PersonalitiesNow THIS is a BIG update we have to split in TWO because of the amount of work and because we need you guys to prepare and get used to some stuff! All lions on Lioden now will display a Personality (Lion Currents) that is set in a spectrum category. There’s five main categories - Evil, Snarky, Neutral, Kind and Good. The personalities that your lions show belong to each category and are different for males and females because they work differently. Female personalities right now have no effect, but they will in few weeks! Your pride will be alive and generate buffs, debuffs, RPG texts and some personality clashes will produce fights or parties and will affect gameplay! Your pride will become ALIVE! Don't worry though, the clashes are only if lions are opposite personalities, it's very easy to adjust their personalities to not have any problems! Male effects: They're in game starting now. On bottom there's a fun Snake that will explain you what each personality does - LINK. You can also buy some Personality Changing Items there! There's also a pride effect! Evil Lion will boost other Evil Lions and Snarky lions, but will debuff all Good Lions :o and so forth, here's a chart:  Note: We might add more effects in next updates. And here's a list of Lioness personalities, their categories are affected by your male:  Karma: Good and Evil personalities appear in cubs if your karma is high or low enough. Breeding: Mom's and Dad's categories have equal chance to affect EACH cub in litter, and your karma has extra chance to affect on top of that. For example, if Main Lion is Heartless and lioness is Warm, each one of cubs has a chance to be either Evil or Kind, and get any personality from those categories! Explore:If main male's personality category is matching claimable NCL's there's a chance she will join your pride without courtship! We have mass-reset personalities of existing lions upon News Launch again just in case you guys regret picking a personality before reading this. All personalities default to Modest/Neutral and there's a dropdown - you can pick a common personality (Snarky/Neutral/Kind spectrum) once per lion. All newly bred/created/claimed lions won't be affected by this, they start the game with this feature now! - Dropdown doesn't time out, it will go away only when you pick a personality. You cannot use personality items on a lion that already has a dropdown. The Dropdown shows SNARKY/NEUTRAL/KIND personalities only! Good and Evil are not common! You need to breed them or get via 1 GB item. Note: Because of upcoming personality buffs and how males affect prides, Rollover mood drop has been raised to 10% from 5%. What future holds: - Female personalities and pride interactions! - Negative and Positive buffs per lion, hunt, breedings, etc! - Pride fights and parties and their effect on lion's duties! - Cub growth and interaction will be affected by some Personalities! - Event rewards - exclusive Personalities and effects! - Explore Expansions with buttons appearing only if you have specific personalities! You can access Personality Snake from under the Explore Map, where Giving Tree link is. New Base!  Hazelnut base is a Cream Light Countershade Common base available in customizers! Awesome Updates! We have Chasing lions that makes some of your chased lions appear iin wild, and we have a Kill button that kills/deletes a lion from Lioden and grants you -5 karma. Now, time for something for Good lions! "Send Lion Away" Button is now there under Kill - it will send your lion to a Nature Preserve, will grant you +5 karma and waste 5% energy (cause it's a long stroll). It also deletes the lion from Lioden (sorry, can't return it if you regret). Shad has added new tags, check them out as usual! :D Raffle LionessCongrats Creeping Smokefall (#59114)! you have won the last mutie raffle lady along with Night Vegetation raffle background! Newest lady has new marking, Vitiligo 6 as well as the Lush Oasis background and is up for impressing in Special Lioness area in Explore or in NEWS section under News Post List!  Per request, due to some people being unable to hover in the snake page:  This nice looking mask will make your lion switch personality to a random common one.  This special Ancestral Mask will let you pick any personality for your lion. It is a nice idea, at first, but as Axel has pointed out: It needs a lot of work and isn't as thought out as it should be. For example: "Just a bit more toys. And if you have a large pride I'd assume you already use Play All" No, I would not... even with 60 lions in my pride, I would not, because I simply like to choose which items I am using and which I am not using, especially since I NEED some for NESTING. Also, why the raise from 5% to 10%?? If neutrals won't get a boost of 10% on either (evil or good) ... those people who want to stay neutral will thusly get punished. I can, kiiiiind of, understand why you try to negate the buff, but then could you please make the "Play" option with lionesses not drop down below 10% then as well? So far, I would use items for nesting just fine or sell the ones that I won't need in the future, plan for the firefly event (yes, I do it a year prior already) without a problem, but now I have to hope that, if I play with them, it won't get the low roll below 10%. As Axel has pointed out and someone else, forgot their name - but the heir was Regulus XD -, if you want to make your main male Evil ... you, if you want to get buffs and stuff, have to focus that your lionesses will be Evil as well. BUT (!) if you want to plan to switch the main male's personality to Good (because you RP that the heir planned to kill the old cruel dude or whatever) then you got a real problem and have to spend a lot of GB to fix it. Also, it would be nice to give us the option of 1GB or 1000SB for the mask as well =/. As of now, I am not really fond of this whole concept. I have to say that it was a nice idea, but it should have been more thought through before it launched. As some others, I am, at the moment, scared to pick wrong personalities and have to pay a ton to make it right afterwards =(. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Would love some clarification on whether having a main lion as "Good" would only give a boost in mood to other "good" lions in the pride or if that would extend to "kind" as well. Same for Evil and Snarky. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm so excited to have such an imaginative feature implemented! It does make the pride feel more alive! I'm just as excited that you've offered "neutral" personalities for people who think this makes gameplay too complex or counter to what they're trying to get out of it (while I love the almost one-person-RP flavor this has, I'll also admit to sometimes just wanting to join a site like this to breed for pretty colors and patterns and look at shiny pictures when I don't feel like thinking too hard about anything and just want to decompress). I'm confused about this. My lion does not have any of the "good" or "evil" options available in his drop down. I haven't changed him yet, so why are they not all there? I want to choose a good option, but none of them are there. Is it because I don't have good enough karma?
