CUB: Torque is currently being groomed as heir, though that could be changed at any moment. His mother is one of the next matriarchs of the pride, so if he becomes king, his will have further influence to make positive changes in the pride. Adol: Another male cub is allowed to grow into an adult in the pride. Torque worries He may be replaced as heir. Young adult: Although Torque thought his position was threatened, he now feels certain he is still being groomed to take over. 6 Years: A new cub is born. Although originally thought to be female, miraculously it turns out to be male. The King, ever aging, immediately seems interested in the cub. And as he grows, Torque must admit that he is a handsome cub, even as he worries over his position in the pride. His concerns are only reinforced when one of the other submales is sent to a nearby pride under the guise of helping their king. 8 years: that young cub was crowned king when it became clear that Minnowstorm was too old to fulfill his duties. That damned cub. He knew nothing of duty and had no skills that would make him a good leader. The only thing he had going for him was that he was handsome.
