-LOCKED - November Event | |
Posted on 2014-11-03 01:33:46
November EventThis month, a bunch of nomadic lion shamans arrived from far away lands to provide their services and trade herbs. Not only humans believe that ancestors are linked spiritually to the living. Some lions believe they can talk to the spirits of those who passed, becoming shamans. You can gain your Piety for Ancestors by doing deeds for lion shamans, and in return you will be granted spiritual rewards. Your Piety might unlock something special, so respect the spirits and they will provide. Alongside, you can gather a lot of herbs in Explore you don’t need for quests and visit shamans to exchange those into sacred beetles and trade those for various things. Visit the Shamans Here you can pay a visit to three shamans. Each is a bit different and will provide quests for you, daily. You can fulfil up to 3 deeds daily for them, and in return, gain piety. The Ancestors of lions who passed will reward lions who live and show piousness. You can exchange Piety points for mind & body enhancements. We believe the rewards will make all players happy, no matter what part of lion's body they strive to make better. Visit the Shop In the shop you can trade in herbs you find and are useless to you for time being. You will receive Scarab Beetles (SCB) in return and will be able to trade for fancy items from the shop. The more Tiers you unlock in bar, the more fun stuff will appear! Piety Bar Piety bar counts total piety gained in Lioden lands. It unlocks tiers that provide lions with awesome stuff for the shop and the Shaman Pit. Shaman Pit This mysterious pit is being prepared by shamans. The more piety lions show, the better the ritual's effect will become! Explore During exploring, you might notice herbs to collect or encounters to interact with. Some are specific for quests, but won't do much if you're not on that particular quest. If you meet a Tsavo lion and defeat it, nothing besides a battle will happen. If you're on a quest to defeat a Tsavo Lion, though, and you win, the Quest will be fulfilled and you can return to the Shamans to complete the deed. You might have noticed you can turn your food into rawhide again - it is required for some quests. We strongly believe this time around, trading among players will rise to exchange herbs needed for quests - remember to advertise in proper places like Sales Chat and stockpile forum only. Please do not advertise in your names or Main/RP chat. Enjoy yourselves, lions, connect with ancestors and enjoy the truly tribal feeling of this month's event! 0 players like this post! Like? I'm really enjoying this even so far, however, I've been stuck on the same quest for more that two days now - the one where you have to get a stick of fire. When the event started, before I had this particular mission, I found the wildfires easily enough. But since actually taking this quest, I've only found one fire, and my attempt to use it failed. Am I just having rotten luck? XD It seems far too difficult to find the things I need for this event, and I confess it's a bit frustrating. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I am having trouble completing the lion skull quest. I have found one and chased off the hyenas, but it won't let me complete the quest. :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

@May Dee - What is the wording of the quest? I had one that told me to visit a graveyard and protect a lion's skull from hyenas. I thought I'd passed it a few times because I'd found a lion skull and protected it from hyena cubs. But then I visited a graveyard and had to do an actual battle with a pack of hyenas (which I thankfully won), and it was only after that that I got the quest completed. 0 players like this post! For everyone: When you want to make a rawhide, use the carcass till it has only one use left. Then make it a Rawhide! You don't have to waste those uses, you can just use it up till 1 use and then make it a Rawhide, easy huh? It really saves lots of servings :D And BTW I'm glad you guys made the cancel quest button <3 It really helps people... 0 players like this post! Like? |

Critique time~ Although I like this even a lot, I have noticed many things that need to be fixed in order to make this more enjoyable. The possibility percent to run toa a event-item and/or scene is WAY TOO LOW. Like some people have already told, you can be stuck with one event for DAYS before you get a possibility to try and complete it. I'm talking about the "Find this, battle that"-quests. It takes hours to actually find the thing/s you need to find, and thanks to the new harder battle-system, winning is never certain. So once you miss one too many times in the battle and loose, you may need to wait another gosh darn day to find the event again. Sure, you can now give up the quest if you want to, but the quests till takes one space from your "Quests you have taken today"-slot. It is frustrating and does not encourage anyone to even bother with the event. In short; Please increase the possibility to run into a event while you explore, especially the ones you need to battle something. Other thing that bothers me is the amount of quests you can take per day. Just three? I'm not sure if this event is meant to be harder than the others and I understand that you can only take certain amount of quests per day, but who only three? Just adding two into it, making it five, would make it easier to collect piety for everyone, especially if you get one of those frustrating quests where you don't seem to find the thing you were supposed to do. In short; Maybe increasing the daily quest-limit by few quests? This may mostly be due my bad luck, but it seems that I keep getting the same three, maybe four quests from the shamans over and over again. "Get me 10 rawhides", "Get me 10 Honey Bushes", "Battle the Hyenas at the graveyard", "Battle the Tsavo". I'm not sure if this is just my bad luck, a bug, or a feature. I'm just saying that making the same darn quest over and over is BORING. I want to see the other quests too, not just these four! Once again, may just be me, but it's starting to get annoying. In short; Code it so that you can't have the same quest triggered in certain amount of time/quests you're taking, maybe five or six? Once again, might just be me. And more unrelated note; the battle system. I'm not sure if you guys have done anything to it since last month, if you are still coding it n order to improve it etc. But I want you to know that it is still badly broken. Mostly it baffles me how easy it is to loose, no matter how high your stats/level are! I can take care of some enemies easily since I have figured out the tactic to take them out, but then there are these enemies that seem to be completely unbeatable because of your level or stats. I get my lion beat up no matter how much I try, and it is frustrating, making me jump over most fight without even thinking about wanting to challenge the darn thing, KNOWING that I will loose. Also; missing. I don't know what the chances are to miss in the battle, but when you miss over SEVEN TIMES IN ONE BATTLE, SOMETIMES IN A ROW you know something is broken. I already talked about this in the post that talked about the new battle system, but I'm not sure if you guys red that post since nothing seemed to change in few weeks. What I'm suggesting is that you guys should make the Explore-areas REALLY level-based. Not just the way that your lion can access it in certain level, but also the strength and level the enemies are. Right now it makes no difference if I'm on lever 1 area or level 15 area, the enemies are just as easy or just as hard as before and it seems to be more species-related that level-related. Why have level-cap in areas if the enemies are all the same in all of them? Isn't it the point of Role-playing that creatures you grind on in the game are first fairly easy and as you progress, you gain level and so do your enemies. As an RPG-gamer it makes me almost mad to see my lion getting beaten up on a level 1 area, despite my Kieron being on level 14 myself! In short; Please make the enemies' levels based on the area they are in, not based on the species itself. If you guys are already working on to improve all this, I'm glad to hear you are and I apologize for rushing. I hope you read this and take it in constructive way. Thank you. 0 players like this post! Like? |
