So I'm sure that people have noticed that a lot of times people put lions or items up in trade for less than a day. Well honestly it pisses me off when I spend the time to gather the payment for a trade and go back to find they removed their trade due to impatience because apparently you have 5 minutes to offer on a trade before people get impatient. I suggest a kind of trade lock and limit. You can only have 20 trades in a 30 day period. 10 for lions and 10 for items. This way the trade inflation decreases and people have to carefully consider what they would like to put in trades. I believe this would force people to slow down on breeding as they would not have space to breed Cubs. In turn the lioden economy will decrease and Cubs will be worth more as they are not bred as often. Edit: You can Remove Your Trades at Anytime After putting them Up However the Trade Limit Still Remains and you lose 1 of your 20 Trades for the Month because you already set one up it should count as setting up a trade Regardless if its Removed. Edit: Lions in Trades would Act As Ghosts They Would not Take up Space in your Den but Rather Space in the Trade Center. This would Allow People to Keep their Lions in Trades for longer without having to Cull their Pride. However when A Trade is Expiring you will Get A notice saying something along the lines of "you have 1 Female returning to your territory tomorrow,Would you like to intercept her?". The message then has 3 options "Kill" "Chase" or "Allow the Return". |

Hmm, this seems like a good idea to me, but before I support I'd like to see if anyone has a reason why this wouldn't work ![]() |

Hmm, I don't know if I like this enough to support it. Why not PM the player and ask if they still have the cub you wanted to buy if they have deleted their trade? Or PM them to reserve the cub you want so they DON'T remove the trade? I feel like if there was a limit on how many trades you could make in a month, people would get frustrated with the slower economy and leave. I mean, who's to say that the 20 trades you CAN make would be trades people would buy? Once you realize that nobody actually doesn't wanna buy your NCL-born cub, oh, that's too bad, you can't remove it until 30 days are up. Also, a month is way too long. Cubs would age into adults by the time their trade ends, and that'd make people scramble for either more territory space or some culling of lionesses they might need for breeding purposes or sentimentality reasons or whatever. ![]() |

I agree with Aurielle ^.^' I keep only the cutest of my cubs and put them up for trade, killing them if they are ugly or once they reach two years. I can't afford to continue holding them, and most of my trades go to decor ![]() |

I'm not sure if this would work, but I definetely don't support us being unable to cancel a trace. Aren't we allowed to change our mind? ![]() |

One thing that you have to keep in mind is that players will often clump a large group of items together in a single trade. I've seen many of those, and the trades I like.... I don't want to get ALL of those items. So I PM the seller and ask if I can have this, this, and/or this for ## price. Then they separate those items from the trade, repost the rest that aren't requested in PMs in a single thread, and repeat. Same for lionesses - I've seen as many as 30 lions in a single trade post before - totally crazy. Another thing you have to keep in mind is that someone may have already bought out the trade, be it a quick snab or posting an offer the seller couldn't refuse/immediately took. So it's not always about withdrawing "just because". Sometimes its because the seller made a mistake, or realizes that the buyout value is too high or low. I've had that issue, and if anyone has posted an offer on my trades, I send them a message letting them know that it's still available, but I had to make an adjustment. Then link them to the new trade thread in case they're still interested. Those are just my immediate thoughts, and I agree with some of the ideas up above. I also understand your frustrations - it can be really annoying but I usually find a better deal later :P ![]() |

No support, what if someone makes a mistake and puts an item/lion in the trade that they didn't intend on trading? Or what if they put the wrong price? Then it's stuck in the trading center (potentially allowing it to be bought out) for 30 days? ![]() |

Yea I do like this idea, but I have something that might be worth adding :P Maybe you could edit the trades? Only like, 10 edits a month or something, and you could only edit in in the first few minutes (5 minutes?) of putting it up. Not sure if it would work, just something I thought might be a nice addition :3 ![]() |

I sort of agree, but think it should probably be two or three weeks, rather than a whole month, because, as others said, what if someone accidentally does the wrong thing? I will support if you change from a month (not that I am bribing or anything, but I just disagree with the current time space in which you can trade.) I also think people should be able to decide whether or not people want to use their 20 trades for decor/food/feathers or cubs/lions/lionesses. ![]() |

But I do really like the latest edit, where you can let old lionesses back into the den if you want to. ![]() |

I personally use more than 20 trades in a month, and it would be a huge inconvenience if suddenly I couldn't sell things my usual way. ![]() |

No support, no support at all. Limits on trades would only force users who have run out to use transfers instead, and that would greatly increase the amount of scammers ("send me the lion, Ill send you payment right away!" and sending nothing). Lioden is strongly against promise transactions and limits on trades will force those for everyone who reached their limit. Some events base upon being able to swap things with other users. It would be devastating for events like November when you need certain herbs for quests and some users do more than 20 trades per day, much more in entire month. With addition of gems, all events with their crafts will also be affected. Users wont be able to swap for gems they need to craft with the limits. And overall it's simply wrong. If users want to change their mind on trading something, they should be able to do it without being punished. No one ever changes their mind in just a minute - it was either the trade was already bought out (most likely) or they made a mistake making it, put a wrong lion or item in. Would you like to be punished like that yourself, think about it? NO support. ![]() Edited on 09/02/16 @ 09:05:32 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |
