You know those annoying explore messages? "You chase a leopard away from its kill and take the carcass for yourself. -x amount of hunger" Suppose you wanted to feed your lion a carcass that might give stats? It can be annoying to get these and take that opportunity away. It would be even harder to ignore these all together during events or any other time you're trying to gain something. This is where my proposal comes in. Instead of automatically reducing the hunger it should be changed so the user can approve it. Instead of the old message we could have: "You chased a leopard away from it's kill and take the carcass for yourself. CHOW DOWN or ignore" CHOW DOWN being a button that leads to "You decide to chow down on the carcass. -x amount of hunger" I'm sure ther are some who'll agree with me on this. I'm open to any comment question, suggestions, or concerns! Suggestion 1 by Tefnut (#54138) I honestly think it would be better if we received carcasses (didn't have to automatically eat what we find, or else ignore it and thereby waste it for no apparent reason) and depending on who feeds on it, the amount of the carcass left will decrease, so we don't waste an animal. EX: "You chased away a leopard from its kill! TAKE IT, LEAVE IT/DESTROY IT (you just felt like not letting the leopard eat, I guess, maybe to keep it from gaining strength and harming your future cubs, etc.), or PLAY WITH IT (maybe gain some type of points)." My take on this is that the buttons can be CHOW DOWN or TAKE! with TAKE! giving you a carcass with a very low percent and/or half of the normal uses. But personally I dislike this idea due to the numerous amount of food gaining possibilities on explore + hunting. |

i support.. but i dont think it should be a priority. my reason for saying this is you can feed him before going out exploring :) ![]() |

True but who thinks to feed their lion at rollover? Suppose you buy hippo meat in the middle of the day post-exploring? You'd have to wait until next rollover to use it. ![]() |

Some people that don't use that tool also feed specific thing to specific lions. Say your main only eats small turtles for possible smarts. You'd have to explore to find that possibly hitting 2 or 3 of these messages along the way. Knowing me I'd hit 15 X3 ![]() |

TAKE IT, LEAVE IT/DESTROY IT (you just felt like not letting the leopard eat, I guess, maybe to keep it from gaining strength and harming your future cubs, etc.), or PLAY WITH IT (maybe gain some type of points)." Let's say: You chose to take it. The carcass has 50% meat on it, due to buzzards/leopards(/whatever animal was eating before you came along) feeding and it being a stolen kill and all. Your lioness has 20% hunger. She feeds, so now the carcass has 30% left, rather than one less use. Then: If a lioness or you have 30% hunger and then feed on that same carcass, it is now gone, and you are left with bones you can use for playing or chewing. I like your idea, but it can be improved upon, methinks. Does this make sense? I'm not downing your idea, lol. Just adding some thoughts to keep in mind, or like different directions/avenues to explore as a reason as to why we would change the options. It would in effect be more realistic. Beneficial, too. ![]() Edited on 03/02/15 by Tefnut (#54138) |

I mainly like the automatic feeding because I dont have to press a button. It would be neat if at least the choice of feeding in explore stayed, though. ![]() |

@tefnut I see what you're saying, but there are many other opportunities to take a carcass from explore. These messages are frequent. I can get three or four in a row. It'd have the same effect of scavenging carrion and the food pit during the event. Carcasses were left to rot creating more waste then simply leaving a non-existent carcass. As for the percentage thing.. It seems silly to me. Why would we implement a new feeding system for one explore message only? Perhaps you should try suggesting it to completely replace the old system? ![]() |

I feed and play with my lions every day as soon as I rollover... It's part of my daily routine ![]() |
