I've noticed that the higher level you lion is, the longer and longer it takes for you to level him up. This isn't just because he needs more and more experience for each level, but is mostly because there is no increase in experience gain for higher level lions. Lionesses gain more EXP the higher level they are while hunting; even level 1 lionesses will gain 500EXP if they're sent in a party with some high level lionesses. I don't really think this system is fair. Males only earn 150-190EXP (190 is the highest experience I've ever gotten from NPC fights, so it's the only one I have to use as an example) from NPC fights in explore. When you lion needs 25,000 or more EXP to level up, it will take roughly 160 fights in order for you to level up. That's if you win all of your fights. If you don't win all those fights it could be closer to 200 fights before you lion will level up. I think that there should be an increase of EXP for your main males while explore. Maybe each region have a range of EXP you could earn at random. Or set it so that each level earns a certain amount of EXP, on top of the EXP we earn from battles in explore. Since some NPCs are only found in specific areas, it's safe to assume that they are "high levels" than the NPCs you would find in, for example, the Temperate Savannah, so why am I earning the same amount of EXP fighting a Rocky Hills specific NPC as I do fighting a Temperate Savannah specific NPC? It just doesn't make sense to have males only earning the same amount of EXP no matter what they're level is. |

Depends on when you started. I just started about a week ago with this king and I am about to reach lvl11 after an explore or two. And btw, you can only spar once a day. Even if you have 5 submales. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! I do have a life outside of lioden and I so far have been only able to reach the Dry Savannah area... never been beyond that. Why do we even have all those areas if you can't reach them with normal gameplay anyway? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't have a life outside of lioden, I'm an hardcore player, and still haven't reached the arid desert.... yeah, leveling up is really hard, I feel like you have to play 18 hours per day or maybe spend lot of money on energy roots in order to get to those areas. My highest level was 18. 0 players like this post! Like? |

So much support for this. I've unlocked all zones only once in my time playing Lioden, but typically I am lucky if I can get to Waterhole and even then I spend more time exploring in the lower zones just because it's easier to win battles there and the experience gained is generally the same! 0 players like this post! Well this seems kind of strange, you want to get more experience to level up, but don't want to grind to get these levels? Then use giant torts and problem solved? 0 players like this post! Like? |

This post was made in 2014.... And I'm pretty sure that the EXP Has been changed since the time of this post, not a lot mind you, since I'm still only getting about 150-190EXP per won battle (In Dry Savannah). I've never made it past level 17, I've never seen the Desert, Marshlands or Waterhole area. The EXP we get per battle still isn't the best based on level. But, like I've said, I've never made it to the Desert, Marshlands or Waterhole areas so I don't know if those areas have an EXP increase or not. This post was from 4 years ago, I'm sure they've updated something with it by now. How did people even find this when the last post was 3 years ago LOL 0 players like this post! Like? |

Huge support, my lions usually get to the desert but never been farther however, since I know leveling and stats are "kinda" a big deal, maybe have the experience increase be zone to zone, that way we can still get to wateringhole but much higher levels would still be "harder" to obtain past the wateringhole but seriously.... in the desert still seeing around an average 300xp or around 1%xp progress if that.. my main male is dead soon at least this one will see the next zone before he dies but only for about a week :/ 0 players like this post! Old post is old, and this sort of already happens...the higher explore levels have more difficult enemies that do in general give more exp. And even the same NPCs will, on average, give more exp in higher level areas than lower ones. For instance fighting an elephant in the jungle will tend to give a less exp than fighting one in the waterhole. You can easily be gaining 600-800+ exp per battle for the harder NPCs once you get to the marshlands and waterhole. I think it’s a pretty reasonable setup at the moment tbh, especially since more explore zones (or biomes, whatever you want to call them) have been planned to be added for a while, which will space out the zones a bit and make more of them achievable for the people (most of us, lbr!) who struggle to get right to the top to level 31+. The newer dynamic Oasis BGs were based on the extras I believe - so there’s Floodplains, Bushveld, Sahel and Riverine Forest planned. This is the only news post about the explore expansion I have to hand, but I think there have probably been others that mentioned it more recently too :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Fair enough but i am a very active explorer, before and coming back and... still getting to waterhole doesn't exactly seem plausible, if exploring on a regular basis. Hopefully it does but either way, old topic I know but still. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I love this idea and agree! The highest level I've ever managed to get my King to was 15. That leaves so many areas in explore that I have never gotten to see, and most likely will never get to see, which is highly unfair, in my opinion. :( Not everyone has time/money to put into trying to get their Kings to level 30+, so they end up missing out on the chance to explore new areas on the map. That's one thing that has always irked me about this site, tbh. I'd love our Kings to be able to gain levels/experience like lionesses do and thus enable the rest of us to be able to explore all the areas on the map. 0 players like this post! Like? |
