The dry seasons are barren, and so are most territories during those times. Thankfully these marsh-dwelling lions are not so unfortunate; carefree and laidback, this pride is more than happy to entertain visitors and even share meals with them. Their main source of food are the fish and snakes that are in the shallow waters and reeds of their territory, but it’s not uncommon to find antelope and gazelle wading about.
Vern is the head of the pride, a rather loud and blunt figure, but a beloved one. He’s shown to be quite kindhearted and caring, no matter how brash he seems at first. He’s always willing to listen to others problems, and be a shoulder to cry on if needed. Thought more often than not, the pride healer is left in charge, much to her distain.
Vern is often on excursions to hang out with his best buddy., they come from two very different prides with very different views, but they get along just great, and Vern doesn’t understand why lions seem to dislike his friend.
