Birds, standing twice as tall as elephants, they are bonded to each girl and boy from when the children are babies and the rocs hatchlings. When a couple has a baby, their rocs produce an egg, which will grow up with and bond to the child. Rocs can appear in the coloring of any bird, even birds of paradise or peacocks. And they are valuable to the people of Taria. But when their leader is assassinated and overthrown, what side will YOU be on? The Rebels, wanting to attack their enemy village? Or Loyalists, wishing to remain peaceful herders?"
