Hi! Fairly new here and immensely enjoying myself. Fair warning, Lioden thinks I’m eternally online for some reason which is hilarious but no, I’m not always on. Just mostly always on. Lol. If you send me a message or try to ping me in chat or something and I don’t respond, it’s not that I’m ignoring you, it’s that I’m not actually online whatever Lioden thinks

(Adfhkjgds I am legit writing my king going through the event stories on google docs I have a problem help)

This is a land under the rule of Haoma (pronounced “Hay-oma”), a young lion with an average-sized pride. It’s a temperate savanna with plentiful prey, one that borders a mountain range on one side from which flows a river that splits the land in half. A perfect place for lions to thrive. But that is not the only thing these lands hold.

The “staples” between worlds that hold them together, world-binders (binders for short) are individuals who switch between worlds when they sleep, binding them together with their very existence. They don’t dream but do fall into an actual sleep before waking up in their connected world fully rested physically and mentally, a night having passed while they slept.

Naps/being knocked unconscious count, they’ll wake up in the middle of the night in the other world and need to fall back asleep to wake up in the one they passed out in.

Heaven and Hell are entirely separate realms from the worlds, there’s no need for staples. Instead they punch holes between them and whatever world they’re going to via portals. The same applies for when they want to travel from world to world - which is actually what brought the world-binders into existence as the worlds themselves reacted in order to combat the hole punching going on willy-nilly from breaking reality apart. Thanks, angels and demons. Really considerate of you :/

It’s impossible for binders to have insomnia; if they had it before they became binders they certainly don’t now.

People aren’t born binders. There’s two per world: the native going into another and the transmigrator coming into this one. When the native binder dies a new person is selected at random to take their place. There is an upper and lower age limit to the selection: new binders must be between the ages of 12-60 (or the equivalent thereof). A binder can outlive this upper limit with no problems or consequences but they must be within this age range to qualify for selection as a new binder.

When a new binder is selected with the passing of the old they are transmigrated into the body of a stillborn infant just born in their new world and grow up from there.

Binders grow at the normal rate of their world until they hit adulthood, but still live the same length of time of whichever world has the longer lifespan. The Lioden to Wolvden binder wouldn’t be affected, but the Earth to Lioden binder grows up normally but remains in their prime a LOT longer in Lioden before reaching old age (which again, lasts significantly longer due to the difference between human and lion aging). So would the Wolvden binder, as their connected world’s inhabitants have a much greater lifespan than that of a wolf. This can and has been rather awkward as a result depending on the world.

If the native binder is already dead in one world when they die in their other then they’re dead. If not, they remain as their other self in whatever world they’re still alive in for the remainder of their life. Either way they are no longer a binder and a new one is selected to replace them.

Binders don’t move worlds; the order of native and transmigrator remain the same no matter what. For example, the Earth binder will always transmigrate into Lioden, and the Lioden binder will always transmigrate into Wolvden.

For the sake of everyone’s sanity any binder that changes species from humanoid to animal (or vice versa) getting someone pregnant goes through the same motions/animations as doing so in Sims Animals Africa. A hug/nuzzle, some magic mist, and boom, pregnancy.
