Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! Plot Update The scene is a small woodland, of about thirty trees. Through it runs a narrow stream where a few fish, barely big enough for a bite, swim peacefully. Surrounding the woodland is a flat plain of grass stretching as far as the eye can see. Behind lies the remains of the once great forest. Ahead lies mystery, adventure and maybe, just maybe, the Valley of Hope. As blossoms begin budding, wolves are reminded that amidst chaos there can be happiness and new life. The day are getting warmer, and the last of the ice is melting away. Soon there will be plenty of prey, and the harsh winter will be long forgotten. Pups have just become old enough to leave dens, and adolescents are starting to join pack hunts. Be aware of light rain showers causing mud slides! 0 players like this post! Like? Velvet || Female || 4 years || Undecided rank Velvet’s appearance Velvet sat on the edge of the small stream, whimpers escaping her maw every so often. Her dark ears were pressed against her head and her tail laid limp on the ground. Usually so confident and sure of herself, she felt lost. Everything she’d known was gone. Her parents, her alphas, her siblings, the pups she was trusted to watch over; everything had vanished. Alone in the world and in strange surroundings, she didn’t know what to do. Her entire world, the home she’d lived in her whole life, the den she was born in; all was gone. Her heart broke more each second as she thought about her family and tried to forget what had happened to them. The femme released a heavy sigh and looked up to the sky. Where was she supposed to go now? She’d never been alone and knew she wasn’t cut out for it. She was a social being and lived for the pack. Now with no pack she had no purpose. How she wished for even one of the many males who’d tried to court her in the past to turn up now. She had enjoyed their affections, knowing her own beauty, but ultimately rejected all of them. If they were here now though, she wouldn’t be so alone. Seeing a familiar face at all would be better than sitting remembering all her happy memories. Velvet pawed at the ground and released another sigh. Suddenly, she remembered stories her pack had once told her. There was a land, the perfect place for wolves so live in harmony. She didn’t know where it was, or how far it was, but she knew she had to get there. The Valley of Hope was it’s name. She knew of it through rumour only, never having met a wolf who’d been there, but it was her best chance at building a new life. Though she could hardly bare to think of it, she knew in her heart that that’s what she needed to do. If she had any chance of survival, of carrying on her old pack’s legacy, she had to find a new home. The wolf stood and raised her muzzle high, releasing a mournful howl. The song was beautiful and heart wrenching. Anyone listening would know that this wolf had seen recent tragedy and had yet to recover. The howl was for her pack, her past, and when it ended she was set on looking to the future. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/07/15 by Rusty [MP] (Quad celestial) (#39276) |

Remington || Male || 4 years || Undecided rank Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington was always used to being on his own. After his father had died from a fire and his mother left him to die from sorrow he has been on his own. He has never had a friend in the world, he has never even see another wolf in his life, but was born to lead them. As many are suffering, and drowning in sorrow because of the results of the earthquake he lays just fine under a large shady tree out of the sun. Flies kept swarming his face, so he lay there trying to swat them with his tail, annoyed, irritated, tired whatever you want to call it. The sun was beating down on him and the humidity made his sleek pelt, stick up just like the fur around his throat, you could hear the buzzing beetles in the distance playing there song as the whole forest was silent for any other life other than insects. As he laid there for quite some time he heard a most deep howl in the distance which sounded as if it had come from downstream. He lifted his head up high as his ears flickered listening, for any other sign that there was still life after the earthquake. He laid there for a while, but nothing after that howl had he had heard anything else but the insects once again. His tail kept patting the ground as he debated whether or not he should howl back. He rested his head back down onto the ground and sighed slowly dazing off to sleep. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/07/15 by Nature Paw (#64491) |

Twist || Female || 4 Years || Omega Twist stands in her pack's densite, staring at the damages. There was a rock the size of a wolf laying on top of the reminants of the den, blood soaking the ground around it. It appeared to have crushed the pack while it was still sleeping, leaving nothing but crimson liquid and limbs sticking out at odd angles. Their Alpha had gotten out... Only to have a tree fall onto him. His glassy, lifeless eyes staring strait at Twist. She lets out a cold laugh, grinning. These wolves got what was coming to them. After all those years of abuse, finally they were dead. Her smile fades, replaced by a vacant frown. But wasn't this her fault? All of this death? Her pack had told her that her birth spelled the end of them. Was this what they were referring to? Her gaze looks about once more, her one blind, cloudy eye as useless as ever. The tailless female turns away, raising her head to the fading moon. She lets out a long, beautiful howl to signal the death of her pack. However unpleasant her appearance, her voice had always been a thing of soft beauty. It wasn't a sad cry, but it was far from a joyous one. She sits back on her rump, deep in thought as to what to do next. She had heard some of the wolves in her pack telling stories of a safe haven known as the Vally of Hope. She knew only of stories, but the place was rumored to be true. She stands, her decision made. She would go to this place, and perhaps have a better life than one of horrible torture. No, she would not. She deserved all of the wounds and verbal abuse she could get. She wasn't a creature who could be given kindness. This is what her pack had decided, this is what she was. A thing. Not a wolf, not a living canine, she was an inanimate thing. And that was what she would always be. Lyall || Male || 3 Years || Undecided Lyall slumps to his belly, whining with his ears pressed to his head. Dead. They were all dead. His pack mates... His father, his sister, his mentor. All of them were gone. In one violent shake of the earth, all of their lives were taken. He should have known when the birds abandoned the forest that something bad was about to happen. How could they all just die? But they had. Not a single wolf save himself had survived. The den had come down on top of itself, burying them all alive. Lyall had desperately dug through the dirt and rocks, only to find his entire pack gone. All that was left were lifeless bodies. He had gone out that morning to hunt a few rabbits for his sisters, just like every morning, and had succeeded. Just as he was headed back, the earthquake had started. He had been knocked from his paws, and by the time he had made it back to the camp it was too late. His eyes brimming with tears, Lyall shakes his head to rid himself of his emotions. He picks up his two kills he had made, and sets out. He had heard several howls, so he knew there were at least a few wolves still alive. Perhaps they knew where to go. He had heard of a place he could go, called the Vally of Hope. But he didn't want to go there alone. He needed a pack. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dementris|Female|3.8 years|Omega Sitting beside a fallen tree, Dementris looked awkwardly at the damage displayed around her.She had been thinking for hours, trying to piece together the uneventful day and what caused this terrible disaster.Everything around her was broken or misplaced, even the ground was slightly split and layered with new rough terrain.Giving up on her useless thoughts, Dementris stood and turned, heading towards a nearby river that had also been damaged by this horrible event. Reaching the waters edge, she sat down, glaring at the now muddy stream with an infuriated glare. She should've taken the birds warning and abandoned the forest. She took a few minutes to gather herself before doing more thinking.Dementris knew she wouldn't survive by herself, she was already nearly starved.Standing with a more determined glare formed in her olive orbs, she tilted her head back, letting a loud and harmonizing howl fill the forest, hoping that anyone could hear it. 0 players like this post! Banshee || Female || 3 Years || Undecided Her head was lifted, ears perked directly forward as she waited and listened for any sound of life. The sound of rushing water however seemed to engulf her as she made her way through the now so familiar trees. The she's paws were caked with mud, the normally glistening white now a broken mess of browns and grays. Of course Banshee couldn't care less about what she looked like right now, she couldn't even see herself, however besides her paws the rest of her body was the gorgeous snow white she was born with. It wasn't exactly the color a wolf would want when the frost went away and forest shades were you primary need in life, yet she couldn't care less, all she wanted was a family to thrive with. Banshee was never used to being alone and now that she was the fear was starting to set in, though she didn't let it show on her face. The paranoia of not knowing how well she could make it on her own was the only thing ripping through her thoughts. Would she be able to hunt her own food every day? Could she fight off creatures putting her in danger? Would she be able to make it past lonely feelings..? These were all things she thought about day in and day out. Shivering her sightless eyes stayed locked in front of her as she sat on a tree stump, her tail settling itself just off the edge while her fur puffed up to keep in the heat. Oh yea, she needed a home to call her own. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Luna|Female|1 year|Pup Luna was tired, but needed to find others soon or she would surely die of starvation. Her mother always told her that following a body of water will always lead you to what you need, so the stream she followed. She glanced off and on at the rushing stream seeing small fish swimming happily with families making her was a family even more. She whimpered as she dragged her paws through the dirt making her way upstream. Luna's head was low almost dragging on the ground when she smelled something odd. She lifted her head high and her ears forward. She was using all of her energy she had left just to do this. She smelled a wolf. she kept sniffing the air trying to imagine what the wolf looked like. She got that it was a strong male wolf nearby and quickly picked up a canter in the direction of the smell. As she neared close to the smell she slowed to a walk and kept sniffing being cautious of her surroundings nervous. She was still young and vulnerable, but yet without help she was dead anyway right? From afar she saw a wolf under a tree fast asleep. He sure looked handsome, he had an odd color coat much different than many wolves, his tail flicked a bit trying to rid of flies. Luna pondered the idea of approaching him, but she did so slowly anyway. She stood about three feet away from this wolf and waited until he would get her scent and wake up. She tried to hide her scent of fear, but her scent of illness was much stronger. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Remington || Male || 4 years || Undecided rank Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington started snarling feeling the presence of a wolf over him, but then he took a moment to smell and realized it was a young female and opened his eyes would to see a scraggy female pup in front of him. He stretched out his paws and stood shaking out his fur not taking his eyes of the female before him. He walked around her smelling the humid air that was present making every smell ten times stronger. He wanted to test her and sharply barked at her flashing his teeth before her and just watched her flinch a little and quietly yelp. It was obvious this poor thing needed help, but wanted to properly meet her first so he went back in front of her and stood boldly hold his head high puffing his chest out. "What is your name young pup?" he asked hoping she would not be to scared to answer. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyall || Male || 3 Years || Undecided Lyall starts forward, his nosing working to distinguish scents in the cool morning air. He had to take charge of the situation, just as he was trained to. True leaders didn't sit around waiting for others to find them, they found others. He knew that he needed to find more wolves to form another pack, that some wolves wouldn't do well on their own. After what seemed like hours of walking and running, he finally catches the scent of another wolf. She smelled as though she wasn't far off, either. The large male wolf picks up the pace greatly, his massive body stretching and bunching as he lopes through the forest foliage of ferns and weeds. He stops, his eyes focusing on a bright white she-wolf sitting proudly atop a tree stump. He cautiously makes his way from the camouflage of the forest into a small, bright clearing. He clears his throat, making his prencence known. This wolf seemed no different from any other, but there was something off about the way she was just staring, as though she couldn't see. Maybe she couldn't. "Hello, Miss. My name is Lyall." He greets, his deep voice quite sure and unwavering. He stands strait, his tail curled over his back slightly and his head high. This wolf knew he was a dominant, and his very exsistance showed it. Edit: just taking care of a mistake ^^' 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/07/15 by JayKat [The Hoodie Whore] (#41384) |

Luna ||Female || 1 year || Pup "My name is Luna, I am sorry to bother you but I need help. In the earthquake I lost everything like most others have around us. I am still young as I am sure you can see and was not taught to tend for myself yet. I am weak and would like to ask for help, in return I will offer my services. You seem like a bold wolf, smart, and I want to ask you to be the alpha to lead me to health and a better life." Luna stood there realizes how much she just spat out at the wolf standing in front of her. Nervous she shook wondering what he would say. He wasn't responding so sh rambled on some more. "Have you heard of the Valley of Hope? It is said to be a place where all wolves live in peace and harmony, where no wrong can be done. I want to travel there maybe find other survivors, please answer me!?" She started forcing herself onto him and realized this could upset him and lowered her head and back up a few steps. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Banshee || Female || 3 Years || Undecided She had need settled for not all too long before the sound of twigs snapping caused her ears to flicker back and forth. She didn't waver her gaze, only allowed the creature to come closer. Soon enough Banshee could tell it was in fact another wolf, and of course by that time he had already opened his jaws to speak. She turned her head slowly, letting her sightless clouded blue eyes fall upon the wolf, or where she assumed he was. "Lyall..." She started, allowing the name to roll off her tongue, the sound as smooth as honey. "It is very nice to meet you Lyall, My name is Banshee." While Banshee couldn't see him whatsoever this did not stop her from pretending she could. The wolf resembled much of a ghost, fitting for her name, though there was an obvious confidence about her. She held herself high and tall, she didn't shy away from the male r show any submissive nature to him. There was not even the slightest hint that she would bow down to others. "What brings you to me, might I ask?" She hopped down off of the tree stump to face him, curiosity obvious in her features, though she still gave the blank sightless stare she forever would. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Velvet || Female || 4 years || Undecided rank Velvet’s appearance The silky furred femme sat alone in her sadness, knowing she should start moving on but not quite able to bring herself to do so. A light breeze caressed her pelt, bringing with it the warm hints of spring and a scent so familiar yet unknown. It was another wolf. Excitement coursed through her as she stood up quickly and made straight for the scent. Following the water upstream, a slight skip in her step, she pranced straight into the area of a large male wolf and a young adolescent. The male was very handsome, a unique pelt the likes of which she’d never seen before, and she stared for a moment, transfixed. The adolescent was scrawny and covered in dirt, reeking of illness. Velvet’s tail dropped and her ears fell, disappointment coursing through her. ”I’m so sorry,” she said mournfully, ”I thought you might be…but no.” She couldn’t bring herself to say ‘my pack’. It hurt too much, particularly after the moment of joy she felt thinking that one of her pack mates had survived. About to turn away, the femme had a sudden thought. If she was going to make it to the Valley she wouldn’t be able to do it alone, at least not without losing her looks and health on the way. She looked back to the other adult, whose head was held high and chest was puffed. He was a healthy looking wolf, making her curious as to why the youngster with him was so unwell. Cocking her head to the side, she spoke, ”I don’t mean to intrude, but I didn’t realise there were other wolves here.” After all, this tiny bit of woodland with the trickle of water that could barely be called a stream was hardly good den site material. The beautiful wolf looked curiously at the pup as she spoke, realising that the two weren’t a pack. ”What are the chances of three lone wolves meeting at once?” she chuckled, then stopped. Of course after the earthquake there would be many more lone wolves than usual. ”I’m sorry. That was...I spoke without thinking.” She turned to the adolescent, who had introduced herself as Luna. ”The Valley of Hope? I was going to head there myself.” Velvet turned again to the male, hope slowly entering her heart for the first time since she lost everything. This male was strong, would be a good wolf to travel with. ”May I join you two?” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dementris|Female|3.8 years|Omega Walking along the rivers edge, Dementris felt quite weak, despite her masculine appearance. Her ribs were noticeable through her shaded brown pelage and her body thin.Ignoring the hunger rumbling inside her stomach, she continued her journey down the rivers edge until she noticed faint scents of others who had followed this trail to.Dementris quickened her pace,a faint glimmer in her eyes. Finally reaching a spot where the scents were stronger, Dementris glanced around not seeing any of her species. Lyall || Male || 3 Years || Undecided Ranking The russet male takes in Banshee's words and her cloudy, sightless eyes. So this wolf was indeed blind. He racks his mind for a suitable response to her question. "I figured you may want a traveling companion, seeing as you are all alone. Alone isn't a bad thing, of course, but two wolves are better than one." He explains, his smooth voice keeping to it's original patterns, no amount of hesitation able to be heard at any point in his words. "It is lovely it meet you, Banshee. If I may say so, your fur is very beautiful." He compliments, taking another few steps towards the female wolf and away from the shade of the forest. He had high hopes to make this wolf his traveling companion. Not because he thought she needed help, but because he thought that she would truly make an interesting and, hopefully, wonderful friend. Besides for that, what male wolf didn't want the company of such a gorgeous female? Her blindness made no difference in his wishes. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shaya|Female|3 Years|Omega The earthquake had made no impact on her whatsoever, other than to tell her she was to move along. Shaya's red-brown fur was glistening in the sun as she moved off from her old, collapsed, den. The red wolf had a deformed paw and spine, but she was still quite a pretty female. However, this female was paying no attention to her footsteps. The bad paw caught in a tangle of poker vines and brambles, and she barked loudly in pain before quieting herself. The paw was stuck. Trying to pull it out yielded no result, and she whimpered. It stung, and Shaya could feel blood running down it. She let her ears lay back and sat down, trying to work through it although her spine was hurting and her paw was too. A female like her would never find a mate, not with her defects. She was unlovable. Not even her mother had wanted her. 0 players like this post! Like? |
