Duskfall Pack Territory Sunrise Pack Territory NEW Sign-Ups Thread The Packs - Sunrise Pack- Current alpha is female; The pack lives on some hilly plains in the shadow of a mountain and the only direct sunlight the camp gets is during the morning to the afternoon(sun rise to about 2). There is a shallow lake below the camp. The dens are caves in large boulders or carved into the sides of the mountain facing the east. The highest dens on the mountainside are occupied by the higher ranked wolves and their mates. The ones closest to the lake (slightly damper and colder) and in the lowest rockfaces are occupied by the lower ranked wolves. (see rank challenges and Sunrise mate challenge) Duskfall Pack- Current alpha is male; The pack lives in eye shot of the western side of the mountain. The westernmost point of the territory is dense forest and the easternmost point is flat plains. In the middle of the territory is wooded shrubland. The camp is located in the westernmost area of the shrublands, the dens are made in the bushes and dug under the roots of large trees. (see rank challenges and Duskfall mate challenge) Ranks Pack Ranks * Alpha (1) male OR female, the leader; has the last say in every decision * Beta (1) male OR female; second in command; advisor of alpha and the one who is in charge of domestic decisions/debates within the pack ^DON'T HAVE TO BE MATES. But must HAVE/CHOOSE mates in the pack...which unless special circumstance by vote of pack or victory in battle - ranked at least Royal Guards. * Deltas (2) young wolves next in line for alpha/beta; chosen as pups/young adols to lead after alpha/beta steps down - they have NO TRUE PACK STATUS [i.e. - not above or below the Zeta]; are still higher-classed wolves since they are most likely former sigmas; did not become apprentices, graduated straight to delta * Zeta (1) Commander of the warriors; third in command; war general; fighting and battle strategy is his/her specialty * Kappa (1) lead hunter; male or female; hunting and formation strategy is his/her specialty * Nobles (2-8) 1-4 females, 1-4 males; no real duty/job. Hunt AND fight for the pack; can also be royal ambassadors in the place of the beta and alpha * Royal Guards (2-5) Guards of the high class wolves' pups. * Apprentices (unlimited) former Sigmas; 6-20 months old. Will become either royal guards or nobles; were not chosen to be deltas. * Sigmas (3 litters [1-2 pups per litter]) pups of upper class wolves. DELTAS DO NOT HAVE PUPS; deltas are chosen from these pups unless there are VERY special circumstances; separated from the 'Juniors' - these wolves start training at 6 months old ~~~^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Higher Class ^ ^ ^ ^ ^~~~ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~V V V V V Lower Class V V V V V~~~ * Healer (1) possesses sharp knowledge of herbs/medicines for healing packmates; not allowed to have pups or a mate unless given permission; if they are found to be guilty of this law * Warriors (2-7) fighters; fight for pack safety; guard the pack * Hunters (2-7) hunters; usually females or lanky/long-legged males * Scouts (2-4) Scout out the herds for large hunts; spies; keep track of battles and report back to the captains of the battle/alpha-beta; messengers * Tenderfeet (unlimited 'a tenderfoot') in training to become either a hunter, scout, or warrior. Former 'Pups'. 8-20 months old. * Juniors (2 litters [1-3 pups per litter]) Pups born to hunters/warriors/scouts are watched over by the omega; start training at 8 months old * Elders (2) --- respected by upper class and lower class alike; the wisest/oldest of the wolves (8-12 years) * Omega (1) lowest ranked wolf; eat last, watch the warriors and hunter's pups while parents are away Rank Challenges Lower ranked wolves normally can't become high classed wolves, nor can they battle for higher ranks. However, in the light of the full moon, lower ranked wolves can challenge one of the current position holders of the royal guards. If the lower ranked wolf is victorious, the defeated/former royal guard becomes a warrior or can challenge either the Zeta or another royal guard for their position come morning. Either wolf can submit during the fight to admit their defeat before they are seriously injured or shamed. ******HOWEVER #1-Warriors/hunters can challenge the Zeta/Kappa at any time as long as the fight is witnessed by the alpha and/or beta and consent must be given by both the alpha and beta. If the Zeta/Kappa refuses to fight the warrior/hunter, an explicit reason must be given. ******HOWEVER #2-Alpha/beta's lower class potential mate (are in love, etc) can fight for any rank they choose ABOVE Royal Guard (nobles, zeta, kappa). The Sunrise pack mate challenge will begin at sunrise and last until sunhigh (noon). The Duskfall pack mate challenge will begin at dusk (evening) and last until midnight. Rank Tips- ~ know the difference between the 'sigma' and the 'juniors' ~ zeta = lead warrior/war general ~ kappa = lead hunter ~ Apprentices are high class trainees and Tenderfeet are low class trainees. Name: Killua Gender: M Age: 2 years give or take Pack: None~ wants to join Duskfall Rank: Undecided but most likely hunter to keep his fighting abilities a secret. Family: unrevealed, Illumi is his brother. Strengths (2-3)and Weaknesses (2 min): + His fighting ability has been honed since birth and is almost unequaled. The only ones to best him or his brother in skills would have been their grandmother, in her earlier prime. Their parents are above them as well, but just barely- now that the brothers are getting into their prime. Like his brother, he kills fast, and hides his presence as much as he can. His brother is the moore stealthy of the two, thanks to his white pelt that is very much a contrast to his family's heritage. Together, they are the ultimate fighters, the literal yin and yang of violence (lol). His style is quiet and quick, and, like his brother, goes for the kill. + Lightning fast striker has always been his best weapon. He stays hidden as well as he can, and then he attacks. His attacks have been described as invisible, and only Illumi can seem to read his movements exactly, though his family can usually spot some of his movements thanks to their sensitive eyes. On the run travellers have often been warned of a fast striker, and a few times he's been called out, moments before he and or Illumi slaughter the wolf. If you see a flash of white, it is already too late. If his pelt is touched by e sun futing his atttack, you might understand why he is - in particular, LIGHTNING flash. At first, his pack considered dropping him off at anothrr pack, or killing him, becausee of his white pelt. Seeing as he WAS the pup they had wished for as the son of the perfect combination, he was allowed to live and prove himself. At three months, he bested every pup, and the omega, in a race for 'traying' or 'play training'. At six months, he cut down a rabbit that wandered into the camp, before any of the fully trainrd warriors even sniffed it out, saying it was his and Illumi's prey, no one else could eat it. In the pack, this was respectable and the wolves expected pups to learn survival of the fittest on their own, whether it be by death, being maimed, or survival. Where Illumi was punished if their parents could sense him coming, Killua was punished if they could hear, smell, or see him coming. + Extremely sensitive ears and nose, picks up a lot of scents faster than most and hears danger before its smelled or seen. He is always the lookout and hunter for groups. ~ Clingy (find in personality with Illumi) ~ His biggest weakness is females and pups. He, unlike most of his famiy, finds it much harder to kill females and pups, though its never stopped him before, just plagued his dreams like a disease. Personality: I'd like the pack to find this out along the way so I won't say too much... Killua is the outgoing and slightly flashy brother. He's not outright flamboyant or vain, and won't openly show off without a very good reason. He's insanely clingy to Illumi and doesn't like to lose sight of him for more than a few moments, he's too familiar with the danger of a mission and feels his brother is the only one that understands him. They were for the most part unloved by anyone but their grandfather and grandmother, their mother showing them plenty of tough love while their fater was less than present unless they were training. Killua doesnt like weakness and is the more humorous of the two, giving a joke here and there or laughing about something he found funny. Biography: He was raised in a renowned pack from a far off territory (pack name withheld for now) and his parents were chosen to breed in order to produce the 'perfect litter', this including himself and his brother. Whether they could be considered 'perfect' is up to you. He is a quiet wolf so he won't say much about anything, especially his birth pack, he might mention leaving for a very good reason and that it isnt the pack you want to join for happy memories usually. Other: Sunfall. Based off a mix of my own OC and (named after) a great character in an anime (brother IS Illumi in anime too, if you find them you get brownie points and some ideas of sun's and i's characters >:)) Description/Image: Pure white pelt. There is not a touch of any other color on him, unless he cakes his pelt in mud to stay hidden during a stealth mission, which he does often, actually. Like his brother, he is slightly fluffier than the average wolf and even has a small growth of hair on his forehead that drapes over his eyes, which are an icy blue that can stun any eyes into getting lost in. The reason he hides them with his forehead fur as well as he can and as often as possible. -picture later, been on phone for past few days- 0 players like this post!
