Anele means ‘the last born’. She is Mruki II’s final cub, born after his death. She is also Kuishi’s last, born in her mother’s final litter before old age made it unsafe for her to carry anymore cubs. She’s a little bit strange, an antisocial and highly analytical girl. She’s a fast learner, but overly competitive.
Anele, as Kuishi’s last cub, is destined to take her place as the healer and shaman of the Kalahari Pride. As a cub, Anele hated the idea, and was relieved when Princess Zora asked to be Kuishi’s apprentice. Unfortunately, Zora, while kind, proved unsuitable for the position. Considering Kuishi’s advanced age, Anele agreed to serve as healer until another could be found. Her mother had already completed her training, and with her cold intellect, Anele is efficient to a fault. Her plan is to simply fill in until her mother finds another apprentice, and possibly help with their training. The only problem is…she’s really good at her mother’s job. 😂
Anele is a healer all her life, she thrives under stress, and is fiercely intelligent. She is a darker, more serious Shaman than her mother, often walking the line of out and out witchcraft. She becomes obsessed with fortune telling, and is the one who gives Regandi the prophecy regarding his eventual heir. Some say it’s what spurred him to take over the Hidden Valley Pride.
Anele has her cubs squarely in the middle of her life, when she’s got a lot of experience to pull from, but also still has the energy to chase after the little buggers when they misbehave. All her cubs are taught the basics of herbology, but she does heavily favor her daughter Nyofu, and wants her to succeed her as an adult. Nyofu doesn’t thrive under pressure, like her mother, and eventually leaves to chart her own course. Anele apologizes before she leaves, and mother and daughter part on good terms.
Anele finds the heir she seeks two litters later, when her daughter Ebele is born. Ebele is clever and curious, and reminds Anele very much of her own mother, Kuishi. Ebele flies through her training and Anele has never been more proud. She enters her retirement years with a sigh of relief, knowing her daughter is more than capable of taking care of their pride.

~Anele appears to be in complete zoomie-mode. You chew on a bone and have fun watching them randomly run from one bush to another, their eyes huge.
~Anele looks at you in silence, whacking her tail on the ground repetitively. 5x
~Anele glares at you as you approach, but she does not swat you as you groom her head. Instead, she perches elegantly, making it clear that you can only do this because she is allowing it. 2x
~You were going to ask Anele to join you for a meal, but her icy stare stopped you in your tracks. How lovely.
~Lying on the ground with a displeased grimace, Anele notices you and turns her head, watching the horizon now. 2x
