As we all know, many people want to breed their sub-males but it's a rejected idea. BUT. What about if, next valentines day event, it was incorporated as a temporary feature somehow? It would be just like how we had the fountain of youth thing that aged your lion back a few years in one of the events because people wanted it to happen but it couldn't be added as a permanent feature.

I feel that story-wise, it could also work out with the way the valentines event is. The whole point is that you're sneaking off to flirt with lionesses in other prides. Maybe your sub males could sneak a breeding in with your pride members while the king's away, flirting. Hmmm!

Brainstorming / Notes
(I didn't want to add specific ideas but I got excited sorry. Obviously you don't have to agree with them all, I'm only tossing some suggestions around.)

It doesn't have to go on for the whole month. It could last for valentines day only, it could be the last tier, etc.

IF you could sub-male breed throughout the whole month (not getting specific. there's many, many ways this idea can be done!) there could also be a high chance of getting caught, with a cooldown of when he can try again -- OR, what about this? You come back from flirting with another pride's lioness, only to discover that one of your sub males had been flirting with one of your in-heat lionesses while you were away. (there could be a certain % chance of this happening!) You can either choose to slap him away or pretend you didn't see it. This way, you can't choose what lioness, however he can't breed without your "permission." This would avoid annoying notifications if you could only see this and take action from the event page.

Ok, maybe we don't have to go that crazy. Maybe it could just be an item that costs event currency or GB (similar to paying for a stud?) The items could disappear once March starts.

*** Sub-male breeding doesn't have to change the way the valentines event was last year; it would only be a new feature added to it!!! ***

And it WOULD help the site's income from zebra heart purchases. For example, if it was on Valentine's day, I'd want to breed my sub to his mate. Say the gal wasn't in heat yet, so I went to buy a zebra heart - only to find that I was pretty broke and I need to buy some GB to get the heart. It works both ways! Non-sub-breeding people would have barely anything to argue about, supporters would be happy, and more income for the site! It all works. :)

Wouldn't there would be more cubs?
Perhaps, but this happens with every event, and every time there's a news post where new markings and bases have been added. Basically every time we get a new way to breed, we have more cubs.

Wouldn't this encourage traditional studding and scams?
In order to avoid this, perhaps transferred lions can lose sub-male breeding privileges. (Is that possible?) Or maybe mods can more strictly monitor this activity during the very limited time this feature is allowed. Suggestions are very welcome. (:

Won't people demand more of it once February is over?
Unfortunately. Hopefully it's made clear that sub-male breeding is a valentines gift only. I personally don't see this as a major concern though. People have asked for the bunny tunnels / murder rock to be permanent, and lioden hasn't burned down yet because of it.
