Years after the birth and death of Eragon, there is some semblance of peace in Alagaësia. So, a wealthy young woman, a half-elf descended from Eragon, and named Tyli, has decided to hold a public way to choose new riders. 15 eggs sit on pedastals around the clearing. All people aged 10 and up that are able to make it have been invited to the Choosing, where the Draft happens. If an egg picks you, you join the Draft. And joining the Draft sends you into training to become a Rider, enforcing peace and flying above the others. Things only start going downhill when an egg belonging
to Tyli goes missing.

You walk into the small clearing to stand in a line. Reaching the front, a man faces you. "Before you go anywhere near the eggs, you'll need to fill out the form so we know who you are. If a dragon chooses you, we'll take it and you will have to write your dragon at the bottom." Written in elegant lettering is the following-
