So, after someone brought up this problem in this thread, I figure it would be a good time to post this now and have the staff consider/be able to code this in time for the August event (if they decide to implement this).

The August event shop opens up based on good or bad human interactions based on the community as a whole

There was a good shop, and an evil shop at the time.

You know what this means? People were just getting all upset over which shop should open on x day, and the bad shop being open on the very last day of the event and etc. It just causes a lot of conflict within our community.


The Suggestion



*Have the good or bad shop open up based on the single player's interactions throughout the day.

You want to access the good shop? Great, all you need to do is preform good karma interactions with the humans for this event.

You want to access the bad shop? You should preform bad karma interactions with the humans.

Either way your own karma based decision won't weigh upon the whole community, and they will have the freedom to choose whichever shop they want to be open for the day to their personal liking c:

But I do not want it to affect our karma points. Some lions, like myself just want to be a bad guy and avoid everything that affect our karma possitively and vice versa.

If the interactions doesn't affect our karma points, but only counts toward opening the shops, then I'm all behind this suggestion!


Or if it has to be a communal thing, have it so we can unlock both shops simultaneously. It would work kinda like the flirt and slap shops from february; both shops has 3 tiers we have to unlock throughout the month, bad karma interactions counts toward the evil shop and good karma interactions counts toward the good shop.

In this case I wouldn't mind if the interactions counted toward our karma points because we all work together to fully unlock both shops. Good karma lions work together to unlock the good shop, evil karma lions work together to unlock the evil shop and neutral lions/lions who don't care about karma can work on whatever shop they see fit. ''

I put your suggestions up too Mini ^^

I just thought this would be better than the original way, and at the time I didn't really see a way around the karma thing. So unlocking both shops would work out much better for both parties :) I didn't really understand why we had to decide as a community what shops open on what days anyways. I said this in the original post but it just causes more arguments and tension than needed.

Currently, I really dislike the way it's set up. It would be awesome if that was changed.

But Xylax - I don't know why it was decided that this particular event would be different from the others? Each one I can recall usually has the standard 'unlock tier 1 2 and 3 after doing x y z' aside from the Christmas event I believe so I don't know why this added difficulty was added in for this one event?

I've seen too many people say they don't like how this month in particular's shops work. I personally even like the dive beetles event more than this one. At least that one wasn't dependent on karma and player decisions on what shop to open. Also, why is the new mane unlocked by killing humans in the first place? I guess that might be the main issue. The peddler's shop requires dried bones instead of good karma or something to unlock all the while there's no real motive for good karma players to keep doing their interactions when they could have a new mane instead, which is an "unfair advantage" for bad karma players, even if it's the community's decision to do so.

My main point is: I see the destroyer's shop open more often, and more often than not, I don't think it's really because the community wants it open all the time, but they want the new mane unlocked instead.

I hope that makes better sense, yeah?
