"Not so much heard, but inferred," she explained with a brief nod. "Considering your recent closeness with Serkahri, and your sudden inhabitation of the nursery... it was quite obvious." Leaning over, she offered a considerate lick to the female's ear. "Congratulations." Tail wagging gently in the dust, Iah quickly realized she was out of conversational fodder. It wasn't often that she approached others for company, or for an exchange of words. Growing anxious, her fur began to bristle. Beginning to stand, she awkwardly turned her attention elsewhere. "Feel free to request anything of me, if you so desire. Don't strain yourself." With that, she padded away as quickly as she could without losing face, making a bee-line for the safety of her rock.

"Crap!" The male whispered from his place just to the left of Raven and the cougar he had been stalking. It was not his plan to have company on this fight. "Here hoping she moves" Dashing from the foliage and into the cats side, Kiba placed himself in between it and the path back to the pack. Ears back and fangs bared he let himself fall into an old pattern. Letting the world fade into grey and his opponent become the only thing he could 'feel'.

Kashi rolled onto her back, farther away from the male. "My apologies I only meant to warn you. Kiba's just a flirt he wont put up much of a fight for a mate if someone else has eyes on her." Taking note of his dirty fur her began to lick at the white fluff.

Raven looked at the male in alarm, " Who are you?" she asked dodging another swipe from the cougar retaliating, with a swipe of her own catching it by the ear, making it roar and pounce at her. She rolled out of the way and shot the male a glare, " I don't need any help." she growled dodging another blow.

Running after the fleeing cat proved to be a thrill. Its bleeding flank and hurried steps made it easy enough for a cub to chase. Water splashed up around Kiba's paws soaking his fur, but he couldn't feel or hear it. all he could see was the cougar. the brown of her fur the sound of its paws hitting the ground. Nothing else mattered except for the protection of the pack. As the cougar lost its energy it turned to face the male. Not fast enough kitty, Kiba thought. making a beeline for the cats neck, he latched on. Twisting his large frame, Kiba knocked the cat to the ground snapping its neck. After letting it go he trotted back to the pack without a second glace the grey fading form his vision.

Still laying on her back she watched as Raven passed giving a nod to Duke. "if that's her your one lucky dog" Rolling to her feet Kashi shuck her fur and stood up to her full large height. "She's a sight for sore eyes"

She looked back wondering if she should go back out, her anger still not quelled. she padded to her special stop again slipping into the shadows and noticed for the second time today that when she enters them they began to lengthen surrounding her coating her black fur. she smiled then rested her head in her paws watching the camp.

And thank you for the help back there," She said looking over at the dead cougar, " but i really didn't need it, i had it handled." she looked back towards the deer, " now if you don't mind, I have to get this deer back to my pack,"

Makeera//Female//3 yrs 1 month yrs//Alpha female

Makeera awoke, hearing the growl of a cougar. Sleepily she walked out, noticing the cougar. Makeera snarled as she went into a defense pose. She neared it, attempting to intimidate it. The cougar, not impressed, let out a snarl, lunging at Makeera. The alpha slashed her claws at its neck attempting to either kill it or make it run away. it put up a good fight, but finally too many scratches and bites at the neck and chest sent ti fleeing. Makeera huffed as it ran away. She was injuried, which meant a trip to the healer. She didn't care about the rumors about Nova, and even if she really did kill her mate, it may have been for a good reason. And so, she padded off to the healer's den. "Hi Nova, a cougar walked into our territory, and I got into a fight with it. Is there anything you can do to help heal my wounds? Thanks." she said, as Makeera took a seat on one of the moss beds. The air was fresh with many roots, herbs, powders, spices, and seeds, along with many interesting flowers and plants.

"Oh your welcome, I guess. Its just my job to protect." Standing up again he gave Raven some room. "Mind if I walk with you?" Not wanting to impose more than he already had he didn't offer to carry the deer. If you kill it you should be able to carry. "And I know you could have handled yourself well. I just like the chase."

She nodded, " OK, you can walk with me," Then she turned and walked towards the deer that she had caught, she picked it up then motioned for him to follow her. She set off marveling quietly at how bog he was compared to her. The shadows crept in closer as she neared her, and she figured it was her power manifesting finally. Shadows, it suited her darkfur and personality.

Looking around at the land he had not been able to 'see' earlier, Kiba found the shadows to be odd for the time of day. But he didn't question it. "Winters coming in slow this year. Great for stocking up!" 'If there was ever a moment when I should stop talking it would be now' he thought.

She looked over at him, then down at the deer she was holding in her mouth, hoping he would get the memo, she couldn't talk even if she wanted to. She looked back at the shadows reaching out with her mind for the first time, subconsciously drawing them towards her.

Nova | 4 years ,6 months | Female Healer

Nova admittedly started to worry when Rahese didn't barge in the den spitting mad. It was suspicious and concerning,though Nova was often mysterious and even sometimes scary in truth she cared for all the wolves of her pack even the ones she didn't see eye to eye with,they were the only family she had left other than Ro and she was stuck with the violent and unique lot of them. Sighing Nova knew she would have to go out and find the wounded wolves for herself. It was just like Rahese to be wounded and hiding it for either pride or something else. As for Serkahri Nova did not know why he would not come,none of the wolves in the pack struck her as the kind to avoid the medic den even with her reputation. Nova shook her head they were going to make her round them up.

Starting for the moss covered entrance of the medic den Nova was startled as Makeera rushed through the moss covered entrance smelling of blood. Nova was able jump out of the way with unusual speed, the speckles on her onyx hide flashed and sparkled and the ruff around her neck rose as her emotions swirled dizzyingly within her. Hearing the words Makeera uttered a second later Nova relaxed slightly from her stiff posture. The moss covering over the entrance was healthy for any sick wolves but it was inconvenient in that it muffled almost all the sound of the outside world. Nova usually kept it open unless a wounded wolf was in the medic den, it must have slipped loose while she was arranging the herbs in the correct order. Shaking of the last of her raging emotions Nova nodded her head to the female alpha. The female was one of the few who did not seem to be taken in with the rumors swirling around Nova and Nova had to respect her for that, though that did not mean she was going to act normal around her.

Nova noted with approval that Ro was staring at her latest patient from his high perch with an unblinking gaze as he had been taught to. "Good morning, Makeera let's see what you have gotten yourself into." Nova said in a soft voice that made others pay attention despite it's lack of volume. There was clumps of now dead fur around the wounds on Makeera and when Nova's teeth brushed against it while she gently pulled it off the wounds, she got a flash of recent memories of what had happened to each wound. Cougar she thought, they were getting a lot more brave with the coming of winter. Or perhaps it was desperation...unlike inanimate or dead objects the memories of the trees and other plants were not impersonal and they extended not only to the past but to the future as well. Almost like thinking, though it was to alien to use that particular term. The plants were uneasy though,and it had something to do with the coming winter perhaps the big cats knew something the pack did not.

" I will put some honey on this deep wound on your shoulder,Alpha. The other wounds should heal pretty quick since they are not as deep, though if they give you trouble tell me quick, we do not want infection starting in." Honey was the main tool Nova used when healing wolves not only because it was sticky which would hold a moss cover in place, but it also fought away germs having anti-bacterial properties. "I'm going to ask you to wash the dirt and grime off that wound while I go round up the other wounded wolves before I put the honey on." Nova said, nodding to a small stream of fresh water that flowed from a split in the rock, collecting in a wolf sized basin at the back of the sizable medic den. " I need to talk to you about something after I fix everyone up."

Nova started towards the entrance then paused as if she just remembered something. "And Alpha I'm asking you as healer to restrain yourself in the future when attacking the omegas, no open wounds, if you need to display anger keep it to bruising or find a enemy to tear up. Open wounds lead to infections and disease which could harm the other wolves in the pack especially the pups and elders. Not to mention it uses up valuable resources that should be saved for the hard winter. "Nova said quietly, looking past the alpha, reasoning with the part of the her that cared for the higher ranking wolves. Nova herself judged a wolf on personality not rank and treated them accordingly be the wolf omega or alpha. All got healing despite rank or personality. Nova nodded her head respectfully to the younger wolf knowing the trials and sheer grit it must have taken to reach alpha rank at a relatively young age. Turning Nova exited the medic den, the specks on her hide sparkling like real stars against her onyx fur, her blue eyes glowing slightly a side affect of her first power. She scanned the clearing looking for the wounded as well as Rahese. She was only partially aware of her magpie landing on her head giving off a practiced glare with his black eyes, so focused was Nova on finding the wolves she sought.
