She was orphaned at birth from her mother passing at birth and her father being shot by a peacekeeper, since then she's been tossed around from family to family most can't support her for more than a year. She is essentially given all that she needs to survive and much more. Her luxurious life in the capitol seems to be perfect until one day she gets robbed. Instead of calling for help, she rushes after the thieves but they assault her before she can confront them. They are two individuals from the districts: Serena, from district 8, and Cato, from district 2. She bargains with them and eventually convinces Cato to release her. We can have them take her back to the district and Sora can see what is truly going on in the districts and feel pretty bad about the way she has been living. We can allow them to all get to know each other better and we can have them all be summoned into the games. Sora is scared for her friends going into the arena so she becomes the first ever person from the capitol to enter. What will happen? Will any of them make it out? (Yay! I'm back from vacation! I should be more active now!) :D Maple Maple headed straight over to the edible plants and fauna station. No one else was at that station so Maple had it all to herself. The trainer there seemed pretty impressed with her knowledge of wheat and grasses, but Maple still had poor knowledge of other plant categories. Maple noticed Serena and Cato, whom she had met in the elevator, were going to the weapons. Aster was trying to lift a heavy battle axe from the weapons pile but his stick-figure arms betrayed him and he was left to stare at a redhead girl from district 7 throw an axe perfectly and hit the fall with such force one of the game makers actually looked up and nodded approvingly. Maple focused on the plants she had to remember. 'Nightlock and Hemlock are poisonous.' Maple thought to herself as she examined the plants. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Serena picked up a bow and a quiver filled to the brim with arrow. Cato picked out a sword similar to the one he had left back at home. He swung it at a dummy and sliced it up quite a bit. His reflexes were quick and concise but powerful. Serena loaded an arrow into a bow and fired it at a series of moving targets. She hit the bullseye every time. Her movements were flyid and gentle but lethal just the same. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maple Maple left the plants and fauna station and headed over to the weapons, this was where she really needed help. Maple picked up a few weapons to experiment with; a small bow with a quiver, a small axe, a small trident, a little dagger, and a little sword. Maple walked over to where a bunch of tributes were destroying the dummies. Maple stabbed with the trident, too top heavy. She threw the axe and missed terribly only managing to cut off the dummy's arm. Maple stabbed with the sword and dagger, she could work with them if she had to preferably the sword because it had better range. Maple took out the bow and shot a few times, only a little off target so not too bad, she could work with a bow too. Maple spent the rest of the time, until lunch, practicing the bow and sword. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Serena lowered her bow once she was fresh put of arrow. She looked about the room gently. Brecken was off attempting to make some type of complicated trap, the little girl was working vigorously to perfect her shot, and the girl from District 2 was hammering away at a dummy not too far away. They all had supreme strengths but it was quite clear they all had glaring weaknesses as well. Then it dawned on her. The parade was tonight. She was going to be presented to the Capitol for the first time. She had never made friends easily and she figured that if she had a fatal flaw this was it. Even Cato could persuade people to like him, but not her. Feelings of affection didnt come easily to her and to be fair she wasnt the best actress. But if her, Cato, Sora, and Katsu were going to be a strong team they all needed to be liked and most importantly they needed to act as though they liked each other which may be a bit tricky for Cato and Katsu at the moment. She shoved the thought aside as she put the bow and quiver back where they belonged. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Geez, I have a friend over for two nights, I reply a few hours before I get into bed and roleplay with my friend, and then by the afternoon after my friend leaves I have to read like 5 or more posts!) Sora Fox - 14 Sora waited patiently as the elevator stopped at every floor necessary. She watched as it stopped at floor 2, and Katsu boarded the elevator wearing a a green shirt with a tree on it. Sora held back her laughter when she realized what the big words on the shirt said, but a small giggle managed to escape her. The tributes only glanced at her, but other than that they ignored her. The elevator let them off on the training floor, and she looked around the room. Everyone was finding something they were good at, and even trying new things. Sora spotted Serena and Cato at the weapons station and rushed over to them. "Hi Serena, hi Cato" she greeted them before picking up a long sword and examining it. Katsu Hunt - 16 Katsu boarded the elevator, and ignored Sora even when she giggled. It was his shirt. He was glad when the elevator let them off on the training floor, and he examined all the stations. None really suited him. Katsu walked over to a station where a few people were kicking and punching dummies. He positioned himself in front of a lonely dummy, and started hitting it with quick kicks and punches. Memories flooded back to him of when he took Karate, and he smiled slightly and he hit the dummy harder and harder. 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Lol its how we roll lol) Serena looked back at Sora and nodded to her gently. "Hello," she replied as she looked back at Katsu, punching and kicking one of the dummies before turning her attention back to her, "Are you alright? I know you were upset last night. I wanted to follow you but I wouldnt have known what to say even if I did catch up." Cato was too busy slicing away at the dummy to focus on Sora. He felt a slight rush of anger as Katsu passed him. Sora Fox - 14 Sora gave Serena a smile. "Ya, I just needed some time alone" she said as she saw Cato decapitate the dummy he had been attacking. She looked down at the long sword in her hands, and then looked at one of the dummies. "I don't understand why my trainer had me fight him instead of one of these silly dummies" she sighed as she set down the long sword and picked up some throwing knives. Katsu Hunt - 16 Katsu kept attacking the dummy until he was breathing hard and sweat was pouring down his face. He took a few steps back from the dummy, and looked over to where Sora was. Of course, she had gone over to the weapons station where they had all they're deadly and sharp weapons. Katsu sent a glance at Cato to see he had decapitated a dummy. He quickly turned his attention back to the dummy, and continued kicking and punching it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Serena smiled gently and nodded. "Cato learned the same way you did," she replied, "A dummy can only teach you so much." She took Sora's hand gently and pulled her toward the targets. "I'm waiting to be impressed," she said sarcastically nodding at the throwing knives as a grin came over her lips. Cato looked over at one of the girls who was throwing objects. He tilted her head slighty as he watched. She didnt look particularly strong but she certainly had strength hidden somewhere on her body. Sora Fox - 14 As Serena pushed Sora over to the dummy, she looked at the throwing knives in her hands. To be honest, Sora had never used throwing knives before. She had threw her dagger at a target before, but that was different. She looked up at the target, then looked at Serena. "Just to warn you, I'm not that good" she warned before she turned to look at the dummy. Sora pointed one of the throwing knives and the dummy, and took aim.
