Before I submit this thing for my art class, I'd love to get your opinion on it.

(the link sends you to deviantart, I promise!)

It's great o3o The only thing I'd say is that the thumb on the hand to the right looks a little... odd. Not really the thumb itself, but more like where it's placed.

Other than that, it looks good!~

@Phoenix That hand gave me trouble, as a 'male' style really isn't my strong point. XD I left it alone cause I'm terrified I'd mess it up if I mucked with it anymore than I did.

Do you want positive opînions only or would you accept negative opinions?

The left hand is good, although the wrist is maybe a bit thin, the right hand could do with work though ^^

I think it's the thumb like Phoenix said, and the palm needs more detail. Maybe the definition on the fingers too.

For being done with a mouse it's pretty good though ^^

@Cyostine

I'm accepting both!

@Billby Thanks! It's defientely something I'll revisit a bit later on, and probably take more time with the right hand. It was the last thing I did, so I rushed it.

Okay, let's be honest then.
Your hand anatomy is good. Not perfect, but good.
The girl's wrist is too thin, it makes her hand look weird.
The male hand is good, but it may be better, mostly about the ring finger, the little finger and the thumb. The thumb is too far in the hand, the thumb muscle is supposed to be really closed (if not attached to) the wrist.
The coloring is not bad, but fires usually set a really particular shading and lighting, while your lighting here is really flat. Unless they're supposed to be surrounded by fire? But there would still be more reflect, and mostly more strong ones.
Also, I'm not fond of your fire neither. Too much yellow. You can easily get a stronger fire. There is a lot of tutorials on DA:

It may help to add that I currently don't have a drawing tool, I use a mouse and mousepad, so I can't get my lines as precise as I'd like compared to when I'm drawing using pencil and paper. That, coupled with the fact it was 5 am by the time I started the right hand. XD

The girl's wrist was a bit deliberate, though. I have almost no wrist definition due to an accident I had in childhood where I broke both my wrists, so the bones didn't grow properly.

Proper lighting and shading are something I've struggled with, I either use it too much, or not enough. It's definitely something I'm working on, and hopefully I can improve upon this after I've gotten a bit of practice under my belt.

And thanks for the tutorials, @Cytosine! I tried looking last night on youtube, but I didn't really see anything that helped.
