Lady Larkspur

You who bears all your teeth in every smile.
For a royal courtier, Larkspur is surprisingly good-natured and down-to-earth. Just one flash of that dazzling grin can put the prickliest stranger at ease. She's a surprisingly proficient hunter, to the level that some lions remark she should have tried out for Auxiliary. Larkspur brushes these compliments off; she could never put her gentle mother, Ichor, through the stress of having her daughter in danger.

Larkspur can usually be found in the great beachers underlying the Citadel, where she likes to explore with her cousin, Tanka. Tanka loves the life of a nobility, while Larkspur finds it a little tiresome. She teases him relentlessly about his airs and graces, but he takes it in good spirits.

When she's out of sight of the royal Auxiliaries, Larkspur often sneaks down to the Metropolis to interact with the lions there. It is here that she forged a relationship with Imoinda, the talented lioness who paints the Agora. Larkspur is fascinated with the beautiful young lioness, and Imoinda enjoys patiently teaching the sheltered young noble about her craft. Under the secluded mangrove trees, the two of them have very quietly found themselves falling in love.

Larkspur and her sister, Delphinium represent a new generation of lions in the Citadel; lions who are not related to the pride leader but still enjoy a life of nobility.
