* PLEASE FULLY READ before commenting, thanks! :) * - In real life, albino is the same thing as achromia. There's no point in having both on Lioden, they're the same condition. - It is very, very rare, and to my knowledge there has never been a true albino lion--only white (faded) lions. - Albinos are FAR too common on Lioden. Suggestion: remove random "albino." Rename "albino" and make it a different, inheritable base coat (someone else suggested Snowy or the like). Restrict albino mutations to the rare Achromia mutation. _______ (Many modifications to the albino mechanic on Lioden have been suggested, but not this exact one.) |

I support. It doesn't make sense that albino works differently than others. If it really was albino, they would have no markings. What we call albino is achromia. Then let's just keep achromia as the mutation, and make albino a base just like every other base. Snowy would be a good name. 0 players like this post! Like? |

When I get onyx lions, I make sure they have black noses. If I get anything other then an onyx base on a cub, the nose will be a brown. Sometimes I'll get brown nose on albino, but when I get black I get angry because I know I could have had an onyx cub (what I breed for) I once had the perfect lion, but albino base ruined it and tbh the base change wasn't worth it. The mother died before I could try again. Albino is Achromia without covering markings. Get rid of the Albino base, or call it something different and remove the random chance. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd be in favor of renaming the base, but not removing it altogether. I've personally never gotten a random albino cub (my king is albino, so the base passes from that), but I absolutely love the base. It's my favorite. I don't want to see it removed from the game entirely. Change the name to Snowy or something of the like? Sure, I'd be on board with that. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kenai, nose colour doesn't have any link to base colour, it's a 5% chance (IIRC, can hunt for the newspost) of the cub inheriting the colour from a parent rather than having the colour associated with it's base o3o; That said, no support. There are people who breed for albinos, and it's a useful base to have at the other end of the spectrum to onyx, given that the 'white' base is rather greyish. I'd support possibly decreasing the appearance rate of albino, as even I feel 5% is a bit high with it still being available via normal breeding, but not replacing it altogether. 0 players like this post! Well, I get really tired of the Gray base. It's been really common for me. I don't want it change because I'm tired of it, though. Some people really like certain bases. I love Albino and don't want to see it changed (except for maybe that dumb random chance thing, which makes no sense). 0 players like this post! Like? |

Actually, I think this suggestion is about making albino a normal base, not about removing it from the game. Just changing the name and removing the random chance of getting an albino cub from any parents. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Getting rid of it entirely wouldn't be necessary, but i would support making it a very rare base, with like 15% pass rate or even less, and remove the 5% chance in every litter... we really have way too many albinos :P it's a pain in the rear end when you breed for dark-based lions and get a perfectly markinged lion, just that... it's snow white. :P 0 players like this post! What Cytosine says is correct; it's about making it a standardized, renamed base, rather than a random % chance that doesn't really make sense in its implementation. Also as Cyto said, real albino masks markings--as Achromia does in-game. Please read the suggestion fully before replying! Also, Tansy, I can pretty much guarantee that your king isn't what passes on the albino. I get a good 1/4 of my cubs as albinos, I think, which can ruin rare-base breedings -all the time- and is pretty frustrating. 0 players like this post! Like? |
