BIRCH MEETS NIGHT WHEN KODA HAD JUST COME INTO THE WORLD
(A note: I think lionesses leave the pride when they give birth so that the cubs won't get hurt by other cubs, other lionesses or any males that could potentially be fighting. Just protecting them from life. Night doesn't do that, but c'mon, it's not like Lioden lions are normal. Night doesn't even look like a lion. Only the golden NCLs without markings do. So PLEASE, ignore the illogical, incorrect part of the text that I am about to write! ^^. Koda also opens her eyes wayyy to early but.... It just adds to the story. Okay have fun reading!!)
Birch rushed into the pride's empty camp, just getting back from patrolling, panting. Dark Forest had been right, Nightly Cheetah had just given birth! Everyone was gathered in the small, dark cave that was the medicine den. Birch rushed in.
"Woah, woah there, big guy!"
The pride's healer, Turtle's Claws was the one speaking, and was gently pushing Birch back out of the den, chuckling. All the other lions stood beside her, including her apprentice, Wicked Heart, and Night's friends were trying to look into the den where Night was. There were murmurs and purrs all around, the child of the King and the Queen had been born!
"Turtle! How is Night? Is she safe??"
"She's doing as good as anyone can. Her and the cub are in th- Birch's Wind, stop trying to get past me, your mate is tired"
Birch immediately stopped pushing her, but was still tapping his paw on the ground out of nervousness. "But when can I see her then? And did you say 'the cub', is it just one? Is it male or female? Is it breathing well??"
Turtle shook her head. "Hey, breathe, calm down, then you can see the cub. She's just come into the world, you can't barge in and lick her all over, she'll get some lifelong trauma of almost suffocating from your hugs, probably. Get your heartbeat down, then see your family."
Birch tried his best, and managed to breathe normally again. The old healer dipped her head, acknowledging that he'd finally calmed down and then nodded toward the cave.
The small cave was a bit dark, but Night's eyes were clear and glistening. "Birch! I wanted you to be the first one to see her... She's beautiful and completely healthy."
Birch gave her a lick on the head. Night purred and turned her head toward her belly. There was one cub, with her adorable eyes closed at Night's stomach. Her brown, cheetah-like pelt reminded of Nightly Cheetah's.
Suddenly the cub opened her eyes and looked right at her parents. Birch recognised the glint in the eye he had, the one he saw when he looked at himself in puddles.
"Oh... Do you see it, Night?" He said.
"She has your eyes. Same colour, but... not just that, they're πͺπ₯π¦π―π΅πͺπ€π’π in some weird way....."
"We'll raise her to be a strong, confident lioness. Our first-born."
"I've decided her name. She'll be named Koda." Nightly Cheetah declared."
Birch calmly sighed and touched Night's ear with his muzzle. "That suits her quite well."
Night purred yet again.
(( Yeh idk what to write next they just kinda raise her
KODA MEETS SOMEONE IN FEBRUARY
An odd, feverish feeling was hanging around in the air. All lions were being extra flirty toward each other, and the atmosphere felt like it was gonna burst with all the loving words and nuzzles.
All lions were feeling wonderfully amorous but one.
Koda had never felt like she understood what all the excitement in february was about. Usually, she was a good friend, cuddly and happy. But in february, she was... like the opposite of herself. Whenever she saw the lions flirting and giggling, she would look away, often snarl at them to get a cave. The tail-twisting, the mane shaking, the blushing, it all made her want to puke. Or at least that's what she wanted everyone to think.
Deep, deep down under that armour she had made for herself, she felt alone, and jealous. Why did everyone else get their happily ever afters? Why was everyone else so confident? Why could they just walk up to someone and they'd practically be grooming each other's furs already? Why did no one ever look her way?
So to cope, she pretended like she didn't care.
