Sanguine | Graveyard | > Gabmol Some tall, splotchy, floppy eared dog calmly emerged from the thicket. Sanguine snorted. "Sorry, I thought you were someone else. I bet that place has some good shelter," he added, flicking his gaze towards the cemetery. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Gambol | Male | German Shorthair Pointer | 8yrs Likely the dogs he was fleeing from in the barn, Gambol mused silently, keeping a close eye upon the pitbull. As Sanguine gestured toward the cemetery, the pointer snorted, taking a seat upon the grassy turf. "Probably, I suppose. If you can stand the overpowering scent of death and mouldering corpses," he returned drolly, kicking at an itch inside his left ear. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Whisper | Female | Saarloos Wolfhound When Cayenne confirmed the Windhound was with her Whisper visibly relaxed. She let her gaze sweep the rest of the street and then hopped down next to Saorise, leaving only Misha to stand in the half-blocked doorway. "Go inside. Before someone else sees you and wonders what we are all doing here," she said urgently. It seemed clear to her now neither of these females were a threat to her group. She was almost glad that another dog had shown up. Saorise could hopefully help Cayenne with the door while Whisper stayed by the entrance to keep watch. She would certainly feel more at ease as a lookout. Timber | Female | GSD/Husky Mix "Maybe not, but I bet you wish she was," Timber snickered. She was having a little too much fun teasing the younger dog. Deciding not to push it she quieted down and turned a circle on the bed before laying down, shifting her curled tail over her nose and beginning to doze off. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Yeah I guess." Croatoan blinked, remembering he'd beat the female in their fight, and scraping the ground lightly with his good paw, standing guard in the entrance. Lucifer had enough of this place it reeked of nasty human smells and she darted out. No way in hell was that gonna be there home. Suddenly she froze, out of the corner of her eye she spotted another 2-3 story building. It looked like a place she had raided many times before and always came out with plenty of food. Her tail wagged slightly as she entered, low and ready to fight her way through. The bottom level was raided, empty, everything but the counters bolted to the floor was gone. Growling she made her way towards a slightly ajar door, nudging it open she found stairs. Venturing up slowly but surely she found a dead dog, who looked like he had been torn apart by a ton of terriers. Snorting she ignored it, this place was perfect. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sanguine | Graveyard | > Gambol Sanguine shrugged. "The smell's not so bad," he grunted, grateful for the half-support. "Besides, if I go any farther, my paws will fall off." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Soarise | Female | Silken Windhound | 2yrs As Whisper's body language relaxed, the windhound was measurably reassured, her own posture smoothing in response. At the dog's request, Saorise approached the door, measuring the distance carefully before leaping up with minimal scrabbling. Tail wagging closely against her legs, she picked her wary way inside, pausing only to greet Misha on the way by. Bowing her head to the black and gray dog, she then moved passed, ears perking brightly as the ginger coat of her companion caught her gaze. Gait shifting into a brief trot, she came to a halt in front of Cayenne, her figure quaking in jubilation. It was obvious she was incredibly happy to have finally found her. About to express such thoughts, Sao abruptly quit her celebration, visage taking on a more sober expression as she recalled their previous encounter. "Don't run off like that," she finally growled, lifting a paw to lightly bat at the malamute's snout. Gambol | Male | German Shorthair Pointer | 8yrs "So you say," the male snorted, front legs extending until his front half was positioned close to the ground. Disgruntled, he tucked his nose against his paws, rubbing his muzzle there as if he were attempting to scrape something off of it. After doing so for a few moments, he straightened once more, two sneezes quaking his form before he finally recovered. "Let's just accept that my nose may be stronger than yours," he sighed, giving his head a good shake before padding toward the pitbull. Reaching his side, Gambol took a seat, eventually stretching out to rest upon his belly. He was oddly pleased by Sanguine's relaxed attitude, the dog not even bothering to react with hostility, despite the fact Gambol was a stranger. His tongue lolled as his eyes roved about the area, focusing from time to time upon the strange stones before darting off again. 0 players like this post! Like? Misha| 1 yr. 8 m.| Mudi Dog The small grey and black female stiffened as the new dog leaped up and moved past her, but glanced back towards Whisper. She seemed content to guard the entry way, so Misha hopped back down and moved towards the large metal door. Peeking her nose inside, she took a good whiff, her bushy tail wagging softly. Glancing down towards where Gabriel was looking up at Aspen, she smiled as he answered a question she hadn't heard the greyhound ask. "No, I don't think so. It smells good though!" The pup stuck out his tongue to taste the meet and his tail ended up wagging. Misha smiled towards the two males in the "food room" as she deemed it, and then stepped back a few paces, glancing towards Cayenne and her companion. They were easily twice the size of her; Misha wasn't small, but she wasn't large either. "Hey Cayenne?" She called softly, turning her ears back, "Do you think you and your friend could get this door open more? I'm just not strong enough for a door this heavy," she admitted quietly, her head dropping an inch. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Whisper | Female | Saarloos Wolfhound Once Saorise had disappeared inside the wolfhound followed her back up, planting herself down on the cabinets to keep watch. She could see outside, but was shadowed enough by the dark entrance that another dog might not see her immediately. This felt right. Guarding her companions and these new dogs from any potential threats. Perhaps guarding is what she should have been doing all along, rather than just birthing pups for her previous master. The thought saddened her. She'd had two separate litters before the disease struck, only knowing them for a few months before they were taken away by other humans. Her people had loved her she knew, but there was always that feeling of emptiness left behind every time a pup was taken from her. Her last litter had been lost even before they were born and that memory weighed upon her mind heaviest of all. Shaking her head she re-focused on the task at hand. She couldn't afford to be distracted right now. Aspen | Male | Greyhound "They are good!" Aspen confirmed, slicing one of the plastic packages open with his teeth. There was plenty and Misha had already discussed eating first before trying to carry anything home. He figured there was no harm in giving Gabriel a taste of some of the meat now. Pulling one of the hot dogs from its package and placing it down in front of the puppy, he nudged it closer with his nose. "Try it, but don't gobble it down too fast or you might get sick," he advised. He wanted to wait for Misha and the others before eating anything himself so he began looking around the rest of the storage room for anything else of interest. Timber | Female |GSD/Husky Mix Timber dozed on and off for awhile. When she finally woke back to full alertness she was disappointed to see it was still just her, the pup and Croatoan in the room. What was taking Lucifer so long? "I need to take a piss. You going to let me outside or should I do it in here?" She asked the Doberman gracelessly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lucifer was moving around the room, rubbing her sides against the walls and doors to show it was hers. Her ears caught something coming up the stairs and she froze before inching forwards with a rabid sounding bark. Sending the cat running for it's life with a yowl. She chuckled and marked right in front of the building before darting off with a swinging tail. It was maybe a block from their old place and was perfect. It had hiding places, rooms, but the downside was only one exit know. (Theres a fire exit outside one of the windows.) It looked like an old apartment which is what it couldve been. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cayenne Cayenne relaxed when the confrontation ended peacefully, and she walked back over to the contraption. "Sure, I'll help." She wriggled as far as she could underneth the door and pushed up, giving the littler dogs much easier access to the food inside. The door was heavy, but she would be able to hold it for avwhile. "Hurry up and get as much food out as you can before I have to let it fall back again." Cayenne didn;t want to waste her strength for nothing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sanguine | Graveyard | > Gambol "Perhaps," Sanguine grumbled in response. He stiffened as the stranger got close to him, and then gave himself a shake, as if to clear away his anxieties, unsure of whether they stemmed from the barn dogs, the pointer, or the strange park that smelled of death. A half-growl accidentally escaped from his throat, but he stopped himself. "Sorry," he yawned. "Do you know any better places to sleep? And I'm not sleeping in a kennel," he added. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Saorise | Female | Silken Windhound | 2yrs The windhound paced worriedly behind her friend, tail flicking from side to side as she watched the malamute fight to hold the door ajar. Two disembodied voice echoed from inside, betraying the presence of more dogs. With a huff, she inched close to where Cayenne stood, her desire to help evident. However, Sao was not quite tall or strong enough to assist. Her bone structure was much like Aspen's, and though her thicker pelt offered somewhat of a buffer between her and the world, holding the door in such a way would most certainly wound her. Gambol | Male | German Shorthair Pointer | 8yrs The male chuffed at Sanguine's words, his faded gaze shifting to the pitbull. "Do I look like the kind to sleep in a kennel, myself?" he teased, seeming to be indifferent to the anxiety and accidental hostility of the dog. Shifting into a more comfortable position, he sighed. "Anywhere would be better than here," he noted, "but a place like this is one which other dogs would avoid. It's probably pretty safe, considering." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aspen | Male | Greyhound Aspen glanced over to the door, alert as he heard it being lifted. He relaxed when he saw it was only Cayenne holding it open more. "You got it!" He responded enthusiastically, sliding the box of hot dogs closer with his front paws and then giving it a more solid push so it slid past the door into the outside room with Misha and the others. He started pacing shelves as quickly as possible, grabbing at packages and boxes of food that didn't smell too sour or rotten, tossing them out to the other dogs. 0 players like this post! Like? |
