I was just in the trading centre and I had an idea: What about a giveaway centre? This would save all the hassle of giveaway threads, and could also give new players some cool new items or lions depending on how generous the community is. It could also remove all the 'free' 1sb lions that clog up the trading centre.

I'm bad with words, so here's a very rough mock-up I did just to demonstrate what I mean:

A time limit on how many things you can get from the giveaway centre per hour. Lions received from the giveaway centre will also be on autobuy countdown.

Icy suggests that:
Different sections of the centre for 'newbies' (1-3 months playing time), 'established prides' (3 months to a year) and 'pride rulers' (1 year +). This idea is based on time played, rather than the time since the user has joined. Donators can specify who their donation is for.

Manete adds that there should be an option to make the donation available to all groups.

Panda suggested for the layout, buyout should be replaced with take, and there should be buttons to take the giveaway next to the link
