I know this may have been suggested, and it may not be a well taken suggestion. But I would suggest making there an option to select, and of course deselect, when creating a new thread, that allows the author to be notified by PM, and maybe those subscribed.

I say this because a lot of the threads I post, and one of them being an auction thread, people reply and I do not notice it till much later.

Sure I am subscribed, but I am doing other things and it slips my mind. I would like for there to be an option to receive a PM about it.

And said PM would read, maybe: "You have a new reply on your thread titled "thread title here". Click here to view it!" Or something along those lines.

It could be selected for smaller threads, like small auctions, or RPs, or Interest threads. And not have to be selected for larger threads, like games or big sales threads. And this could be made for author and those who reply.

And it could be deselected later if the thread gets to active and big, so save you the hassle of getting PM after PM about the threads replies.

Would this be a worthwhile endeavour? I think it would be. (Possibly though, just in theory. IDK.)
