Halfblooded~ Some human's were just born this way, others were forced, some were accepted. These human's aren't completely human. They are part animal. The animal they turn into is their INNER ANIMAL. Some human's are part bird, part bear, part wolf, part horse. These 'humans' are shape-shifters. Not everyone started like that, though. Some people are trialed to be one, some people steal a serum that makes them halfblooded. Some people are forced to take the serum. But they all have one thing in common. They were all sick. It all started when mad scientist Dr. Corvelis mixed up blood and a toxin. He gave the toxin to a patient with cancer and the next morning, she was fine. They thought it was a break through, so they gave it to as many people that could afford this pricey drug. What they didn't know, was that the toxin changes the person into an animal. They start to blend with a certain animals' thoughts, they get their senses. Sometimes, they turn into the animal and never return. Over years, a school has been formed to tame these beasts inside of people. The school is called "The Academy" by the students. The original name has been lost in time. Halfblooded people from all over the world come here to unlock their beast side and tame it. After you school here, you should be able to become your inner animal whenever you choose to. You get the animal's senses, looks, and thoughts. You can be a student, a teacher, someone going through the process, or a thief. If your parents were Half&Human, you most likely didn't find your ability until late teens(15+) If parents were Half&Half, you probably first turned when you were between 5-10. If you took the serum, you turned a few days later. There are rules, but not too hard to follow. 1- Follow Lioden Rules 2-On the top of every post put Name-Gender-Animal, except with your names. (Ex- Miley-32-Cat) 3- 3+ sentences please. 4- If rules are not followed you get a strike 3 total strikes. 5-In other, type Following Footsteps so I know you read the rules. 6- If you do not respond in four days, you get a PM asking if you are still in. If you don't respond in a WEEK and have not INFORMED me of it, you get a strike. If you do not respond in TWO WEEKS you are kicked out. 7- You must tell me if you are dropping/won't be able to reply for a certain number of days. 8- 3 characters MAX 9- Keep cursing to the minimum. 10-Try to stay updated with this thread, I may add new rules, new people may join, and stuff of the sorts. Conner-Male-Grizzly Conner got on all fours. He growled at the now deer. "Cute, huh?" Something said. A deep growl eminated from Conner's vocals. He was struggling. Griz was taking control. Conner breathed in, and out. He grinned a tothy grin, and played it off as a joke. He didn't think anyone knew he'd lost control, he acted like he's mad on an average basis. Kaileh-Swan-Female "Sorry for the wait," Kaileh said to her class. She was missing a few of her students. "We will not be shifting today, I want to go over some basics first." She said. She sat on top of her desk. Whoever was late, was late. ![]() Edited on 05/08/15 by Jacques CP Faircross (#47535) |

Bea - Female - Moon Bear Bea looked up as her teacher spoke. She was a little disappointed about not shifting today, but maybe they'd shift tomorrow. She was still a little tired. She hadn't slept well last night, Maybe a review is better - I'm too tired to shift today anyways. ![]() |

Nikki McCuri ~ Female ~ Student/Beginner ~ Raven Nikki watched the teacher change without a word. She'd already seen a cheetah; this deer-bunny thing wasn't too scary, or so she thought. She was sure it could do some damage, but also sure that the teacher had full control. It was the students she was worried about. Silently, she thanked herself that she had a creature who could fly away. A thought popped into her head and she raised her hand. It felt weird, to just stick her arm in the air. ![]() |

Sid - Male - Patagonian Mara Sid watched Nikki's hand go up into the air. 'Yes, Nikki. What is your question?" He didn't expect Nikki to raise her hand. Honestly, he thought she was going to just sit at the back of the class and not say anything. I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover.. ![]() |

Kaileh-Teacher-Swan-Female Kaileh scanned the class. "It looks like it's just you and me, Bea. Are there any questions for me before we start?" Kaileh asked. Why is my group so small today? She asked herself. She was missing Light, Storm, Aleah, and Zoe. It was just her and Bea. As if her class wasn't small enough. She might shift just to give Bea the upper hand, but she won't. Swan didn't like the decision Kaileh came to. Mentions-class Actions-just talking Other- Where is my class?!?!? ![]() |

Nikki McCuri ~ Female ~ Student/Beginner ~ Raven "Yeah, uh," Good thing you don't have social anxiety, dork, she thought to herself. "What if someone were to change into an animal that usually hangs out with other animals?" She brought her hand down, forgetting it was raised. "Like, birds, or, fish, or something." A fish. Poor unfortunate soul who could turn into a fish. A smile threatened to pierce her lips as she thought of a first-year student trying to calm down to change back into a human, while his animal couldn't breath. "What does 'The Academy' do to make the animal feel more at home, even when it's all alone? Or worse, all alone and surrounded by predators?" She liked her inner raven. It didn't try to get out much, as it was a relatively weak bird, although it did encourage her to be more social than she generally enjoyed. ![]() |

Zoe Travis-Female-Artic Fox Zoe had gotten lost in the academy. Of course, she didn't look at it like that, she'd rather say she was exploring. No matter what she called it, it didn't change the fact that Zoe had managed to get lost. After roaming around for a bit, she finally found her classroom. She walked in with a smile. "Sorry I'm late!" She apologized before sitting down. "So what'd I miss?" ![]() |

Sid - Male - Patagonian Mara Sid sat on the edge of his desk, thinking. "You know, Nikki, I really don't know. I don't work in administration, but I think they try to pair up animals like that. I honestly don't know how to answer that question, though. I can ask around later for you, and get back to you on that if you'd like." Sid looked around the class. "Any more questions before we take notes?" Bea - Female - Moon Bear Bea shook her head. She didn't have any questions. She laid her head on her hands. She wondered when the other students would show. ![]() |

(Serelin, Sure xD Leopard has to eat though, or it'll gobble up the closest thing .-.) Leopard || Hungry || Tired || Arn Remaining hidden by the trees, panting as it looks as the darned wolf. Wanting to take up the chase but needing to eat. A growl rolled through its lips as it turned on the heel and raced off into the forest, tracking the small deer it had caught scent of earlier. Hunger... The hunger... Even Arn was feeling it, and he was getting distressed. It was a bother, really. Tracking it down, it tore it open and ate it hungrily, not caring of the mess it left behind. Yawning, it curled together by the remains, feeling sleep catch up with it. Arn stirred. Let me out. He had been numbed and shocked for the last hours, and it had felt him slowly start to fade, like the prolonged loss of control cost him much more than a few evaded bruises. It just purred, pretending not to hear him. He wasn't going to get anywhere. NOW. Bothersome human, give up. You stand no chance against me, you never did. It is your turn to be captured for a few years. It channeled this to Arn with a certain carefreeness that was designed to make him settle down and stop bothering. It yawned again and rested its head on its paws. Seems Arn would miss class. A bellow and surge in Arn's consciousness stormed to the surface, so quick and strong that it made it leap up. Let me out, NOW!!! The shout was terrifying, and showed every bit of the slight madness seeping into his being. The small crack opened to maintain the contact was forced open, cracking and expanding and bending until he pressed out a little. It clamped down on him, cutting him off. The weak boy had done it, it had made it upset. But before it could probably lock him down, he charged again, and the crack shattered. A scream, as primal as the leopard was, arose. First silent, subdued, then growing in strength until Arn's consciousness grew with it. The leopard snarled and stretched as Arn grabbed for the ropes of control. It pawed and clawed and charged at him, but he was somehow stronger. Its knees bent, stretching is neck to feign him off, but he rose, stronger and stronger. The fur vanished first. It shrieked and yowled as its paws and legs melted to the structure of human arms, human legs. It was every bit as painful as the very first transformation, almost more, as they were fighting each other with everything they had. the face and body came slowly, but inevitably. "Curse... You..." It spat out as the half-human body shook and spasmed. The leopard drew back, snarling and growling terribly, all the while using the last remains of its claws to scratch Arn's body, harming him as much as possibly, all about it focused on causing him pain, distress, cripple him. "......aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!" Arn screamed as the last bits of the leopard withdrew, still snarling and clawing. Powerful sobs shook his body, and he curled into a tight ball, holding himself like it would prevent the leopard from ever escaping again. And there he remained until his body no longer shook with sobs. ![]() Edited on 05/08/15 by Sheba (Forever Hufflepuff) (#52208) |

Lilith|Female|Raccoon Lilith watched her roomate leave, then got to work. Her inner animal loves to prank people, and it was a fun way to get in control. Digging theough her bag, she pulled put her clear packing tape, deciding to start small. She placed a few strips of the tape towards the bottom of the doorframe so when Sammy walked in, she would trip. Just incase her friend was looking down, Lilith did the same to the top of the door frame so it would catch her head instead. After admiring her handy work, Lilith carefully avoided the tape and set out to class. Aleah| Female|Falcon Aleah had managed to leave before class started, reading as she walked. Her book had suddenly gotten very interesting so she stopped. It took her a little bit but she finally managed to finish it. Placing the book in her bag, she checked the time. "Im late!" She shouted, racing to her class. ![]() |

((Do you have Skype, Sheba?)) Mackenzie Bailey Brookes | Timber Wolf | Teacher - Expert | Location: Edge of Academy | Mentioned: Arn The wolf allowed the leopard his moment of angry and justification to hunt; he was probably starving after her wild chase throughout the entire night. The she-wolf picked herself up and proceeded to follow the scent of the leopard. Her muscles rippled under her fur as she grew nearly 3 times her normal size to appear as her human-sized animal self. This didn't do much more than give her height to see what was in front of her and scare off any prey that might see her. She tracked the scent of leopard and blood, her wolf side alerting her that it was a deer who had lost it life and not a human or student. Thanking her, she loped slowly to the sound of a cry. Conformation that it was indeed Arn from his scent, the teacher lingered int the trees a few yards away; she didn't need to interrupt what could very well be an emotional or shocking moment for him. The sobs and distress cries were hard to ignore, so she padded over to the figure of her student. "Are you alright, young cub?" The voice was deeper than Mackenzie's, the soothing ring making it have a wise tone; it must've been the wolf speaking; after all, what else might call him cub? An animal saw a shifter as their animal as it was. Her vocal cords might be Mackenzie's, but it seemed the wolf was taking control of the situation. The she-wolf lair her body down next to Arn, she then proceeded to allow her side to just brush against him; it was what wolves were known to do. If a pack mate was injured they could nurse it, warm it, comfort it, and feed it. Her students were an extension of this pack, so the wolf automatically registered to care for Arn like a pup. "Let us get yo back to the dorms, cub; you need to be treated." The deep golden brown eyes focused on the teen, but they had a fire that said they might force him to comply even if he protested. ![]() |

(Serelin, i do, why?) Arn || Male || Student || Leopard He stopped the rocking motions he had been doing, only realizing he was rocking back and forth now, as a strange voice spoke out; familiar in a way he did not want to remember, and strange in an inhuman way. The voice asked if he was alright. Was he? The answer struck him as pretty obvious. No. No, he wasn't. In his condition, he wondered if he'd ever be all right again. When he didn't answer, it was silent for a while; then he felt soft, warm fur brushing against his side. Any other day he would have shied away from the contact, and labelled it a weak spot, to let himself depend on someone for comfort, but it was strangely calming, and so he allowed it. The strange voice spoke again, and some part deep inside him realized that it was a wise thing to say. He got up mechanically, looking around at the trees but seeing only that; trees, tall brown and green things, ground, with coloured leaves and brown needles. He wasn't seeing any of the memories who were normally associated with the scenery. Glancing down, he saw a wolf, and dimly recognized it as his teacher. ![]() |

((I was wondering if you would like a one on one Rp of any sort, I love your style and character development. If not, I understand. Also, Arn better watch out xD Momma Wolf coming out to start babying him now.)) Mackenzie Bailey Brookes | Timber Wolf | Teacher - Expert | Location: Edge of Academy | Mentioned: Arn She felt the tension ease out of the air just a bit; but the small amount was essential for her wolf. Feeling her natural motions were actually working was a relief. The protective nature and instincts were now allowed to take over by Mackenzie's instructions; the wolf did not mind. She enjoyed freedom, but she knew that this boy needed a sisterly or motherly figure more than a teacher or instructor. What better than a pack animal? Standing up, she kept her size that of a human; which gave her quite the advantage with her idea of transporting this young cub. Although, she wished her brother Rhino was here; he was more appropriate for transportation, he was the size of a cat after all. "Cub, we need to have you returned. I will carry you, so just settle onto my back." The wolf murmured quietly, using her nose to gently press Arn against her shoulder. She had to fight the unhealthy instinct to lick his wounds and carry him by his nape, it wasn't appropriate behavior with a human cub. Lowering her front half, she tried to make it as easy as possible for the boy, but it was rather unorthodox; she was large but she wasn't a horse or mule. ![]() Edited on 05/08/15 by Serelin (#57926) |

(Oh, thanks! That'd be fun ^_^ i'll pm you in the morning as my phone is rapidly dying as i write this x.x bahaha xD) Arn || Male || Student || Leopard He blinked, actually surprised. It drove back the shock a little. "Ride?" He asked blankly, the idea seemed absurd to him. Wolves were not for riding, it might damage their backs. But then again, he didn't think that piece of information was made knowing there were human-sized animals. "I can walk. I have legs too," he said, ever so slightly defensive. Any other time he'd just change into a leopard and run back, but he shied away from the idea like it was a deathly, acidic venom. There was nothing he currently wanted less than to be in that body again. In fact, he just wanted to forget everything about changing, about having an inner beast that was as strong as him after all. And he hadn't ran all that far, max 150 metres; that meant they were just short of 200 metres from The Academy. He could walk that just fine. (Novel chapter length posts are calming down a bit now, it's safe to read xD) ![]() |

((Alrighty~)) Mackenzie Bailey Brookes | Timber Wolf | Teacher - Expert | Location: Edge of Academy | Mentioned: Arn The she-wolf smiled to herself, knowing exactly what might be rushing through the boy's head as she stood normally. Wolves weren't mounts. Her pack instincts were telling her to scoop him up like a pup and take him by force, but she knew that was an even more unorthodox method of traveling with the boy; besides, he had no nape. "You are an injured cub, now climb on before you force me to carry you as a human mother carries their cubs in their arms. Or I can shift and allow Mackenzie to carry you.." She dictated, moving her head to gently butt against his out of comfort and annoyance. Even mothers had limits to their patience, and this cub was stubborn as it is. "Tell me, cub, is it wise to walk through the woods with wounds such as yours while in the morning? It's quite chilly, and your leopard needs to be reprimanded. Depending on a pack is not weakness, you need to learn a saying we wolves teach our young. 'The Strength of the Wolf is the Pack. The Strength of the Pack is the Wolf'," Mackenzie was becoming anxious, classes had started nearly an hour or two ago. The wolf snapped at her to remain calm and quiet, and she proceeded to lower her shoulders again. "Now climb on, it's a short walk with such long legs of mine; I'm sure you're lighter than you look." ![]() |
