Hello and welcome to the main hub for Flixies, a semi-open species created by me! All the art you find here was made by me, and I will be updating (hopefully!) each week with 2 of each sex! I will try to update on Fridays or Saturdays but sometimes life may have other ideas. Check back frequently for new developments! • First come, first served, generally. Be polite and be sure to follow all of Lioden's rules as well. :) Flixies are a relatively new species recently discovered in a long-forgotten forest. Having had no contact with humans prior, they had no reason to distrust them and were easily tamed. They are known for their active and playful lifestyles as well as their unshakable loyalty to their owner. Though they are not necessarily committed to one partner for their entire lifetime, they are typically exclusive for the duration of their courtship. They gather in small groups, not always comprised of only related Flixies. They feed on insects and small prey animals such as mice, voles, and anything that's smaller than their head, which are rather small to begin with. It is not beyond a Flixie to eat vegetation though it is not clear whether this is a needed diet staple or merely boredom/quirk. Fruits are a favorite snack for many Flixies, especially muscadines and blackberry. Flixies come in a variety of colors, shapes, and with different styles of wings. No two Flixies are alike (Except for twins, etc)! If the numbers match, a mutation will exist!) Flixies are born sterile and seem to gain fertility when fed a sufficient amount of muscadines. As muscadines are difficult to cultivate in the area, it is expensive to treat a Flixie for fertility and so is not done often unless under special circumstances or for particularly special Flixies. The number of kits in a litter ranges from 2~4, sometimes with more or less. All Flixies go to their new homes with a full reference, customized with name as well as the image you see in the 'available' section. Sometimes, very, very special Flixies will be brought in and will even have a one-of-a-kind avatar and a fancier reference sheet that goes with them!
