front of her stood the form of a lioness, yet the voice and aura was that of a male. "Who are you?" she asked with a questionable look. The lion looked at her with a blank expression, "I am Castiel. I'm an angel of the Lord."

"A what?" Ocean couldn't help but ask. "Never mind...and you are"

"Oh I'm Honey and this is my sister, Ocean, it's nice to meet you," Honey responded, it couldn't hurt to be friendly. Castiel stays quiet after that, leaving them in silence. "Are you travelers?" Castiel's voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts. "Why do you want to know?" Ocean stood her ground, "Ocean! Don;t be rude." Honey chopped in. Honey then on explaining that they were looking for their mother. Castiel had an almost apologetic look on their face, saying that they have not seen their mother. Another silent moment. "If you young ladies would like, you may stay with me, I mean, my pride. You two seem like you could use some rest, and food." Feeling a strange warmth at what Castiel said Honey agreed and nudged her sister as they walked alongside Castiel to their pride.

When they entered the pride Ocean was instantly greeted by Meg. She had a darker aura about her but still kind. Spotting Castiel she went up to them and they rubbed their heads against one another, "Clarence darling, who is this little thing" Her voice was soft yet held power in them. Castiel turned to Ocean then back at Meg, "This is Ocean, Ocean this is my Queen Meg. She will answer any of your questions." With that Castiel left the two lionesses. "If I may..." Meg guiding Ocean, leading her away from her sister. But Ocean luckily saw that another lioness has their eye on Honey. Meg was leading Ocean into an empty cave. Ocean looked around, the cave was filled with all sorts of trinkets and even weapons. "Being a traveling lioness can be dangerous, this will keep you safe." Meg turned to Ocean.

Meg rummaged through some stuff when she suddenly yanked out a pile of feathers. She walked closer to Ocean placing the feather behind her ear, "A singular blessing of protection entrusted by Castiel. These feathers are sharpened at the tip like a knife , so whenever you are in danger just pull one out and show them who's boss. And I think they suit you wonderfully."

Ocean only blushed and gave Meg a shy smile.

That evening Honey and her Ocean were reunited and went to eat with the others, Castiel came bye and sat next to Meg and shared a meal with her. Watching them closely Ocean was the one that first spoke, "Castiel?" Ocean asked softly. The lion turned towards her, "Yes Ocean?" Castiel responded. Taking a deep breath, looking at her sister for reassurance Ocean asked, "What are you, gender wise?" Castiel seemed to be thinking at that question but responded, "I...don't have one. But if it would make you feel comfortable to refer me to a specific gender then I wouldn't mind." Honey and Ocean actually understood what Castiel meant and nodded their heads.

"You two are quite special you know that?" Castiel's said as they looked down at their paws. "What do you mean?" Honey asked tilting her head. Castiel looked up at them both, "Not only do you have an amazing bond, the both of you hold something more...powerful inside of you." The other lionesses started to smile and complement the young travelers on their fortune.

Later that night the two were snuggled against each other, their body heat keeping each other warm.

That was until she had to leave. Honey and Ocean stood at the edge of the pride, Castiel by their side, "I wish you two good luck on your journey, and please keep in touch. I would love to hear how you two are doing on your travels." Honey rested her head on Castiel's shoulder. Castiel returned the gesture by placing their wing around her, sneaking the other to wrap around Ocean. She stiffened but started to rest into the warm touch. Honey could only smile, "I promise."☼

☼While stopping for some fresh water Ocean noticed a strange sight. She saw a blueish lioness swimming with a baby crocodile. Ocean, really confused decides not to interact with them and rather leave. However, when she turned around all she saw was the smirk on her sister, Honey's face.
"Don't even think about it! Just because we lucked out last time doesn't mean we have to go looking for any kind of trouble. Besides that lioness is swimming with a baby croc... a croc who probably has a mother not far away keeping an eye on it!" Ocean tried to stop her sister from drawing attention to them.
"Stop being so paranoid!" Honey replies. Before Ocean could stop her honey sprints towards the lioness.

Not wanting to be spotted in case this is a dangerous pride not welcoming to strangers Ocean hides behind a wild berry bush. She keeps her eyes on her sister who is now practically dancing around this strange lioness. Ocean snorts thinking that her sister is too careless. "Can I help you?" Ocean freezes not even wanting to breathe. "I asked you a question stranger!" The lioness behind her snarls. Ocean turns around to see an angry red lioness frowning baring her teeth. "I... uhhhh.. we aren't looking for trouble.... I was just ... ummm ... not sure..... if she would be welcoming... so... uhhhhh.. I waited..." "Waited to do what... ambush her" The lioness gestures to the blue lioness. "No... my sister Honey went to greet her and as a precaution I made sure to keep an eye..."

"Aidai that is enough, stop scaring our new friend." Ocean turns to see Honey, with a concerned look on her face and the blue lioness from earlier approach.
" I was just making sure that she is not an intruder that wants to cause our pride any harm Afon." Afon, the blue lioness sighs. "Thank you Aidai, but these two are travellers who are looking for their mother! I think Kaster would not mind letting them stay for a bit" Afon now stands tall almost as if she is challenging Aidai. Aidai huffs and walks away.
"Forgive Aidai, she has been in some sort of mood ever since our king Kaster chose me as his queen. Come follow me and I will take you to him!" Ocean nods while Honey is already trotting after Afon. They reach a cave and a lion walks out looking worried.

"My love, who are these young ones?" The lion asks. Ocean then remembers that Afon said that she is to be the new queen and she bows her head to the king. " They are two travellers looking for their mother. I was kinda hoping that they are welcome to stay here for a bit while they search for some clues!" Kaster smiles " Alright, I am Knight Kaster the king of this territory! Please just call me Kaster. You are welcome to stay here and explore my land for any clues of evidence of your mother" "Thank you Kaster, me and my sister Ocean appreciates your kindness " Honey says before she bows. Kaster bowing his head slightly at Honey and then looks at Ocean. "You also don't have to keep bowing for that long kid, really I am still young myself and don't really care for the formal stuff yet." Ocean looks at him and gets up. She smiles and looks at Honey who has already started talking to the hunting party who came home with a Kudu carcass.

The two sisters spent their time listening to stories, watching hunts and walking with Afon and Kaster while they did their patrols. They even spent time with the male versions of themselves Calen and Warthford. They each got a gift from Afon saying thet they would need to remember their time in this territory. Ocean got a Nebula pendant and Honey recieved an Easter garland. After a few days they gathered all the evidence they got and moved on to the next territory. ☼

☼ After a few days Ocean and Honey stumbled upon a large tree the two decided they would stop and get some rest before continuing. Ocean quickly heard rustling from a near by bush she flicked her tail to get honey's attention before trying to figure out what the source of the noise was. Before either Honey or Ocean could react a gentle looking green lioness emerged a fawn and a few cubs with her. The lioness noticed the two and became protective of her followers. "who are you" The lioness puffs up trying to appear larger then she is "Hi, im honey and this is my sister Ocean we mean no harm we are just looking for our mom." After hearing the cause of the visit the lioness calmed down quite a bit "Well hello honey, Ocean Im moss im a broodmother for my pride so i was shocked to find you guys so deep within our pride, I'll have to have a talk with our males" she huffed out quickly. "Follow me and we can find a nice spot for you both to rest our pride is a bit of a mess at the moment we just got a new king so i apologize for the mess." Honey quickly followed Moss with ocean not far behind.

The group made it into the main area of the pride and what moss had said seemed to be true the place was a mess lionesses where all over the place getting the place together for the new king. Moss shooed the cubs into a den and continued leading the girls deeper into the pride. Honey was in awe at the bustle ocean not so much. After a bit the three managed to get threw to the king. "My king this is Honey and her sister Ocean they are travailing lionesses looking for their mother they were wondering if they could rest here for a bit." Honey spoke up "it would only be a few days." The king Number One Boy smiled at the two before saying "Hello girls im Number One Boy you can just call me Nob, i would love to have you stay if you can excuse the mess!" Both girls nodded before getting lead back out and to another den by moss.

There they met Cally who immediately started looking threw her things to find something to give to her new friends she decided to give Honey a Guernsey lilly to go along with all the flowers she already has and gave Ocean custom fit rabbit bone leg bracelets to protect her legs from bitey cubs.

The girls rested up for a few more days getting to know the other lions in the pride before setting back off on their journey with the promise of a safe resting spot when ever they needed. ☼

After a few days of walking, the girls come across a rather normal looking lion who appears to be muttering to himself. They'd had such good luck so far, so they decide to approach him, feeling confident they could at least out-run him if they'd judged him wrongly.

"Hello?" Honey says when they're finally within earshot. "I don't mean to bother you, but we're travelers and..."
"Travelers? I've gone my entire life without hearing about travelers and then BAM, this week alone it's all I'm hearing about."
Honey's ears pin and she casts a glance at her sister, who looks ready to leave, but the male continues with a sigh.
"Well, if you're travelers...let's go back to my pride and get you situated for the night. I'm Calum, by the way."
He begins walking away and, after a confirming look with her sister, the girls begin to follow him.

"So you're familiar with Travelers?" Ocean asks after a few minutes of awkward silence.
"Recently familiar," Calum admits, a hint of sadness in his voice. "One of my daughters just left us; said she felt the wind was calling her and she had to see what was out there."
Ocean offers him a sad smile. "I can see how that'd be scary for you."

They walk in mild silence until they come across a small clearing absolutely bustling with life. Broodmothers are grooming their cubs, teenage lionesses are sparring as grisled older females correct their posture and offer advice. In the middle of it all is a small watering hole with food nearby.

"This is our newly set up Traveler's respite," Calum explains, nodding towards the watering hole. "We have another Lioness with us currently so please be respectful. The cubs are...a handful and we have friendships of different levels with various creatures both earthly and ethereal so also...be respectful. If someone offers to leave with you and you don't want them to come along, just tell them so. It's better to be honest in the long run." And with that, he left the girls to settle in.

After a day of watching the goings-on with this pack, Honey is grooming herself after a large meal when she's approached by a small, red bird, likely drawn in by her flowers. She remembers that Calum's pride is strangely friendly with all animals, despite needing to feed so many mouths, and because she is more than full she barely bats an eyelash when it begins to play with her whiskers.

Ocean finds a rat trapped in the mud near the watering hole on their third day and pulls it out by the tail, setting it down to go free. It returns later that night and snuggles up to her and because she is also very full, she isn't bothered by it's outgoing nature. She can always eat it later if they get desperate. One of the broodmothers stops by the Respite with her group of cubs to drop off a necklace made of meerkat bones, which Ocean adds to her neck because it's more her style.

"We're still getting used to travelers so we don't have any special customs or customary gifts, but I hope you've had a restful time with us." She says shyly. "Even though Wanderlust wasn't from my loins, she is just as much my daughter as anyone else's here and I hope that by being kind to other travelers, we inspire the universe to be kind to her and bring her home to us eventually."

After quite some time Honey and Ocean made it to their next pride. They were ruled by a gracious primal king named Tundra. They shared their stories with the pride and even learned about the pridelands. The way it was able to flourish even through the times of drought. Only taking what they needed and giving back when they could. They made friends with quite a few of the oddball looking ones that had coat mutations and even a dwarf! Ocean was the one to explain how they were looking for their mom.

"Yeah! We are looking for our mom have you by chance seen her?" Honey piped up.

Tundra sadly shook his head. "No I am sorry, but I will keep an eye out. Should she pass through here I will send a bird to let you know where she heads next." The girls nodded and when it came time again they set off to continue their journey in search of their mom. As they were leaving Ocean looked over to see a fancy little mouse with a twin. The mice seemed to want to join them and so she picked it up and placed it on her head. Placing the other one on her sisters head. Tundra chuckled and bid them farewell. "They shall keep you company on your travels! Be safe and good luck!"
