If someone abandons their account, what happens to the lionesses?

Currently, they just die, slowly starving, or they run away, never to be seen again.

I want to put a stop to the dying lionesses and lions.

Maybe, if a players account is inactive for more than 2 weeks, one of the mods goes onto the account and distributes the lionesses and lions to the newer players, adding support to the game, and making the useless, sim murder stop.

Again, if no one supports, I understand.

This suggestion has 11 supports and 289 NO supports.

actually they don't. if someone leaves an account it's frozen, so it's still there for when they chose to come back.

I was recently inactive for over 2 weeks, did I abandon the game? no I was on holiday.

this is such a stupid idea I'd be extremely angry if I left the game for a little bit and lost all my hard earned lionesses to some newbs who couldn't be bothered to play the game themselves.

Rediculous , without an actual vacation mode option, not logging in is the only way to keep your lionesses if you get too busy to play.

I think it would be neat if there was a button where, if ou think you are quiting you can hit it. The button could start a new system: There is a page where there is something like a giant bank, all of the GB/SB/Lioness/Food/Toys/Misc would go there and people can take some of it.

Each player could be limited to the amount you can get, of course. It could be like X amount a day, or X percent of it. Therefore there wouldnt be one player taking the entire pot, and would keep thing fair.

This page could go on the explore page like the others, or have its own tab. And then the GB/SB and Items wouldnt go to waste either.

And the major benifit to this: Loike the people above said, if you left for vacation, or just couldnt get on for a bit, all would not be lost. You would still have a chance to come back, and not lose everything. If you really decided to quit you can just click the button and be done.

Definitely don't support - the whole point is that if you need to take a break from the game for whatever reason, you can log back in after days/weeks/months and know your lions are going to be just as you left them.

Losing all your hard work because you were not able to play for a while would make the game completely pointless imho.

No support. It'd be better to have the option to actually delete your account instead.

No support, for many reasons already stated above me. Just because someone leaves the game for a few weeks does not mean they abandon the game.

When you don't log in, your lions don't age or get hungry.

No support to this idea. But I agree something should be done with all the inactive accounts.

There's nothing wrong with having inactive accounts. The lions don't suffer as long as you don't log in, and you shouldn't log in if you know you're too busy to play in the first place (at least, if your lions are already on the brink of starvation).

No support. Someone who's been away for personal reasons, or on vacation, should not have to come back and find that the mods have given all their lions away.

No support. That would ruin a lot of people, as in accounts that have a great deal of hybrids- Usually they send those to an alt account to freeze. Getting rid of the ability to freeze would be very difficult, think of all the hard earned lions you'd lose.

I agree with Veloz [BOOM] (#17905), if it was a thing when you delete your account it would be fine, after all, it would be good to not just throw away any good lion or items the leaving person may have. Maybe even have them in a place like the Giving Tree, maybe the three itself.

However, not only you are wrong, the lions stay frozen while you are away untill you do a rollover, otherwise I would have lost all my lions and beetles when I took a years long break from the game, two weaks is way too little to loose your account over, especially for people that have a busy life or want ot take a break like I did now and then in the past.

NO SUPPORT!!!!!!!!

Some people might have to go away on vacation for a while. Some people might get super busy. Some people might be having family problems. Some people might want a break. And, some people might have personal problems. I would hate to be away from Lioden for a month because I'm struggling with s--f h--m and then log back in only to see all my progress gone because I was trying not to k--l myself.

Obviously no support for the reasons listed above.
It is also not uncommon for users to 'freeze' their side accounts to prevent lions from aging so it would be horribly unfair for them to roll over, only for all their lions to be gone.

Katze has also mention before that inactive accounts will never be deleted or touched:
"Accounts never get deleted, even if they've been inactive for a very long time. The only thing that gets touched on an inactive account is the king's name. King names are reset after exactly one year of inactivity, provided the player hasn't rolled over at all within that year."

posted in 2020 but i just wanna speak up-

I agree with all previous reasons against this and I want to add my own.

First off:
Lions don't run/starve/loose mood when an account is left, either frozen, taken a hiatus, having a break or never to be used again. Everything on the account stays frozen, no food rots, no lions go hungry etc.

Next:
It wouldn't be fair for after 2 weeks of inactivity for an account's things to be basically robbed. They could be away for any reason. It just doesn't seem right to me to have a mod enter someone's account and take their hard-earned things.

Finally:
The belongings. You said 'and distributes the lionesses and lions to the newer players'. This will give newbies an unfair advantage to the game. There also could be older players that are inexperienced and have the same worth things as newbies. New players have to earn their items like older players.

Overall, it's a no support from me.

^ Sage summed it up for me (and Ember)

Basically, that doesn't happen - they don't die or run. This only happens when you neglect them enough on rollovers that you log in, which is again, very different from being inactive. Even if that was the case, you can reclaim them yourself for a fee of 200sb, and chased lionesses often can still be reclaimed by other players.

Second, there are a lot of reasons people may want to go on hiatus - it could even be something like they had to remain in hospital for a while or they're under exam stress or whatnot, and 2 weeks just doesn't allow for that. It's kind of a luxury here that you can go away for however long you want and your pride will still be there when you return. To take that away or even put such a short time limit on it would add a massive stress factor to the game.

Third, in a sense, this would mean mods hack you after a short hiatus and everything would be gone to players who might not even fully understand their new items etc. Often times, when people fully decide they don't want to play the game anymore, they will often raffle out/sell/tree their items and players from all different levels in the game will be able to make grabs at what they want. This usually breaks the game less as who's to say the new players wouldn't also go inactive as newbies may just be trying it out to see if they like lioden - that's another reason, as mostly those who come only to go inactive are often the people who decided lioden wasn't for them and that would likely just break the game. It's also nice to know that you can come back and retry lioden whenever you feel like it and you'll still have your foundation if this is the case for you (like it was for me at the start)

Last but not least, as Sage mentioned above this would take away a lot of challenge to the game, and usually a game is usually only fun if there's an element of challenge. Arguably, there's not much challenge of getting something from the giving tree or trading centre, but the giving tree has rules to help negate that - you can only take something once an hour, you don't know what's going to show up, and others may make a quicker grab for it. Even raffles are won off chance and you still have to pay/trade for things in the TC
