Moshi

[NOTE; obviously, none of the lore i come up with is what actually happened LMFAO most of this is breeding mishaps, a couple were trades. this is all for fun!!]

❀ Moshi's mother, Soma, was in a strictly political marriage, betrothed since she was a newborn. Every facet of her life was chosen for her- who her mate would be, how many cubs she would have, what kingdoms she was supposed to ally with, what kingdoms she was supposed to hate, how she'd talk, how she'd walk... It was all so, so excruciating. It didn't help that her mate was a bore, never having much to say aside from politics. Everything revolved around politics. The son she gave him was born for politics. She would express her frustrations to her mate's brother, who surprisingly validated her feelings, made her feel seen, made her feel like a lioness rather than a queen. They talk into the dusk, learning things they didn't even know about themselves, expressing guilt and a longing for a better life, and it's only then do they catch a glimpse of how beautiful each other truly were. That night, Moshi was conceived.

✿ Her mate finds out, of course. It's the most emotion she's seen from him in her life- how he continuously goes on about how she's a harlot, a disgrace, a waste of air... When Soma apathetically asks if he's done, she's stripped from her royal title and banished from her pride. Eventually, she runs into Luam, falls in love with him, and gives birth to Moshi in his pride. In spite of looking nothing like her, Luam immediately accepts Moshi as his adopted daughter.

❀ Her mother adores her, she does, but in the way that she loves herself- and her mother is nothing like her. So while Moshi loves and appreciates her mother, she's far closer with her adoptive father, always quick to shoot him a compliment and make a fool of herself with him, as if she were a cub again. Initially, he proposed to make Moshi his heir, though she politely declined, much preferring the thrills of patrolling over the pressures of ruling an entire pride. While it's hard to voice it, Soma was so, so proud of this choice, and cherished her daughter until her death.

✿ Moshi currently mothers a single daughter, Ardhi, and the pair are sweeter than pollen- nothing but pure adorance on both ends. Now, there *is* a bit of a boundary problem- with Ardhi being the more relaxed one out of the pair, she can get overwhelmed with the overpowering affection and love, and often has to remind her mother to restrain herself. They're working on it, though!
