Staff ListStaff List & Contact info Staff ResponsibilitiesAdminsAdmins are staff members with complete control over Lioden, as they run the game. Their decisions are final, and they oversee everything other staff members do. The admins' duties have no boundaries, but they are set to focus on certain areas in order to not overload themselves; however, if something occurs, they can step in and assist with anything. Abbey (#1) - Coder, Developer, and Owner. Duties among others: bug fixing, monthly big updates, new features, scanning Game Development forums for ideas. Kitty (#2) - Coder, Developer, and Owner. Duties among others: handles issues with the game or staff, as well as manages the support email. All issues with accidental item purchases, errors with birthdays or birthday decors, NCL auto-claims, PayPal problems, refunds, wrong lion bases, etc. should be directed to the Modbox. Please do not contact an admin directly about these issues - you will just be redirected to the Modbox. ModeratorsModerators are anonymous volunteers. They have no control over the game, its coding, or its rules - they only moderate the chat, community, forums, and the game's players. They enforce the rules that they have been given, and follow certain protocols set by the game's owners. Occasionally, due to unusual circumstances, certain warning orders have to be skipped. Such circumstances are overseen by the admins, and will be handled at the discretion of Lioden's admin and moderator team. Moderator Duties * Clean and delete chat comments that have been flagged for our attention. * Clean and delete threads that are flagged for deletion. * Clean duplicated Game Development suggestion threads. * Establish trading embargoes between players that break our funneling rules, show high transfer activity, or have too many accounts on the same IP address. * Give IP exceptions to players within the same household, or sharing a public IP address. * Handle Modbox issues. * Help with player quarrels if they cannot be solved on their own. * Issue immediate help if a player is harassed or in distress. * Investigate art theft reports. * Investigate multiple accounts on the same IP address. * Lock threads that are suspicious for further investigation. * Move threads to hidden forums for storage purposes. * Move threads to their proper (sub)forums, if needed. * Remind, warn, and/or suspend players that break rules. * Report bugs to the site coders, and clean multiple reports on the same bug. * Scan and moderate the forums, posting reminders, and editing/removing irrelevant posts, if needed. * When informed, make notes on accounts, such as "This is #ID's sister", etc. A moderator's work is voluntary, and there is no payment given, or in-game gratification for doing so. ArtistsCurrently, Lioden is not hiring any artists. If we require artists at any time, we will put out notices that we are hiring and accepting applications. Artist Duties * Draw art for new features, events, and updates. * Draw new stages, poses, and mutation art for lions. * Draw and release new backgrounds, banner art, decors, and NPC art. * Draw and release new bases, markings, noses, eyes, and manes. * Draw and release new explore encounters. * Handle missing or broken art bug reports. * Redirect art suggestions to the Game Development forums and Game Art subforums. * Release new items (unless they're in the "Gameplay" category, which requires coder assistance). Staff RecruitmentThe moderator position on Lioden is permanently open for applications (https://www.lioden.com/mod-application.php), though we ask any potential applicants to keep in mind that we hire on our own terms. The staff of a business that is so heavily focused on community interaction is something that we put a lot of trust in. * Potential players are always observed, and their behaviour is noted - sometimes for a short period of time, other times longer, depending on the situation or their personality. * The site admins pick the site's moderators. It is not an election, and players are not able to suggest each other; however, we do value good general opinions that players have about people we're interested in. * The site admins have their own requirements, among which attitude towards other players and staff members play the main role. Being respectful, kind, and patient is the main key. This, along with no prior warnings on an account's history, is what usually decides who we hire. * We do not want to reveal our processes and requirements due to players acting solely to get hired. We do not want "thirst for power" taking over sincere intentions. Attention, Players! There is a thing called "mini-modding", and we would like to explain how to prevent it here. When players spot a broken rule or a thread getting out of hand, the best thing to do is not to post a reply, but to immediately screenshot offensive text if possible and report the thread or chat comment to the Modbox, where staff will handle it. Mini-modding happens when a player takes things into their own hands without knowing the protocol (for example, publicly calling someone's actions out for everyone else to see) rather than reporting it to the Modbox for a Moderator or Admin to handle. It is staff's duty to handle corrections and behaviours. Mini-modding has caused many instances of rulebreaking threads to be removed and erased by the OP (original poster) before Moderators were informed about the rulebreak, making us unable to warn the OP, or even follow our protocols, which include simple reminders, locking the thread for investigation, or notes being taken. We do appreciate all reports, and any assistance you are providing to newer players! <3 3 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/11/24 @ 13:13:41 by Xylax (#4) |
