His mother was very confused as to what could have occurred for this to happen to her one and only cub, but she loved him regardless. Maybe his eyes would grow in? She didn't know but stayed hopeful that he would live a healthy life. It was easy for him at first, when all cubs are born they are blind for a while anyways. But after a few weeks his mother got sad. He would never see her... she would never watch him open his eyes for the first time...
