I am an admin, not a player, I might not think/see all questions that could be useful to have in our FAQ. That's why I need your help!

Please use this thread to suggest questions (and answers if you want) to our FAQ, and I will be updating it from time to time, removing the suggestions comments as I add them.

This suggestion has 81 supports and 3 NO supports.

Small pre-existing issue that with the implementation of the "Accounts" tab being the first on the list while not being the first page created, the FAQ redirects immediately to the "Beetles" tab and one must click on "Accounts" to go to the beginning of the FAQ (I don't know if that made sense lol.)

Someone already mentioned this, but I guess I'll expand on the idea:

What is a "rollover"?

Rollover is basically the Lioden site going to sleep for the night and waking up again all in the matter of one click!
Your lions, cubs, food, trades, litters, and raffles will all age by one (1) day every rollover. Lions will also lose 10% mood (or 5%-20%, depending on your personality) per rollover, and 20% hunger. If your lions are at 60% hunger or 40% mood, they are at risk of running away upon your next rollover, and you must pay 200SB per lion to reclaim them, providing you have slots to place them back into. Feeding/Amusing your lions will prevent this - but watch out for the lightning bolt symbol (overcrowding.png) to indicate a lion is at risk of leaving!
Similarly, if you have 20/20 slots for lionesses or 2/2 slots for submales, but have an adolescent female/male aged 1 year 11 months, they will run away upon your rollover because there is no room for them when they age! Older lions (15+ years of age) have a chance to die upon every rollover, but don't worry! You can add them to your pride dynasty to view their beautiful, fuzzy faces whenever you want! Cubs that are not under the protection of a broodmother will drop their survival rate every rollover. When their survival chance gets below 40%, a skull icon (danger.png) will appear next to their name, indicating they are at risk of dying upon next rollover. Cubs that die cannot be retrieved or revived, and their records will not be stored in your pride dynasty.
In addition, food that will expire in 1 day will disappear from your hoard upon your next rollover unless it is eaten, sold, or thrown away.
Rollover is good! It shortens the time until your lionesses' next heat, puts any litters you have closer to their birth day, resets your lionesses' hunts back to 10, and you also get a small prize every time you roll your account over! These prizes range from some SB, a random carcass, random toy, and if you continually roll your account over for a full month, you'll receive a Random Marking Applicator (RMA) on your 29th successive rollover!
Note that your account can only roll over once every new Lioden day, but if you have a side account, don't forget to roll that one too, because even if they are linked, rollover must be done for both accounts.

When does rollover happen?

Rollover happens every 24 hours at roughly 02:05 A.M. Lioden time, although rollovers are staggered between 02:04 A.M. and 02:12 A.M. (times?)
Note that Lioden servers do not participate in Daylight Savings Time. If you are used to your rollover at a certain time, i.e., 03:05 A.M. Mountain Standard Time, or MT (UTC-7) when Daylight Savings Time starts, your rollover will now be at 02:05 A.M., as if you were in the same timezone Lioden is in!

What if I don't want to roll over - my lions might run away!

Rollover can not be prevented or postponed if a player wishes to continue accessing the site. The only thing that loads when rollover comes around is the chat window - no other part of the site, your den, your hoard, or your king will be accessible to you until you've rolled your account. Remember that if your lions have left, you need 200SB per lion to reclaim them! In addition, run away/left lions will only be in limbo in a recoverable state for 7 real-life days. A real-life day is when the Lioden time reaches 00:00 A.M. (12 midnight) and the date displayed below has moved to the next consecutive calendar date. If it says you can reclaim a lioness for 1 more day, remember that you do not have until rollover of that day, you only have until 23:59/11:59 P.M..

I hit the rollover button but the screen just keeps loading! What happened?

Sometimes, rollover simply takes a really long time. There might be server lag, a poor internet connection, lots of users rolling over/accessing the site at the same time, or it might just be taking longer than usual. Don't panic, it will load! If you've been waiting more than 60 seconds, you may attempt refreshing the page or hitting F5 on your keyboard to reload the screen. This might not always work, but it's a good thing to try!
If you've been stuck in rollover for 10 minutes or more, attempt to flag down a staff member in the chat window to see if they can assist, or forward the issue to someone that can help you.

I might add to this later, but it just seemed important/relevant to really explain what rollover does to people who are new. :o

Edit, addition:
(Possibly addition to the section about freezing on FAQ/Gameplay...I dunno if you guys want to talk about unofficial freezing but I included it in this anyway, in case it's helpful!)

What is "freezing" a lion? Is it permanent?

Freezing a lion, officially, is done through the use of a jellyfish item. They are 1-use items that will perpetually freeze a cub (Jellyfish) or adolescent/adult (Turritopsis Jellyfish) in time forever! Your frozen lions will not age, get hungry, or need to be played with - and if you've frozen an older (13 years+) lion, they are returned to their previous adult looks without wrinkles, all pretty again like they were when they were younger! Freezing a young cub with a lethal mutation will prevent them from dying, and you will forever have your cub as a "trophy" lion to keep in your den.
Freezing is permanent, unless you revert the use of the item within 1 hour of applying it - this is a safety measure in case you've frozen the wrong lion or cub and need to undo your action.
The Jellyfish item (only works on cubs) is not sold in Monkey Business or the Oasis - it is a jackpot prize for the game "Slots." It can only be purchased from Branch sales or from the Trading Center by other users.
The Turritopsis Jellyfish (only works on adolescents/adults) can be purchased from the Oasis at any time for 5GB.

Every account begins with one (1) free slot for frozen lions. To expand that number of slots, to hold more frozen lions, you must pay a fee in GB by clicking the "+" next to your count of frozen lions on your main den screen.

Freezing a lion unofficially, however, is done through the process of gifting a lion or cub to an account that is not being rolled - hopefully your own side account or the account of someone you trust! Remember, there are no rules guarding promise-based transactions, so be aware of who you're talking to and doing business with! Don't get scammed by someone that says they'll hold/freeze a lion for you but who then decides to keep it and never give it back!
Since rollover ages lions by 1 day each roll, an un-rolled account will stay perpetually "frozen" on the last date the player has signed in. meaning that no lions will age unless the account is signed into and rolled.
Players will sometimes "unofficially" freeze their best lionesses that are in heat to keep them in heat "longer" or until they have breeding items/territory space to breed them; or to hold an old lion that is close to the 15-year mark until the player has a Turritopsis Jellyfish item to freeze them officially and permanently.

Please note that freezing a lion by keeping it on an un-rolled account is a creation from the player base, and not an official strategy/feature endorsed by Lioden staff! You run the risk of losing a lion permanently to an untrustworthy player every time you give/gift someone one of your lions! Be careful!

All for now! :]

#37 # is the question that asks about previewing decor on lions. I think the equipper button would be a better place to point players in instead of the wardrobe, or just in addition to the wardrobe.

what if there was a way to undo for claims and the user could choose to not or to put it there such as 5th claim 1st could go to 5th and it would be unfair and a place where we can see who claimed our stuff and what we claimed I just got the idea after claiming a primal and never getting it even tho he said 5th claim I still don't know the user :(

Hello!

I was wondering if scouts, herbalists/medics, pairbonds or things that are similar are being thought to be added into the game? Myself as well as many others may be thinking the same thing.
