I want to first say I love the nose idea, but the bright red looks quite silly to me. Some noses take away from the beauty of the lionesses we have breed, either just making them look like clowns, or drawing the attention away from the pelt. So I propose a change. I propose that we continue to have the current noses, but we also have duller options. Now, I understand that a lot of people like the current nose options, and I agree! The bright pink looks fabulous on albinos and maroons, the black looks great on the darker colored lions, the white looks good on light creams and whites, and the burnt nose looks good on prunes and all the fireys. Duller options would also look good on lions too. A dull pink would look wonderful on sundusts and a dull reddish-brown would look great on rosey-browns. Now, while I suggest this the day the nose colors appeared, I do not want the duller options soon. Oh no. The coders, especially Xylax worked their tails off to code this in, and if we get duller options within the next two months, I will find the coders and slap them- they deserve a break! This is something I would want to happen by the END of 2015. Nose opacity changer- available for the same amount (or cheaper) in the monkey shop and oasis. Allows you to change the brightness of the nose. - Suggested by Thutula (thanks for letting me use this!) |

@Thutula I think that would be really hard to code in. Would the opacities be inherited? Just seems like a hassle to me. Maybe I'd support something that suggested to where you can disable the new nose types for those who don't want to see them or like the original layout. ![]() |

Thank you guys! Yes, Silver you may place it in your original post. ^_^ PlaguedRuby [Side] (#24652) It maybe a challenge, but it wouldn't be impossible to have it placed in. I don't think the opacities should be inherited, but rather be a gamble just like the markings. ![]() Edited on 22/08/14 by Thutula [NHF/MARS/MP] (#23473) |

What if we had another nose option that would let users go back to the old nose color? Like, the default one that was present in every lion before this change? Not sure what the color of that would be named...but that would be a relatively easy one to do since we already had it xD ![]() |

I wouldn't midn if the noses were dulled down. Even chanigng mine's nose to a darker color [from red to dark brown] it still stands out so much, it's all i see first when I go to my lion's page. ![]() |

I'd prefer those noses to be duller. They're quite ugly on many lions. ![]() |

I thik just the red and pink noses should have a duller shade [Light Pink and Light Red] for use on the NCLs, they look quite odd on goldens/roseys/fawns with the bright pink and bright brick red. However, the original ones should stay as options and also as default for albinos and darker colors, where they fit much better. With how easy it is to change nose color though, I don't think any new shades should be retroactive. ![]() Edited on 22/08/14 by Griff (#26694) |

The idea of a Default nose color seems realy nice to me. How hard it is to just add another variety that's an empty picture that will say Default nose and show the lineart's default nose, without covering it with something else? I think that would help many people who dont like the very bright and stand-out colors of the new noses. I like the new noses, I just dont like that none of them blend well with my main male. X_X I was so happy to get him, but now I cant look at him without noticing his bright nose.(( Black is too dark, tan is too bright, and there arent yet colors in between those two. ![]() Edited on 22/08/14 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

I'd like if the original Dark Pink nose was available, too. And gray would be lovely and natural because maltese/blue colored cats have gray noses. ![]() |

No real need but sure,if you want to. I saw the default nose idea was accepted in a thread about it, by Xy and I made a thread in art suggestions for the gray nose :D ![]() |
