So. Dragon riders and anti-dragon riders fighting each other? My idea is we each have a character or two, who each have a dragon fighting partner. They don't know each other yet, but they get to know each other after they learn they are fighting for the same thing. Most people don't want dragons there, so there is a huge army of anti dragon riders, and only a few dragon riders left. The dragon riders have to fight to stay alive, and convince everyone they don't want to destroy everything. Set in kind of medieval ages, so swords, bows, and armor. XD Any other ideas? Our Character Bios: Dick Grayson Human: Name: Lewenna Archer Age: 19 Gender: Female Looks: Lithe, 5' 7", 130 Lbs. Fiery, deep red hair with little streaks of black, kind of like embers. Matches her dragon partner. Hazel eyes with a tint of red. She has an extremely fiery and outspoken personality. Will normally say what is on her mind and not afraid of a fight. She will not likely to initiate a conversation, and isn't very good at making friends, but once someone is her friend, she protects them will everything she has. She is very strong and tough, not easy to take down, or keep down, in a fight. Weapon of choose: Hand to hand combat. History: RP out Dragon Name: Aloys (a-lo-yis) Species: Fire Gender: Male Looks: Black with dark red, almost black, underwing liners. Eyes look like black holes. Smaller body frame, but is stronger then most others. His underbelly flares to a deep red when he breathes fire/is angry. Leilani Name: Despira Ives (De-spear-a) Gender: Female Age: 18 (Turning 19) Appearance: Wavy dark brown hair which crops off at around her waist. She stands at 5' 6" and sports a thin frame yet muscular build and weighs in at about 115 lbs. Her features are sharp and defined, with freckles that dot across her nose and cheeks. Despira has shockingly bright blue eyes which stand out against her natural and earthy look. Personality: Passionate in what she believes in. She is quite meticulous to the point of perfectionism, although she may procrastinate Despira is one to get the job done and on time. She takes her responsibilities personally consistently going above and beyond doing everything she can to exceed her peers expectations. Most of the time she takes things directed not necessarily towards her, personally which usually can set her on edge. Her slight shyness and sensitivity shields what lies beneath the surface and due to this she is prone to having bursts of emotion, whether it be from sadness or anger. Strengths: Supportive, reliable, loyal, and very observant Weaknesses: Impatient, tends to bottle up her emotions leaving her vulnerable to outbursts Weapon of choice: Bow and arrow Background: Her father died before she turned 2 years old. Despira grew up in a humble home along with her bed-ridden, ill mother and uncle who kindly takes care for them both. (Rest RP'd out) Dragon: Irisal (I-ris-all) Gender: Female Species: Light Dragon Appearance: Her scales are resemblant to shining gold which seem to radiate a kind of luminescence. Medium-sized compared to other dragons, not too big or small. She has glowing blue eyes which have yellow rings encircling the pupil. Lewanna smiled lightly as Despira spoke of her family. Lewanna flinched a little when she said Aloys couldn't come. She didn't really feel comfortable being injured and him not being there. But as she girl started to walk away, Lewanna almost wanted to lunge at her. It had been so long since she had met a human that was nice to her, she didn't really want to see her go. Lewanna almost smiled when Despira asked if she wanted to come. "Sure." Lewanna replied. "Just let me grab a few things." And with that she walked over to Aloys's pack, taking her bow and quiver off and strapping them to Aloys. She made sure her sword was on her hip before looking over Aloys, putting a hand on his nose. "Stay here buddy. I'll be back. If I need you I'll whistle." A small smile graced her face as Aloys nuzzled her hand. Lewanna turned back to follow Despira. She still had a hand on her side, and she used the other to balance against trees as she walked into the forest. She spared another glance at Aloys before following behind Despira, desperately trying not to stumble. ![]() |

She spun around to stop, hearing the girl's reply. Irisal had stayed behind reluctantly and walked toward the black dragon slowly, head tilted so she was staring at him with one eye, similar to a bird. The dragoness turned away making a low grumbling sound as Despira left once more. Despira smiled as she joined her company and she began to walk again, taking side glances at the girl who was struggling to stay upright. "So um, your name?" She asked quietly her blue eyes traveling to the dark headed young woman. She continued at a slower pace making sure that she could follow properly. While she waited for an answer, Despira couldn't help but think about what she was going to have to face when she returned home. There has to be a way to save her.. She's fought for too long, Despira thought quietly trying not to seem like she was too distraught. Hopefully uncle is not home.. Her subconscious mentioned as she looked forward, shoving her hands in her pant pockets. ![]() |

Aloys watched as Lewanna walked off with the stranger. Her turned to see the gold dragon watching him. Huffing, he took a good look at her. She was easily taller then he was. Bigger too. But that probably meant he was faster and more agile. "What is your name." He asked. His eyes, jet black with no color, watched her every move, his defenses never going down. It had been a long time since he had seen another dragon. And it was kind of nice. Lewanna followed Despira along the trail. She had found a way to walk that hurt less and her bleeding had slowed a little so that was good, but it hadn't stopped. She looked a little shocked at Despira's words, almost pace-palming. "How rude of me. I thought I introduced myself. My name is Lewanna, and my dragon is Aloys." She used a hand to brush her fiery hair out of her face and behind her ear, since most of it had come out of it's ponytail. "Your name is Despira correct? And Irisal is your dragon?." She asked. Watching Despira, she noticed that she looked like she was fighting some kind of internal battle. But Lewanna knew how hard the past could be. So she decided to let her have her secrets for now. Heaving a little, she walked along next to her, hoping her house wasn't too far ahead. ![]() |

The shimmering dragon bowed her head in a generous greeting. "I am Irisal, and you are?" She spoke smoothly, tone unwavering as she watched the onyx dragon with an inquisitive look. Her pupils dilated to their normal roundness as she studied the male head staying held high seeing that he did not relent his defensive posture. Irisal stood on all four of her legs tail curling around her body, keeping eye contact with his seemingly bottomless eyes. She had never seen any of his kind before, but then again she hadn't seen another dragon in years. "No worries." Despira chuckled lightly. "But nice to meet you Lewanna. Your dragon Aloys is interesting, as you know I've never seen another dragon.. Is there other species?" She spoke aloud turning her attention towards Lewanna as she walked forward along the worn path in the woods. "And yes that's correct." She added offering a half smile. Before she knew it the trees cleared giving way to an open valley stretching as far as the eye could see, revealing a small farm-like house not too far off. "That's it." Despira said pulling one hand from her pocket and towards her home. She spotted a familiar horse tied to the front of the house and she cursed under her breath quietly noticing her uncle still had not left. Predictable though as she had ran out of the house not too long ago and he wouldn't have left without her returning. ![]() Edited on 11/11/14 by Leilani (#41219) |

Aloys repeated her actions, wings spreading out slightly and his dark red under-glow glowed a little brighter. "I am Aloys, a fire dragon from the far mountains in the north." He looked at her, relaxing slightly as she didn't seem to be aggressive. "My kind have always been lesser knows. Where might you be from?" His tone turned less defensive as he settled down a little, feeling slightly at ease. Larger dragons had never really scared him. Most of the dragons he had met before had been larger then him. He took pride in his ability to fight as well as the larger dragons even though he was smaller. Lewanna smiled a little as the girl asked about other types of dragons. "There used to be many different types. Ones that could breath fire, others ice, some I have heard even breathed poison. I have met a lot of other dragons, but none is quite a few years." She said, hoping her brief description helped. She brightened up a little when Despira pointed out the house. A small smile graced her lips as she walked next to Despira and towards the house. She gently took her hand off of her side, pulling her old and worn jacket over her and buttoning a couple buttons so her wound wasn't visible. Lewanna noticed the horse. Not knowing Despira's mother was disabled, she assumed it was probably her mothers and the uncle she had spoken of wasn't here. ![]() |

The dragoness nodded her head listening quietly. "Pleasure meeting you." She stopped a smile creeping upon her scaly features. "A fire dragon aye, well the legends seem to be false then I presume. My kind have always told great stories of the large and fierce fire ones." She added holding back a small laugh. She didn't want to seem rude but ever since she was a small hatchling her parents had told her of the terrible and scary fire dragons, black as night. Irisal blinked but then gained her neutral tone. "But to answer your question I am a Light Dragon of the southern Atlantia Coasts." She said following suit as she sat, fore arms holding her upright. "Wow.." She breathed out as she listened to the list of dragons Lewanna rattled off. "I've never seen Irisal use any type of power." She said slowly furrowing her eyebrows, as she tried to recall ever seeing the gold dragoness breathe fire or ice or other type of element. She thought hard but soon recollected her thoughts finally reaching the front door of her house. She reached an arm out pushing it open, as it squeaked loudly revealing one dark and quiet room. A single flame danced on a candlestick illuminating her mother's bedside. Despira looked around the room catching her mother coughing as she laid under the thin sheets, and then she saw her uncle who stood from a chair in the corner of the living room. He walked forward eyes never leaving Lewanna as he came into the small light of the candle. "Why hello there." He spoke his voice low and questioning. Despira sucked in a breath before answering. "Hello uncle, sorry for my brashness. But I-" she was cut off by her uncle's hand gesture to silence her as he spoke again. "Never mind that Despira I forgive you, but who do we have here?" He asked turning his full attention to the girl still standing in the doorway of the small house. ![]() |

Aloys huffed at her mention of the legend. "We may not be huge, but we were a terrifying force. Easily taking down any enemies that came with strength, speed, and agility." He reminisced, thinking about all of his friends he has lost. He sighed, listening to the forest. Lewanna stopped in the doorway, taking in the room. She noticed someone laying a bed under a sheet. She got really confused for a minute before turning her attention to the second figure in the room. She froze, voice freezing in her throat and hands claming up. That guy. He, he, he's the leader of the anti dragon riders. She quickly righted herself and took a breath, settling a forced smile onto her face before reaching out to shake his hand. "Lewanna." She said, taking a calming breath and looking normal. She didn't show her pain or stress at all. She had fought against this guy once, but she doubts he actually saw her in battle. "I meg her on the trail and she offered for me to stay come here for a little while." She half lied, ![]() Edited on 11/11/14 by Dick Grayson (#34810) |

"Hmm." She just replied looking off into the trees. Her scales brightened against the sun's rays filtering down through the branches above. "When did you meet your rider?" She asked suddenly thinking on Despira and hoping she was okay with the stranger. Irisal turned her head towards the Fire Dragon her electric blue eyes studying Aloys. He took her hand slowly, using a firm grip. "Lewanna." He repeated once. "It's a pleasure. Despira doesn't bring many folks by here." He added arching an eyebrow, letting go, his hand dropping to his side. The aged man looked to his niece for a brief moment quizzically. Despira decided to speak up feeling awkward in the silence of the moment besides her mother's constant wheezing. "She's only going to stay for a few days, until she is all healed up." Her uncle glanced at Lewanna, "you're hurt?" He asked seeming concerned, the man inched forward seeing the girl's face in the light. "Wait have I seen you somewhere before?" He spoke up pointing a finger in her direction a confused look plastered on his features. Despira cleared her throat stepping in front of Lewanna, "look I'm going to take her to my room and get something for her wound." She spoke smoothly bewildered at her uncle's sudden interest in the young woman, so she decided to cover for her. Despira placed a hand on Lewanna's shoulder leading her through a door and into her room. ![]() Edited on 11/11/14 by Leilani (#41219) |

Aloys looked at Irisal, debating before answering her. "It was many years ago. She saved me from an attacking force of anti dragon riders. She hid me until they left. But it came at a great cost. Her whole family was murdered that day, and we are all each other has left." He said, pain for his friend laced in his voice. Lewanna shook his hand firmly, listening as Despira spoke, tensing a little when the man asked if she was hurt. She was about to answer he took a step closer, studying her face. Lewanna started to panic a little when he asked if he'd seen her before, but didn't really show it on the outside. She let out a breath as Despira interfeared and let herself be led through the door and into Despira's room. As soon as the door closed, Lewanna wiped around, grabbing Despira by the shoulders and whispering fast and quickly, "Your uncle is the leader of the anti dragon riders. He leads the group. I have fought against him before." She let her go and stumbled back, leaning against a wall and trying to get her breathing under control. "He's killed so many people. So many dragons." Lewanna said slightly panicked, breathing erratic and hand shaking. ![]() Edited on 12/11/14 by Dick Grayson (#34810) |

Irisal listened intently lowering her head in empathy. Her tail flicked at her side as she looked back up hearing the strain in his voice. "I'm sorry." She said then continued trying to get off the subject. "So how'd you end up here? We're quite far from civilization? Are the anti-dragon riders chasing you both?" She asked gaze traveling to her surroundings as she waited for his response. Despira looked to Lewanna's hands on her shoulders, grabbing them with hers then dropping them slowly back to her side, eyebrows furrowed with a concerned look upon her face. "You must be tired.. That's impossible." Despira laughed awkwardly. She watched as Lewanna stumbled back against a wall, trembling fiercely. "Hey, look that's not true I've known him my whole life, there's no way he's killed people or even dragons.. I think you need to rest." She added beginning to walk towards her, hands outstretched in a surrendering way. ![]() |

Aloys nodded at her question. "Lewanna was in a town getting supplies when a fight broke out and she was recognized as a dragon rider. Luckily I made it there before she was killed, but she still got injured. That's why we are this far out. I took her somewhere I didn't think other people would be. I don't think we were followed though." He replied. "How did you meet your rider?" Lewanna looked at Despira, confused as to why she was trying to defend this, this man. "No.." She said desperately. "No. You have to believe me. I have seen him in battle. You don't understand what he had done." She cried to her, shaking. She saw Despira walking towards her and panicked, "Maybe you are one of the anti dragon rebellion too. Maybe that's why you lured be here with him." She frantically looked around for a way to get out of the room when she heard a knock on the door. "No. No. Please don't be him." She whispered. ![]() |

"Well you did come to the right place, not many others stay out here." Irisal concluded. She almost exhaled a sigh of relief as he said they were not followed, and She managed to let her guard down a bit, claws retracting back. Her head cocked to the side as she was asked the question in return and continued. "As you know I lived on the coasts, sparkling beaches, tropical weather.." She trailed off reminiscing. "But it wasn't long until the Light Dragons were found. We scattered, there was fighting, and killing." Her blue eyes shut as she spoke quieter. "I was only a hatchling then, there's not much I remember but soon it was just myself and my mother left. And only a few months later they found us.." Irisal let her wings fall slightly un tucking at her sides. "But in the end I found Despira out here hunting alone, I fancied her instantly, the way she was independent reminded me of myself. And so our friendship ensued." The dragoness finished lifting her head up, the blue skies reflecting against her azure eyes. "Hey, hey calm down okay? Look I'm sorry but I just met you, and I trust my uncle." Despira said slowly eyes showing her only signs of distress at the moment. Suddenly she was taken aback at the girl's words and she replied almost in a whisper. "What? No, I didn't set you up. I have no idea what you're even taking about." She walked closer to Lewanna grabbing her arms at the sides to keep her still and upright. Despira was about to say more when a knock at the door silenced her almost making her jump slightly. She turned holding one hand still against Lewanna's arm and the other cupping her mouth as she stared her in the eyes, begging her to stay quiet and calm. She then dropped her hands slowly walking forward towards the door before calling out. "Yes?" She asked innocently while opening the bedroom door. "Oh uncle." Despira said almost too slowly. His eyes shot from his niece to the girl who was pushed up against the wall looking frantic. "I know who you are.." He spoke, his tone cold and calculating. "Dragon rider." He hissed between his teeth. In an instant he pushed Despira to the side shoving her half way across the room as he reached into his coat revealing a a short and sharp looking dagger. He launched it at Lewanna the blade spinning through the air, until it stuck beside her head thrusted in the wall nearly missing the girl. "Despira get out! She's an assassin come to kill us!" He lied between his teeth reaching for another dagger sheathed at his belt. Despira groaned rubbing the side of her head as it had banged against a wooden dresser, which dazed her. She glanced up blue eyes blinking as she watched her uncle throw a blade at Lewanna. "Uncle no!" She yelled trying to pick herself back up stumbling to her feet. ![]() |

Aloys laid down gently, listening to her tell about their meeting. "So you must not be that old if you have been with her since a hatchling. Must be nice." He said. A question suddenly popped into his head. "Lewanna said my eyes remind her of death. Do you think the same?" Lewanna was frantic, not believing Despira when she said she hadn't set her up. Her arms were grabbed and she struggled a little, trying to find a way away from the girl before a knock sounded at the door and a hand was clamped over her mouth. Desperate hazel and red eyes pleaded to Despira to get her out of here. But she let go and walked over to the door and opened it. She saw him again. Standing in the doorway, looking her dead in the eye and saying with a deadly tone the words she dreaded most. "I know who you are, Dragon Rider." Watching Despira being flung to the side, she didn't see the dagger before it was dug into the wall beside her. She barely heard his next words, watching as he drew another dagger and flung it right at her chest. Her instincts and training kicked in and she leapt out of the way, but didn't quite make it. The blade stuck itself into her arm. She screamed, pulling it out and charging at the man. "You won't kill another soul!" She yelled, no longer feeling pain as she tackled him, slamming into the ground with him. He was dazed and she took that chance. Landing a punch right into his jaw, she whipped around towards Despira with wild eyes, grabbing the dazed girl and half dragging her towards the door of the house. She had the door open and pushed Despira out before her ankle was grabbed, toppling her over. ![]() |

"Oh no, not really." She shook her head softly making eye contact. "Light Dragons age very slowly. From hatchling to adolescence is about 20 years. I was young when they found my mother and I.. I was on my own for quite some time before I actually found Despira." Irisal spoke, before arching an eyebrow at his peculiar question. She stared into his eyes for a few moments then responded, "depends on the kind of death she is referring to." The dragoness began. "Death can be beautiful, I try to picture it as peaceful, serene and a tranquil way of our souls passing on." She let a smile pass through her features, "but I'm not saying it isn't scary for us all, I would say the reason she said that was because your eyes seem to be bottomless and unending. Everyone is afraid of the unknown." She concluded refolding her wings at her sides. She hoped her answer satisfied his question as she so often spoke in a riddling way. Despira's uncle grunted loudly as he was tackled to the ground. And before he could retaliate, a hard blow to his face left his brain rattling a bit. He clutched his head tightly moaning as he watched Lewanna grab Despira and begin to pull her out of the room. "You're not getting away this time!" He yelled reaching out with one hand as he laid sprawled on the floor. He managed to bring her down, but again she slipped from his fingers running off with Despira at her side. She stumbled while Lewanna pulled her along until they reached the door of their house and she turned around frantically as Lewanna fell having been grabbed by her uncle then scrambling back to her feet, Herero eyes wide. The man stood to his feet quickly yanking her ill mother from the bed. She lay limp at first, head drooping down throwing her similar hair color as Despira's in front of her face. Her uncle grabbed her arm with a tight grip until her mother slowly began waking up her tresses slipping away to reveal her sunken in features surprisingly resembling that of Despira. "Wha-what's going on..?" She croaked glancing at her daughter then to her husband's brother, eyes pleading. "Enzo-" Her mother tried to speak more, but her energy supply was depleting quickly as her breaths came out raspy. Enzo reached into his jacket once more a knife slipping into his hand and in a single motion he had the blade to the woman's throat. "Lewanna, you're coming with me or she dies.." Despira cried out and felt her knees wobbling. "Uncle no! No! Please don't! Lewanna don't you are go with him.." She pleaded tears forming in her blue eyes. Aloys listened to her answer, nodding about her age. "My type age quickly from hatching to adults, but live a long time." He said. Listening to her answer, he kind of wanted to argue with her, but opted against it. "Some death may be peaceful, but not the death I have seen." He mumbled. Lewanna's emotions were running high, eyes burning with rage as the man grabbed Despira's mother. She let out a fierce growl, one humans shouldn't be possible to make. She stared at him, almost daring him to try something. But she couldn't get Despira's mother killed over her life. She put Despira in danger by coming here and she wasn't going to let anything happen. The fire drained out from her a little as she held up her hands, ignoring Despira's pleas. "Let her go and I'll go with you. But you have to let her go first." She said calmly, emotions no longer flooding her voice as she took a step towards the man and held her hands towards the woman. "Let her go. She has nothing to do with us." (No problem! =D Sorry mine isn't longer.) ![]() Edited on 13/11/14 by Dick Grayson (#34810) |
