Cub Stages Feature
We're introducing something new, a feature for accounts for GB that will enable cub growth stages in your den! WARNING THEY ARE CUTE. You can purchase the feature in Oasis, around the Feed All feature. Newborn cubs will show from 0 to 1 month. (2 days) [NEW] Young cubs will show from 2 to 5 months. (4 days) [NEW] Normal cubs will show from 6 till 11 months. (6 days) One purchase will unlock this feature on your account permanently. Cubs transfered to an account without the feature will be reverted back to normal look. This feature affects only dens that have it purchased. Custom Decors have an option to upload & update Newborn and Young cub versions now. We're very interested how this feature will be accepted not only because cubs are cute, but also we are planning to introduce male/female poses in future, but that requires a lot of work prior, to change our display system, to not make poor Xylax produce 100.000 art files. Those would work use-per-lion instead, as cubs grow up fast and you get dozens of them, it's more logical to enable the feature on account as whole. We hope you'll enjoy this purely visual change, after all we try our best to make Golden Beetles a luxury currency, not pay-to-win option. Please keep in minds mutations and decors will need time to catch up with new arts Skipping Hunting TimeOne of the most suggested features in Dev Boards was changing Skipping Hunting fee from GB to SB, which we agree with, as SB needs more options of being spent on. The hunt wait skip now costs 100 SB and we do not think this will affect people "grinding" lionesses, it's the same amount of hunts per day, and you still have to pay extra for the extra hunts. It just speeds up time. Equally, for everyone. General Updates- New global image system should now make all mutations display properly in battle/profile pictures! - Looks like the steroid server is perfect now but this has uncovered some issues with the normal server, hence we are having some crashes. Yes, because having one artist dedicate hours of his time making something we never needed and making it cost something to help further the game's development is so unfair. :L If you don't like the price then don't buy it. It's not needed IN ANY WAY for game play and it's a luxury. You CAN get GB if you work for it. I haven't bought GB at all and I have 30, before the purchase of this I had 40. It's really not that hard. Maybe I'm just getting fed up because every time something is added for GB we get the same comments like "I can't afford it so this is totally unfair!" it really doesn't make you look good. 0 players like this post! Even if buying 10GB with real money is only 5$, that's still a lot for those who are having money troubles or don't feel safe spending money on a game that they might not be on for a really long time. Those who stay on a game for 2+ years, okay fine.. But I, for one, would not spend money (even 5$) if I thought I wouldn't spend 2+ years on the game. If i was determined to, sure, but a lot of people play these games then get bored with it and leave. And by the time that time came, they've wasted 100+$ on a game and won't ever get it back. I was excited when I saw the new features for cubs on Facebook.. then I came onto the site and saw they were 10GB... I was no longer excited for it because I know how hard it is to gain GB without spending real money. And selling lions is super hard because no one wants to spend more than 5sb on a NCL or even 10sb on a lioness with 2+ cubs. :/ If it was easier to sell things before, that means people have gotten greedy over things and make it difficult for new members to enjoy the game. A feature like this shouldn't have to be paid for.. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Utterly adorable little cubbins! OuO Nny wants them allllll. x3 Although my stingy self is like "You don't NEED this. It's just a different image for cubs and totally unnecessary for you to play the game. Don't waste 10 GB on it." but then I just love how adorable they are. ;-; SO. Should I get an extra $5, I'll donate it to buy that feature just because it's one of my favorites now. ;3 Also, If people want GB for it. Do what I do and hunt, then sell the food for SB along with things like lions/decor/art if you do it and soon you'll have GB! It takes a bit of work and all, but a little work never hurt anyone. If we didn't have luxury GB features then I'd guess we would hear about the game shutting down from lack of funds, and I don't think anyone wants that! :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well, I prefer not-affecting gameplay things to cost GB rather than affecting gameplay items. I mean: if the problem is that some people can buy GB and other can't, then I think this keeps the game fair or people who can buy them would get unreachable for stats, markings or whatever those items could affect. I know some games where there are two categories of players: one who can pay real money and who gets better *whatever you have in that game* and people who can't. And the first group is always advantages on the second one, no matter how hard they work. By the way: I can't buy GB with real money, but still I've been able to buy this feature. 0 players like this post! Like? |
