This suggestion was originally pitched by Airika (#1552) who asked me to actually do the thread.

The idea is that you can lock a lioness/cub/submale to prevent them from accidentally chasing or killing them.

Much like with an NCL on cooldown, there would be a message at the top of the lions page reading;
This lion is locked and cannot be sold, traded chased or killed.

I have two potential ways to go about locking the lion;
- mass locking via clicking a checkbox next to their names in the den list
- single locking via a button somewhere on the individual lion's page

The locking button/option would become an unlocking feature on any already locked lions.

Thoughts? Ideas? c:

Support~ I'd love to lock some of my favorite lions. I've chased one on accident once and I sold a stat replacer of mine that was still a cub when I was selling a few cubs together on accident. ;u ;

I support..with only a minor thing is to add that there would be a little icon by the lion's name (like the pregnancy, trade, and level up icons), so you don't have to go to their profile to know if the lioness is locked or not :)

I desperately need a way to lock lions from being sold, espc with the new trading system... it's so easy to accidentally check mark lions.

I searched for similar topics about locking lions, and came across Detective's post specifying a lock for trading. Which is exactly the feature I need as well.

It doesn't really make sense that we can lock lions from being chased/killed/sent etc, but can't lock them from being seen in the trading center. I set ALL of my lionesses to be hunters just so I can filter out the ones I actually want to sell. Don't get me started on males though, since those cannot be set to hunters ><

I'm not really sure *why* the other threads specifying a lock for trading were directed here, as I feel this thread was about the secure feature that was added, not post-secure feature.

There should be a further feature to lock from trades.

@skeletal They're already sorted by cave, and if you name them something different it shouldn't be an issue. I feel like basic organization could fix your problem

Although I think you would be better off making your own thread about this, or voice your support on other existing threads. This one is very old and Its not quite the same as your suggestion

@akiosecret

The reason I did not make my own post, is because Detective DID and was told its the same as this one, which is why I responded to this one.

Sorting by cave is sick, and I do sort all my lions in their own caves, but the way they show up in TC is alphabetical, but unsorted is always at the bottom (I found unsorted to be the easiest for selling rather than having a cave dedicated to it).

But that doesn't take away from the fact that you can still accidentally misclick a lion when setting up trades and accidentally put it in a trade for something under value. Male lions (heirs) especially.
Which was a highlighted reason in Detective's post, as well as another post that was directed to this thread.

But if this is considered too old of a thread, I can try to make my own post I guess. I just think it would have been locked and redirected to this one anyway.
