Marigold is the daughter of Iris and King Tarkus. After living in the pride for many years, Iris finally had her first cub, and when she was born the entire pride was surprised and thrilled to see the young cub covered in red rosettes. The uniquely patterned cub quickly grew up to be a kind, although wary adolescent. She grew up along side the slightly younger Saphyr, future king of the pride, and the two quickly became very close.
