UPDATE on page 4.So.. It all started on a silly idea for a picture. That spiraled out of control, in a good way. xD Meet.. Medium Rare.  Several people suggested I create a decor based on my picture to commemorate the cow fiasco, and so I am in the process and nearly complete. Here, I humbly ask you a few simple questions: -Are you interested in the cow? -Other than things like shadows and lack of colour (I want it to be a surprise! :P ), does everything look fairly nice for a silly decor? -Would you personally buy this silly cow? If so, what would you pay for it? -Do you like cows? (I love them! ;^; ) -Other opinions? It's going to be available on all lions, including mane types (which is why it's taking so long! D: ) I'm pretty much just gauging interest. Because it's a silly decor I'm not planning on pricing it incredibly high, and i'm going to offer many different payment options for those interested. I'd still love any and all opinions though. ^^ Oh, by the way. Everyone who posts their thoughtful opinions here on the cow will be put down on a list and entered into a raffle to earn one for free. UPDATEDecor was rejected, on the grounds that the intentionally large and bulky cow was too bulky and large, and it's eyes looked like "anime".  Sorry, guys. I'm trying to earn enough money to buy back my lions that ran off during my busy week, so i'm busy with emergency commissions for now. When i'm finished I might try to fix the "issue", however i'm really losing hope in my ability to get anything submitted anymore. Apparently my original style of art is crap and became anime when I wasn't looking. e_e This thread will be kept until I decide whether to attempt the cow decor again. I'll keep the interest list up for all those who posted. Once again, sorry to let you guys down. :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oh man, how did this get rejected?!?? Perhaps you could try resizing the cow a bit; make him a bit smaller? He seems fine to me, though I would like to see a slightly smaller version of him as well. For cubs and adols, maybe you could have him as a clumsy little calf, so he grows up progressively with the lion he is assigned to, and maybe for lionesses he could be licking her ear or standing behind her, so as to not block her out? I don't see how the rejection is justified at all, though. This is some of the best quality custom decor that I've seen, and I've looked through quite a lot of decor! I truly can't believe this got rejected, as some of the custom decors I've seen could be considered mediocre quality compared to your art! The eyes don't look too anime-ish, they're detailed and nicely done to me. The bulk of the cow isn't too overdone, either. You should see some of the custom decors submitted, there are a few sloppy ones there that I'd think were less worthy of acceptance than your decor, which also seem a bit over the top! >:U I admit, even though the present size is fine with me, I would also like to see a slightly smaller size as well. Maybe then it'll get accepted? I really would like to see this become a decor, especially with all the hard work you put into it! The styles between the art even blend quite well, in my opinion. The anatomy, shading, furring, everything looks high quality and professional, though there's one thing that bugs me about the hooves for some reason, not sure what, perhaps the size/proportions, though it may just be me, haha. -Would you personally buy this silly cow? If so, what would you pay for it? Yes, definitely, if I could afford it! I love your art! I'm not the best at pricing, ahah, and I'm not up to date with market prices yet, but I personally think it could be valued at, say, 3-5 GB? I hope that's not too low! ; o ; -Do you like cows? (I love them! ;^; ) I've never really been up to them close, but as long as they have a decent personality and [ aren't inclined to kick me] I think I'd like to meet one or two! It seems there's a bit more to them than meets the eye, from what I've read. They seem to be quite intelligent and have quirky personalities in themselves, despite what people say of them being mindless, clunky beasts of burden. -Other opinions?
