"I take my whiskey neat,
My coffee black in my bed at three
You’re too sweet for me,
You’re too sweet for me"

When Mwanaadamu was born, Milele, his mother, and Bekele, his grandfather, were quite surprised. This cub felt... different, from the rest. All of the rest of the leopons in his line were heavenly, godly, even. But this cub... he just... wasn't. And so, he was named accordingly. Milele named him 'Mwanaadamu' of which means 'mortal'. Not a great title to have as soon as you're born. As she was for Milele's birth, Greg was there for Mwanaadamu's as well. Greg sensed something was wrong with her great-gregling, but didn't mention it as he looked to be a normal leopon. Bekele acted oddly at his birth, as well. At Milele's birth, he could barely contain his excitement. However, Milele was his daughter, so of course he'd be excited. But... shouldn't he be excited for his grandson's birth, too? Yet, he wasn't. He was stone-faced, his paws shuffling nervously and his tail twitching anxiously. Was something wrong with him? Mwanaadamu suckled normally and played with his siblings fine, and when he opened his eyes he acted like any other cub, except for the fact that he was smaller than them, which was normal for leopons. But, he was just... smaller.
As Mwanaadamu grew, it was evident he was also weaker than most cubs his age. He acted similarly to Okeanus, his great-grandfather. With his tiny size and weak body, he was nicknamed 'Dhaifu' meaning 'weak'. Also not a great name. Mwanaadamu had an affinity for... flowers. Not quite herbs, but close. He mainly wandered around the territory with a wide grin on his face, watching the grass move and listen to the breeze whistle, picking flowers all the while, making a small grove for himself in a clearing in the nearby forest. With his visits to his birth pride becoming less and less frequent, the lions he did often see, like his mother and Greg, gave him a new nickname, Mtembezi, meaning 'wanderer'.
Eventually, Mwanaadamu found himself on his biological father’s territory. It was clear that the pon shared blood with the great queen, Ophiachus. Her children all had similar pelt colors and markings. As such, Phi offered her son a place in her pride. Mwanaadamu accepted, feeling excited to get to know his father and her pride. He eventually decided to use the nickname Mtembezi as his true name, feeling as though it was a far more fitting name for him. Of course the leopon still wonders from time to time, and still visits his family and birth pride, but he finds himself staying in Phi’s pride more often than not.
