Signs of a great battle waged not too long ago and not so far away. Burned corpses of lions littering the field, and in the middle of it all a small pile of ash from which a newborn cub emerged. Phoenix was the name Andromeda gave to this cub, and from the moment she saw it, she knew she'd train it to take over the pride after her. An heir Andromeda would keep secret from everyone, sensing the power within the cub. She trained it away from the pride as much as she could, an explanation for her frequent absence from the territory. Phoenix saw Andromeda as not only a mentor but a mother, someone she looked up to and admired. Things fell apart when she was a teen, however. Attacked by a group of savage lions, Andromeda did her best to protect Phoenix. Panicked, the adolescent lost control of her powers, making the area around her burn with terrible might of her flames. When the smoke cleared, the savage lions were dead, and so was Andromeda. It would be weeks before Andromeda's Queen, Cassiopeia found Phoenix and brought her back to the pride, alerted by the pride's Oracle to seek out the teenager who'd become the next King. ----------------------------------------------------- You see svelte girl froze in place after they threw a rotten egg in the direction of another cub. It seems like they ended up hitting Grandpaw Andromeda, The Chained Maiden right on the head instead. He lets out an exaggeratedly-annoyed growl as the gross, smelly yolk drips down his mane and muzzle. svelte girl prepares to be smacked, but instead gets some of the yolk smudged all over their face! Grandpaw Andromeda, The Chained Maiden laughs at the cub's reaction and pats them gently on the back before ushering them to a nearby body of water to get cleaned off.
