New Mane Idea: Half mane. Basically, the bottom half of the neck is short-furred. Front View  Note: This is /NOT/ tsavo. Not even close. It is a almost normal mane, with the under-neck short-furred. The top is NORMAL. A mockup made by Shrodinger's Kit (#12629)  Another mockup, this one is made by ursiday (#66929)  The second is more is more what I had in mind, but I think both would be cool for us short mane lovers <3 |

I think that would actually make an interesting mutation. Sort of like a 'mange' type thing, with a thinning or balding mane. CX  0 players like this post! Like? |

I... think it looks pretty cool, honestly. I don't think it's that unrealistic (see: crested. good lord, crested. where do I even begin). The only thing is that I think Xy said he doesn't really want to do "beards", so it may have to forgo that if it gets implemented. But, I don't have any proof of that so I don't want to try to put words in his mouth :x I might be totally wrong! 0 players like this post! Like? |

If anything, I'd maybe do a Patchy mane where there's spots of normal and very short - along the mange suggested someone earlier mentioned. This way it seems more natural versus like the lion went to the groomers. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I prefer the more natural "spiker" look of the second picture rather than the new mockup. It looks weird and unfitting to me. If it were made to appear more natural I would find it more appealing. The example you provided is looking very odd to me, not enough lion-like. I am on edge with beards for lions, I can see that as a mutation but not a legit mane :x 0 players like this post! Like? |
