So, I have wanted to do a shadowhunter RP for a long long time, but I haven't met that many people who'd want to do it. I was thinking a small group 3-5 characters that were best friends. And then have a few mundanes or downworlders? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. The RP would be taking after the idea of The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, and all of the books related that were written or are being written by Cassandra Clare. Post here if you'd be interested or if you have any suggestions! Name- Gender- Age- Species- Pic/Desc.- Other~ The RP takes place in York London. The plot doesn't follow along with TMI or TID. It is neither before nor after. It is like the wars never existed. Thank you! Jack~Shadowhunter When Jack got no response from the household, he started walking back to the institute. He would be back to check in on the house. He didn't think it was uninhabited. He made it to the institute in good time and went into his room, shutting the door behind him, and then remembering Kade. She took it a bit far, blaming him. He didn't even know what he did to make her go psycho. She was the one doing the wrongs, he was just trying to govern the institute while his parents were gone. They should be back tomorrow or the next day, he believed. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Kade woke in her tree again, and just like the previous morning, she washed as much as she could. Unlike yesterday, she was starving, so she began to forage for edible plants. Soon, she was holding her shirt so she could carry all of the berries and nuts she had found. Kade had some money but not a lot and she didn't want to waste it. Her resolve was still as iron; she would not go back. She still felt the shock of being somewhere new all of a sudden, the crushing loss of her grandparents, and now all Jack wanted to do was fight with her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Kade's phone lit up and she reflexively checked it. Hmm. Well, she didn't want to go back to the Institute yet. It was very similar to her home and she had realized that it was a part of why she wasn't happy in York. So she texted Jack, I'm in the park, eastern shore of the pond. There was no way in hell she was having a conversation like that over text. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jack/Shadowhunter Jack groaned. He went to his room and got his light jacket and threw it on, heading to the park is what he was going to do, he guessed. He headed out the institute and started walking to the park. It was dreary out like always. Clouds cluttered the sky, and it was muggy. He didn't like being outside too much unless he was on a mission. He would rather be killing demons, or training. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Kade, while she waited, was engaged in yoga. A mundane thing, but she found that it centered her and improved her balance. The teen flowed smoothly from pose to pose on the soft carpet of leaves. There weren't that many pine trees here, which she was still getting used to. It was one more thing to hate about York. Some part of her just wanted to pack up and go to Idris, find her parents, and scream at them for just abandoning her here. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jack~Shadowhunter Jack, hands stuffed a mile deep into his pockets found Kade, doing yoga. He walked over to her, and sat down under a nearby tree, looking off into the distance. He didn't know what to say, so he just didn't say anything. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Five minutes passed while Kade finished her set and stood upright. Her small pile of fruit and nuts was on a large, broad leaf, and she scooped up and handful before going to where Jack sat at the base of a tree. Without saying anything, she seated herself across from him and held out her hand, offering some berries. The silence was heavy, like the air before a summer thunderstorm. Kade could have probably cut it with a knife. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jack~Shadowhunter Jack shook his head. "No thanks," He said, finally breaking the silence. "So, I'm here. What do you want to talk about?" Jack said, acting oblivious. Why did he have to go to her? Why couldn't she be at the institute? Why couldn't Kade act like a Shadowhunter? Jack was getting annoyed at the air Kade had about her that she didn't want to be where she was. She never seemed happy anymore. She drank more, and did less, and Jack wished he was eighteen so he could leave this hell hole called York and go away. Maybe to America, or France, or even Japan or China. He'd learned all of the languages, knew formal from casual, masculine feminine, manners. He looked at Kade, a blank expression on his face. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Kade sighed and popped the berries into her mouth, chewing without tasting. Once her mouth was empty, she slipped her dagger out and began to use it to clean under her nails. "I am upset with you because I hate it here so much. It's cold and rainy and dark all the time. And I'm trying to adjust but all you're doing is picking fights with me. Do you think that I normally drink so much? I don't. But every morning I wake up and I have no idea where I am and every morning it hits me like a truck that my parents just dumped me in this hellhole with no explanation, and that my grandparents are never coming back. My only remaining family is my parents and they don't even want me," she said. "Maybe if I do something bad enough, the Clave will make them come back and take me home," Kade whispered. "Do you know what that feels like, to have your parents just abandon you with this family you don't even know? Like you were some pet that they couldn't take with them when they moved, so they just gave you away?" She was trying to explain why she was so angry with the world, and found the source of her rage: her parents. They hadn't been too involved with her life before her grandparents died, but afterwards, she had expected them to at least love her like parents were supposed to. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jack~Shadowhunter Jack sodtened his voice. "To some extent," he said. "I've never been to Idris, my parents take in 'orphans', though I wouldn't quite call them that, but in these circumstances, yeah." He said. It seemed like he had a new family every month, and his parents weren't even there half of the time. "The only thing you will regret, is not seeing the good." Jack said. "I've never quite like York, but I stay here because everyone is always friendly and respectful. They unbreaking sky never fails to be cloudy so you know you can't be tan, but the knowledge is invaluable. The buildings in all of England are beautiful with views seen no where else!" Jack said, his voice quickening a bit. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter Kade just shook her head. "Yeah, sometimes it can be beautiful, but nothing here will ever be able to hold a candle to a proper southern sunset, or the flowers that were everywhere," she whispered. "And I wouldn't call this 'friendly and respectful'. Southern manners is a thing, you know. People in the northern parts of the U.S. are kinda rude, but you're hard-pressed to find a hateful soul where I'm from," she continued. "even the Downworlders were nice, really. I had a few werewolf friends and they'd invite me to their houses all the time for lunch or dinner. That was how I kept up with all the rumors of the Downworld. It was too bright for vampires, but we had a couple that survived off of animal blood. They worked as butchers and taxidermists, because so many people hunted. They'd get a deer, drink it dry, clean and butcher it, then they'd stuff it for you. The fey were everywhere, and I even met the Seelie Queen a few times. She was like all fey are, but she never did anything too bad unless she felt it was needed." Kade had no idea why she was rambling like she was, about her home, but she couldn't seemed to make herself stop. "We only really had three seasons. It was summer most of the time, and it only snowed once a year, if at all. We did have demons sometimes, but it was easy to find them and destroy them. I had a lot of time for training because we weren't always on missions. There was always something for me to do, though, and if I didn't have anything, I'd go read, or I'd go talk to some of the Downworlders I could always find. One of the werewolf pups, she couldn't have been more then eight, would make me flower crowns, every week, a different sort of flower. And when she ran out of flowers, she cried. The next day, I took her a real crown. More of a circlet, really, but my grandfather had wanted me to practice blacksmithing or something, so I made it for her. She wore it every day." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jack-Shadowhunter Jack was silent as he listened. How had she met the Seelie Queen was at the top of his mind. She rarely ever showed herself and even when she did it was only in situations of utmost importance. "Home sickness is something that can't be remedied by others, really. We have to accept it." Jack shrugged, his voice soft again. He smiled and leaned over, putting his right hand on Kades right shoulder. "I'm always here if you need to talk. I can't promise a good response," and his grin widened. "But I'm still here." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Shadowhunter "Yeah," Kade said. "Well . . . I heard something about a werewolf pack yesterday. Went to go see them . . . A pup was learning control and they promised nothing would happen. Talked with their alpha a bit and I felt better afterwards." She wasn't sure how to explain why she liked the company of Downworlders so much, but she may as well give it a shot. "I like Downworlders because I don't have to pretend to be a mundane. They know exactly what I am, and I don't feel like I have to hide," she said, automatically reaching up with her left hand to cover his where it rested on her shoulder. 0 players like this post! Jack-Shadowhunter Jack nodded. He looked down quickly as his stomach growled. He cracked a grin. "I guess we need to go see some downworlders. I hear there is this hut that sells the best-the BEST!- breakfast in town." Jack said. 0 players like this post! Like? |
