Right now if you want to give someone a free studding you have to send them money. It would be nice if there was a way to write in a user # to waive the studding fee, or maybe a "waive stud fee" checkbox by the Accept/Reject buttons. Would save a lot of time! |

^^ Yeah, people will always find a way or two to do loopholes, and I can’t think of a way to stop that. The question is weither we make stuff a little bit less complicated,or not. But the safest would perhaps be if everything is at it is. But its true that free studding would bring a lot of new things. New possibilities, but also new issues. ![]() |

@Rues "The only difference is people just send the sb back instead,,, This is so those people don't have to CONSTANTLY send it back every time they get a stud, Or accidentally forget and then get yelled/ Reported for "Scamming", though they did nothing wrong, All cause they forgot to send the sb back," I'm sure people don't just report immediately, but probably PM first... so I doubt that is a common thing. On top of that, you could waive the fees for other people in general so it could be used that way, to people who didn't earn it, which brings up my point. Why go buy studs when you can get free studs? Yes free-studding is a thing, but it would be more common if it was easier to do. If it was easier to do, I'm sure more people would just give it, as a thing, instead of as a "you won my contest" or "you won my raffle". ![]() |

So I know this is a really old thread that's been necro'd, but since people are still posting I guess I'll add my two cents anyway. It's a no support from me. Tbh, I think the whole idea of keeping free studding as a promise based transaction is to lightly deter people from doing it all the time. Obviously it's not a complete deterrent, but it wildly reduces the amount of people doing it because a lot of us mostly avoid promise transactions. Removing that deterrent would almost certainly make a huge increase in the number of people routinely doing free studdings, and there's no way that's going to have a positive effect on the economy. The stud market is what it is, and it's generally worsening over time too. imo if anything it needs more measures to keep prices up to a decent level, rather than less. Adding a way of 'officially' doing free studdings with no risks would have a similarly negative effect on the market and stud values overall as other ideas that have been floated like reducing minimum fees per markings. And once stud prices are affected that inevitably has a knock-on effect on cub prices, and it just spirals out from there. ![]() |

If this was between linked accounts only, I'd support. But not for anything else. Some people make most of their beetles through studding and that would mess up their income. ![]() |
