In the lands of Neru, there are mighty beasts most would never understand - Dragons! In the beginning, there were three - Ashta, Kaara, and Sempta. Ashta believed in being truthful above all, vowing to allow the dragons not in government to help with decisions. Kaara believed in kindness above all, vowing to always take in any strays who ask. Sempta believed in cunning above all, vowing to never be outwitted or outmatched by an opponent. So the three dragons went to different places, Ashta to the rocky cliffs by the sea, Kaara to the sweet smelling meadows, and Sempta to the dense forests. There they built their holdings and brought dragons to their lands. These dragons govern themselves. They have a system of hierarchy that has allowed them to live in peace for thousands of years, but with space becoming an issue and tension between the three lands, will that all come crumbling down? RULES ~If you want to have established mates with someone else's character beforehand, please message them first and see how they feel ~No "u" "idk" etc. I hate text speak. Please use proper spelling, and make replies longer then two words or one sentence. Post replies with at least 2-3 sentences to keep it interesting and detailed ~ONLY THREE DRAGONS PER PERSON(didn't want this one to get lost in the mix) ~Non mature-fade to black acceptable for mating. If you'd like to do more detailed mating, it has to be done off the thread ~In history/bio please do not just put "find out" or "doesn't talk about it". I would like people to actual think about their characters before creating them. If you don't put something legitimate, I WILL reject your character. ~Hybrids are RARE and thus you will need to PM me with a basic idea of what you're doing for it and get my OK before making one ~We measure age in Dragon years. You will be rejected if you don't. The average dragon lifespan is about 80 dragon years. They are considered elderly and no longer able to breed at around 40 dragon years. Rules subject to revision if I feel it's neccesary There are 5 different species of dragon: Luan - white and mysterious, they are usually gentle souls who, with practice, have the ability to transfer into the spirit world for brief amounts of time Aibheis - deep cool colors(blue, purple, etc) and playful, they are usually curious creatures who, as they age, can light up their scales and hold their breath for almost infinite periods of time Cagaran - light, fawny colors(browns, tans, creams, etc)and kind, they are usually loving parents, who grow in tight knit families and are usually the shyest of the dragons Brok - shades of green and sly, they are usually the wittiest tricksters and have from birth have the ability to blend with their surroundings, although it gets better with age Siup - dark colors(blacks, greys, etc) and athletic, they are usually the biggest and toughest of the dragons, who have prehensile tails and, with training, are able to climb with great speed and jump great lengths without spreading their wings ONE MORE THING You read about the three lands? (I sure hope you did if you're this far down XD) Well, you get to pick which one you want to be a part of, and the hierarchy systems are a bit different in each. Here, I'll show you! Ashta: Ashta people believe in fairness, so they have Voices of the People, who then speak to Council Members, who then talk to the Heads Of House. Heads of House (5 spots) - Dwynwen(Aibheis) BlazeRed <3Loki's Gal<3#27478 Council Members (11 spots) - Voices of the People (7 spots) - Successors (5 spots) - Becca #37407 Hunters - Guards - High Guards - Hatchers - Kits - Trainees - Heads of House are one of each type of dragon, and they discuss and make decisions based on what they hear from the Council Council Members are those who speak to the Heads of House, relaying the messages from the Voices of the People about things that should be changed Voices of the People are those that go and listen to gatherings of common dragons to see what is most important to be discussing, and take those messages back to the Council Successors are young ones that are to follow in the footsteps of the Heads of House Kaara: Kaara people believe in kindness, so they have an orphanage for stray kits, and a rehabilitation center for dragons who have lost their way. They are a matriarchal society. She makes decisions for the kingdom and is respected by the greater populace King/Consort is(are) the mate(s) of the Queen. She picks and chooses them to her desire, and can send them away as she pleases Healers are those that run the Rehabilitation Center and fix the stray and wounded dragons. They are the first on the scene when someone has found a wounded or lost dragon Kit Coordinators are those that run the Orphanage and help kits find new homes. They are usually the most loving, and often have lost kits of their own Heirs are young dragons(female) that are the Queen's offspring, whether by blood or adoption, and compete to become the new Queen. Eventually, only one Heir is left(the others don't die, they just get rejected by the Queen) Sempta: Sempta people believe in wit and cunning, so they have an elite force of Spy Guards protect the land. They also have an Adviser to the king, and a Weaver of Deception. They are a patriarchal society. Eventually, only one Heir is left(the others don't die, they just get rejected by the Queen) Spy Guards are ninja dragons that are the most athletic and sneaky of the High Guard. Only the most dedicated Guards ever make it this far Advisor is the King's right-hand, typically male, who gives him advice on decisions. He also typically goes to the commons and listens to the general populace's opinions. Usually, the King keeps the identity of his adviser a secret Weaver of Deception is the most silver-tongued of all the dragons. They must be able to talk their way out of any situation, convince any dragon of their way, and be an ambassador the other kingdoms. Only those dragons with the strongest of wills can see through this one's deceits COMMON ROLES High Guard is the top level guard in most kingdoms and are those that typically guard the leaders and ambassadors from other kingdoms Guards are the step below High Guard, and can be promoted to High Guard if they train hard enough and are trustworthy Hunters are those that find and bring back food for the kingdom Trainees are young dragons who start under general training and get more detailed training as they get older to take over a position somewhere besides leadership. They are never older than 4 years Kits are baby dragons that are below the age of 2 years Hatchers are the dragons that watch over and keep warm the egg clutches of all the females who have them. They also care for kits when needed. The leadership have their own personal Hatchers. (Sempta doesn't have Hatchers because they believe in self-sufficiency and expect females to raise their own young) Dragon years to Our years - 1 Dragon year is 4 of Our years FORM Name: Age: (please use DRAGON years. Then one day she snaped and attacked her eldest brother, Taevarth, her mother saw the whole thing and chased her into the Kaara kingdom and abandoned her for life. Soon a guard named Talath found her and took her in. Soon she began her training and found that she loved to hunt. So she finished her training as a hunter. 2 years later Talath died and Axsxer grived of her adoptive mother and does til the day she joins her. History: Dominate grew up in Sempta. She had an ordinary childhood, but then she realized that she did not agree with the government. Therefore she went to Kaara, whose values she agreed with most. Name: Cetus Age: 34 ( 136 ) Gender: Male Kingdom: Kaara Species: Aibheis Role: Kit Coordinator Personality: Despite having a few scars practically tattooing his body, Cetus is not only a large brute but also a huge softy. He is very forgiving and sympathetic to the ones he either trusts or is currently caring for. Cetus has a large sense of humor and riddles that he loves to tell to the younger generations and even if they didn't want to hear he would say otherwise. Despite having a gracious attitude--Cetus is extremely stubborn and can be very directive. Especially when something ends up getting on his nerves. History: ( this gets long??? oop) When he was born, Cetus was considered to be a bully for his size. He was larger than his clutch-siblings and occasionally he would hurt them during playing too roughly (not that it was his fault entirely, his sisters and brothers were just small, whoops ) Despite this, Cetus learned that when he was older but still a young hatchling--that being a Kit Coordinator is a task that he greatly appreciated for what he wanted to do. He started to take a lot of notes on how his care-takers took care of him but also took the time to enjoy the youth that was given to him. Cetus was soon adopted at the age of four by a female Cagaran. He had a very interesting life-hood. His adopted mother let him feel as one but also despite being extremely smaller than he was she trained him. Sometimes Cetus would leave training with a few new scars, the old were from his younger days as a hatchling, but the new he did not care about. When his adopted mother passed away, Cetus learned all the necessary skills and tactics to live a life fully as a Dragon. Even when rumors would go around him, saying that he was to join the High Guard or a Hunter, instead he took his skills into caring for the new-ones. He quite enjoys his job, but you can occasionally see him near/under the waters and keeping his large body within his physical peak. FORM Name: Arya Age: 4 (16) Gender: Female Kingdom: Kaara Species: Luan, Brok (Yes, I asked) Role: Heir Personality: A sweet and gentle soul though, this is just her act while in the castle as heir to the mighty kingdom of Kaara. Her real personality (Though you may/may not see it) is cunning, sneaky, loving, and almost should be feared. Almost. Ever since she was brought to the castle by her lovely adoptive mother, the queen, she still has longed for a life outside of the castle. She blends in well, or at least she hasn't been caught, outside of the castle grounds to the villages. She only goes for the excitement of things and how those below her act in normal days of life. Even if she may love her castle, is it right for her? History: I was adopted by my [adoptive] mother, the queen. I never asked why she did this, even though I am fully interested in what she saw in me, a mixed dragon, compared to others through the kingdom. I was about 1 (4) when I brought to the castle, all I remember of that day is seeing her lovely face and the large walls of the intimidating soon-to-be-home. Since I was about 3 (12) I wanted to see the outside world, the only person that I trusted the whole time I was there to speak to about this was John, a high guard of the castle. He showed me their ways so I wasn't so easily spotted. He then taught me how to use my wings specially for quiet escapes. Mate: Impress me?
