Taipan's Den

Though most territories are dry, being located on plains or sandy dunes, this pride takes it to a whole new level.
An unconventional group, the pride resides within a perpetually burnt part of the savannah, small fires being the most common cause of death among their cubs. Catching a glimpse of a lion without burn marks is rarer than catching one covered in them. They aren’t the nicest bunch either, driving out those who don’t grant promising cubs.
Taipan is the odd leader of the pride, not born to their previous king, Skink, nobody is too sure of how they got to the position, but they’re not about to question it. Taipan has never been aggressive, not outwardly at least, but they have an odd way of simply popping up, striking up bargains that more often than not leave the other empty-pawed. A smooth speaker and skilled liar, Taipan is always confident fortune will be on their side, especially with their new friend, who seems all too eager to do anything Taipan requests of him.
