Before I begin the suggestion allow me to reminder you all that I've only been on here about a month, so please be gentle! I looked through a few pages of topics and didn't see anything like this, so here it goes... Right now the only way to get a mutated lion is by chance through breeding, the potential of getting a mutated cub can be influenced in a number of ways, though, such as GMO Cows, Lion Meat, and low fertility. However, what if there was a way to mutate lions who were born without a mutation? I'm thinking an item, something like "Biohazardous Waste." This item would be rare and valuable, but I'm not sure of the nuances. Maybe it's an expensive oasis item? Maybe it's an item available from one of the shops which open exclusively during certain events? If you do get this item, though, it wouldn't guarantee your lion become mutated. The chance of your lion becoming mutated would increase the younger they are, but the maximum possibility of this item resulting in a mutation would be around 50% at it's maximum, or even lower - the actual percentage is negotiable! If the item doesn't work a number of other things could happen, though? Maybe nothing happens, maybe it causes your lioness fertility to change, maybe it changes randomly mane type or eye color, or maybe you can even get a decor out of it! So, to summarize, I propose an item which is very rare and valuable that has up to a 50% chance of causing a (non-lethal) mutation in your lion and up to a 50% chance of resulting in one of several other possible outcomes. Thoughts? Edit The GMO Cow has been mentioned a couple of times, this would be different. The GMO Cow increases the chances of mutation in the next litter if eaten by a lioness, the idea I'm suggesting would impact lions after they've already been born and would have no impact on upcoming litters. |

No support. GMO Cows already exist, they will sell in a later teir of the Prophet Shop. ![]() |

This is a really nice idea. Yes, there are GMO cows, but something like this just sounds different and exciting. You get a support from me. ![]() |

I'm not really sure about this. Also, for reference's sake, lion meat has a ~38% chance of giving mutts, while GMOs have a ~68% chance (Last time I checked I think for cottonroot it was around 18%?), so 50% is way too high for an item like this o3o ![]() |

No support. Lion(ess) can not be made a mutant. In real it is also not possible. If we put sutch item in, more muties will be born, so less the value of them. Now it is a change of luck. SO let that be. ![]() |

Hmmmm. With holding :) I like the idea in general, but I do agree with the rest regarding the amount of mutation items in gameplay. Course, mutants are held more so of a trophy than anything else really, so I don't value the items much so I can't say anything for the others. Not to mention, Xy has a thing with man made things >.> I mean, some of the things in the decor suggestions thread he made are usually rejected due to the fact that it requires human interference and probably 0 relavance to animals. Again, love the idea and I'd hate to see this idea get pounded to the ground with negative responses off the bat, so I'll just ask maybe change the item (what it appears as), item usage, game play obtaining (who the hell leaves bio hazardous things in the middle of nowhere where starving animals roam? Not a lot of trustable companies I hope) and other information:) ![]() Edited on 12/09/15 @ 22:15:11 by :||W H I T E O U T||: I.R.I.S. (#34167) |
